Magee Secondary School is a public secondary school on West 49th Avenue, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is one of the first public high schools located in the Kerrisdale neighbourhood and is fed by the surrounding elementary schools in its catchment area. They include Maple Grove Elementary School, Dr. R. E. McKechnie Elementary School, and David Lloyd George Elementary School. It was used as a temporary hospital during the Influenza Epidemic in 1918.

15th Field Artillery Regiment, RCA, is a Primary Reserve Royal Canadian Artillery (RCA) regiment based in Vancouver, British Columbia, at the Bessborough Armoury. 15th Field Regiment is part of the 39 Canadian Brigade Group of 3rd Canadian Division. The regiment was created in 1920 as one of the recommendations of the Otter Committee. In the Second World War it manned the coastal defence artillery guns that protected the Port of Vancouver. After the war the regiment reverted to field artillery. While the regiment has never deployed overseas, several of its members have individually participated in Canadian Forces missions overseas.This unit is not the same 15th Field Artillery Regiment (4th Canadian Armoured Division) that served in the Second World War.

Kitsilano Secondary School is a public secondary school in the Kitsilano neighbourhood of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The school has several district programs including French immersion and on-site pre-employment. Advanced Placement courses are also offered.

Madrona School Society is a not-for-profit independent school located in Vancouver, British Columbia, with a focus on gifted education. Arbutus is a planned underground station on the Millennium Line of Metro Vancouver's SkyTrain rapid transit system. It will be located at the northeast corner of the intersection of West Broadway and Arbutus Street in the Kitsilano neighbourhood of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and will be the western terminus of the Millennium Line when completed. Originally scheduled to open in 2025, the station's projected opening was pushed back to early 2026 in November 2022.The station will provide a connection to the Arbutus Greenway. Passengers continuing to the University of British Columbia (UBC) will have to transfer to a 99 B-Line bus to continue west along Broadway. As the planned new eastern terminus of the 99 B-Line, the station design includes a bus loop. There have been proposals to extend the Millennium Line all the way to UBC, but as of May 2020, funding for that proposal had not been committed. Federal funding was being discussed as of February 2021.

Established in 1997, South Granville (or less commonly "Uptown") is an upscale Business Improvement Area (BIA) and neighbourhood south of Vancouver's downtown core, centred along Granville Street and bordered by the neighbourhoods of Kitsilano, Fairview and Shaughnessy. Separated from Downtown by False Creek, the area runs along Granville Street from the south side of the Granville Street Bridge up to 16th Ave, where storefronts are replaced by the residences and hedges of Shaughnessy. 1907 has been decided as the unofficial birth year of the neighbourhood. In that year Richard Marpole drew up plans for Shaughnessy Heights, the Canadian Pacific Railway's newest subdivision south of 16th Ave, pitched as an alternative to the then-upscale West End ("Blueblood Alley"). This is now known as "First Shaughnessy", or simply Shaughnessy. That same year, what was once Centre Street was given its present name, Granville Street, as the portion north of the bridge already bore that name. In 2007, the South Granville BIA commemorated the neighbourhood's centennial by encasing a state-of-the-art, stainless steel time capsule in concrete and stone under the entrance of the historic Stanley Theatre. As well as being a fast-growing neighbourhood of residences, shops and restaurants, South Granville is home to a vibrant arts and culture scene. The neighbourhood contains a strip, between Broadway and the foot of the Granville Bridge, known as "Gallery Row" which is home to a number of art galleries: Bau-Xi Gallery, Douglas Reynolds Gallery, Ian Tan Gallery, Petley Jones Gallery, Uno Langmann. The South Granville Gallery Association (SGGA) represents the leading fine art galleries on Gallery Row. Further south, the neighbourhood is home to the historic Stanley Theatre, built in 1931. Once a popular cinema in its early days, the Stanley Theatre is now the stage of the Arts Club Theatre Company and the Industrial Alliance Stage.

Arbutus Ridge is an affluent residential neighbourhood in Vancouver's West Side. It is bordered by 16th Avenue in the north, 41st Avenue in the south, Mackenzie Street in the west, and East Boulevard in the east. The neighbourhood is characterized by larger than average lot sizes, with stately homes on tree-lined streets. One of the catalysts for growth in the neighbourhood was the existence of the Vancouver-Steveston Interurban route of the British Columbia Electric Railway, which ran between 1905 and 1958. The route once followed by the interurban is now part of the Arbutus Greenway.
