Al-Munaqqab

Qaratil (Arabic: قراتيل Qarātīl) is a village in Hamdan District of Sanaa Governorate, Yemen. It is located a bit to the south of the road between Sanaa and Shibam Kawkaban.

Raba' Hamdan (Arabic: ربع همدان) is a sub-district located in Hamdan District, Sana'a Governorate, Yemen. Raba' Hamdan had a population of 29032 according to the 2004 census.

Ad-Dummam (Arabic: الدمم ad-Dummam) is a village in Hamdan District of Sanaa Governorate, Yemen.

Suq Bayt Naʽam (Arabic: سوق بيت نعم Sūq Bayt Naʽam), also called simply Bayt Naʽam and known historically as Bayt Anʽam, is a village in Hamdan District of Sanaa Governorate, Yemen. It is located at the uppermost part of the Wadi Dahr, where the water from the catchment area above Lu'lu'ah descends into the wadi through a narrow gorge, overlooked by a fort. The road from Sanaa to Shibam Kawkaban passes through here.

Luluwah (Arabic: لولوة), also Lu'lu'ah, is a village in Hamdan District of Sanaa Governorate, Yemen. It is located in the upper reaches of the Wadi Zahr, below Rayʽan and above the beginning of the wadi proper at Suq Bayt Naʽam. Surface water here forms a stream which flows into the Wadi Zahr at Suq Bayt Naʽam; this stream was historically known as the Ghayl Luluwah.

Qaryat al-Qabil (Arabic: قرية القابل Qaryat al Qābil), often called simply al-Qaryah, is a village in Bani al-Harith District of Amanat al-Asimah Governorate, Yemen. It is the largest settlement in the Wadi Zahr area.

The Dar al-Hajar (Arabic: دار الحجر, "Stone House" or "Rock Palace") is a former royal palace located in Wadi Dhar about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from Sanaa, Yemen. Built in 1920 as the summer retreat of Yahya Muhammad Hamid ed-Din, Imam of Yemen from 1904 to 1948, it sits on top of a structure built in 1786 for the scholar al-Imam Mansour. The royal family resided in the palace until the North Yemen Civil War. The palace is currently a museum.

ʽAlman (Arabic: علمان ʽAlmān), also ʽUlman, is a village in Bani al-Harith District of Amanat al-Asimah Governorate, Yemen. It is located on the northern side of the lower end of the Wadi Dahr.

Rayʽan (Arabic: رَيْعَان Rayʿān) is a village in Hamdan District of Sanaa Governorate, Yemen. It is located a short distance from the head of the Wadi Dahr near Bayt Naʽam, so that all the water coming down to the wadi from Jabal An-Nabi Shu'ayb passes through a steep, narrow valley, just north of Rayʽan.

Wadi Zahr (Arabic: وادي ظهر Wādī Ẓahr), also spelled Wadi Dahr (Arabic: وادي ضهر Wādī Ḍahr), is a wadi in Yemen, located just north of Sanaa on the western edge of the Sanaa plain. It is watered by a perennial stream whose source is the large catchment area on the eastern slopes of Jabal An-Nabi Shu'ayb. The wadi proper begins near the village of Suq Bayt Naʽam and then flows eastward for about 7km through a steep-sided gorge before ending on the Sanaa plain. Wadi Zahr has fertile soil and was historically a strategic area with several forts. The main settlement in the area today is Qaryat al-Qabil.

Thaqban (Arabic: ثقبان Thaqbān) is a village in Bani al-Harith District of Amanat al-Asimah Governorate, Yemen. It is located just south of the point where the Wadi Zahr opens out onto the Sanaa plain. It is part of the 'uzlah of Qaryat al-Qabil.

Masyab (Arabic: مَسْيَب), also Musayyib (مُسَيِّب), is a village in Bani Matar District of Sanaa Governorate, Yemen. It is located on the northeastern side of Jabal An-Nabi Shu'ayb.
