Cruach nam Mult

Hell's Glen is a glen on the Cowal Peninsula, in the Arrochar Alps between the mountains Cruach nam Mult and Stob an Eas. To the west, it leads to Loch Fyne and to the east, the high mountain Ben Donich. The glen is within the Argyll Forest Park that is itself within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.The glen is named from its name in Gaelic, Glen Iarainn. This means "the Iron Glen" but sounds like the nearby Glen Ifhrinn which means "the Glen of Hell." The glen is also known as An Gleann Beag, "the small glen", in Scottish Gaelic.

Mullach Coire a' Chuir is a rugged mountain near Lochgoilhead in Argyll, Scotland and forms part of the well known Arrochar Alps range. It lies to the west of Glen Goil and is visible from Lochgoilhead.

Stob na Boine Druim-fhinn is a mountain on the Cowal peninsula in Argyll, Scotland, northwest of Lochgoilhead. On 17 January, 1949, a United States Army Air Forces Boeing B-29 Superfortress (44-62279) of the 31st Test and Evaluation Squadron was on a flight from RAF Scampton, England, to Reykjavík, Iceland. At 9:50am, the B-29 crashed into the side of Stob na Boine Druim-fhinn, killing all twenty passengers and crew. The cause of the crash was not determined, but the adverse weather and heavy icing were deemed to be contributory factors.

The Tinkers' Heart is a Scottish Travellers' commemorative monument near Loch Fyne in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. It is also known as the Gypsy's Heart, Gypsies' Heart or Gypsy's Wedding Heart. A field visit in 2012 shows the Heart as being made up of a heart-shape of 25 visible quartz pebbles, with a 26th pebble in the centre, and measuring 1.75 metres (5.7 ft) by 1.4 metres (4.6 ft). Research done by Historic Scotland in 2015 concluded that from the evidence available, it was the only example in Scotland of a permanent physical Scottish Travellers' memorial.

Ardkinglas House is a Category A listed country house on the Ardkinglas Estate in Argyll, Scotland. The estate lies on the eastern shore of Loch Fyne, and the house is located close to the village of Cairndow. Dating back to the 14th century and originally a Campbell property, the estate now covers more than 12,000 acres (4,900 ha) of rolling hills and landscaped parkland. The centre of the estate was Ardkinglas Castle until this was replaced by a new house in the 18th century. This house was itself replaced by the present Ardkinglas House in the early 20th century, designed by Sir Robert Lorimer for Sir Andrew Noble. It remains the property of the Noble family, and is open to the public on a limited basis. The woodland gardens are open all year round.

Beinn Lochain is one of the Arrochar Alps at 703 metres (2,306 ft), in the Argyll Highlands. The mountain is situated to the west of Lochgoilhead. It continues the rugged and wild feel of the local area as it sits next to its higher neighbour Beinn Bheula which reaches a height of over 2,500 feet.

Beinn Bheula is a mountain located between Loch Goil and Loch Eck. It is part of the Arrochar Alps range. Beinn Bheula appears rugged from Lochgoilhead, with several summits, the highest of which is Caisteal Dubh (Gaelic for black castle). It is commonly climbed from Loch Goil

Loch Fyne Oysters is a seafood and meat company that operates on the banks of Loch Fyne, Scotland. The company created the Loch Fyne Restaurants chain, which was later sold to Greene King. Loch Fyne Oysters still owns the Loch Fyne brand and supplies its products to the restaurant chain.

Cruach nam Miseag is a mountain near Lochgoilhead within the Arrochar Alps, Scotland. It reaches a height of 606 m (1989 ft). It is located at NS182981.

The Shira Hydro-Electric Scheme is a project initiated by the North of Scotland Hydro-Electric Board to use the waters of the River Shira, the River Fyne and other small streams to generate hydroelectricity. It is located between Loch Fyne and Loch Awe in Argyll and Bute, western Scotland. It consists of three power stations and three impounding dams. The remoteness of the area in which the scheme was built required 15 miles (24 km) of access roads to be built before the main works could begin. The three dams were all of different types; a round headed buttress dam; a concrete gravity and earth fill dam; and the first ever use of a prestressed gravity dam. The construction of the earth fill dam was hindered by four months of extremely wet weather. Clachan was the first large underground power station that the Board built, while Sron Mor was the first implementation of a pumped storage scheme, built in anticipation of the arrival of nuclear power generation. The power stations were commissioned in 1953, 1955 and 1957, in advance of the completion of work on the dams.

St Catherines; (Scottish Gaelic: Cill Chaitrìona) is a village, on the Cowal peninsula in Argyll and Bute, Scottish Highlands. It is located on the banks of Loch Fyne opposite Inveraray and is served by the A815 road. The old Ferry Inn, in St. Catherines is on the buildings at risk register of Scotland.The remains of St Catherine's Chapel and Burial Ground. Now only foundations remain of the chapel.

Loch Goil; (Scottish Gaelic: Loch Goil) is a small sea loch forming part of the coast of the Cowal peninsula in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. The sea loch is entirely within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.It is an arm of Loch Long. The village of Lochgoilhead stands at its head. Located in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, Lochgoilhead sits at the head of Loch Goil, a fjord type sea loch. Only an hour from the Erskine Bridge, Glasgow Airport the M8 and Glasgow. The village is accessed from the Rest & Be Thankful pass by way of a 6 miles (10 km) single-track road. The area is surrounded by hills and mountains, with loch views, and a range of accommodation, leisure activities and entertainment. Carrick Castle lies on the west shore 4 miles (6.4 km) south of Lochgoilhead. The landscape at Loch Goil shows its remoteness and Highland grandeur with the Arrochar Alps surrounding with conifers in the Highlands of Scotland. It is used for exercises by Trident submarines from HMNB Clyde at Faslane.In 2014 Loch Goil was declared a Nature Conservation Marine Protected Area (NCMPA).
