Goodmanham (historically Godmundingaham, the home of the people of Godmund mentioned in the year 627 in Bede's Historia ecclesiastica gentis Anglorum ) is a small village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately 2 miles (3 km) to the north-east of Market Weighton. The village is situated on the Yorkshire Wolds Way National Trail, a long-distance footpath. According to the 2011 UK Census, Goodmanham parish had a population of 244, an increase on the 2001 UK Census figure of 218.The village is built in a favourable position on a south-facing slope of the Yorkshire Wolds between two streams. It has a copious supply of water from numerous springs and naturally occurring limestone for building. The land is extraordinarily fertile in this region and people have lived here since prehistoric times.

Enthorpe railway station was a station on the Selby to Driffield Line in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It opened on 1 May 1890 and closed on 20 September 1954. The station is home to several restored goods wagons, which are used as holiday accommodation.

Londesborough Hall is a country house in the village of Londesborough in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, close to the towns of Market Weighton and Pocklington. The original Elizabethan building was demolished in 1819 and replaced by the present Victorian house.

Kiplingcotes railway station was a minor railway station on the York–Beverley line, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It opened on 1 May 1865 and served the nearby village of Kiplingcotes. It was built originally for the personal use of a local landowner and MP, Lord Hotham, as an incentive for him to allow the railway to pass through his estates. The station closed after the last train ran on 27 November 1965 along with the rest of the line. The station building, platforms and signal box survive unaltered, as does the station master's house.

Harthill was a wapentake of the historic East Riding of Yorkshire, England consisting of the central part of the county. Established in medieval times, it ceased to have much significance in the 19th century, when the wapentakes were superseded by other administrative divisions for most local government purposes. It reputedly began in 1519 and takes place on the third Thursday in March, often in exceptionally adverse weather conditions. The 500th race took place on 21 March 2019.One quirk of the ancient rules means that the second place rider often receives more in prize money than the winner. It is run, not over a typical modern racecourse, but partly along the wide verge of a roadside. A clerk is paid 5 shillings (25p) annually for maintaining it.

Kiplingcotes is a hamlet in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately 3.5 miles (6 km) north-east of the market town of Market Weighton, and 3 miles (5 km) to the west of Etton.The hamlet is mentioned in the Domesday Book as Climbicote, having two ploughlands and belonging to the Archbishop of York. The name was most often written as two words (Kipling Cotes, or Kipling Coates), and means The cottages of Cybbel's people, Cybbel being an Old English personal name. It was originally part of the parish of Middleton on the Wolds, which was in the wapentake of Harthill. It is now split between the civil parishes of Dalton Holme and Etton, and is represented at Parliament as part of the Beverley and Holderness Constituency.Kiplingcotes is the location for the annual Kiplingcotes Derby horse race. The 500th race took place on 21 March 2019.The hamlet was served by Kiplingcotes railway station on the York to Beverley Line between 1865 and 1965.In 1823 Kiplingcotes (then alternatively Kipling Coates House), a farmer was listed as the only inhabitant.Kiplingcotes Chalk Pit Nature Reserve, to the west of the hamlet is managed by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.In 1993, the name Kiplingcotes was removed from Ordnance Survey mapping, and Humberside County Council refused to place new signs directing people to the hamlet.
