Harthill Wapentake

North Cliffe is a hamlet and former civil parish, now in the parish of South Cliffe, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated about 3 miles (5 km) north of North Cave, 2 miles (3.2 km) west of Newbald and 3 miles south of Market Weighton. The hamlet bestrides Cliffe Road. On the eastern side lies the houses, and to the west is a small church/chapel. In 1931 the parish had a population of 71.North Cliffe is the home of The White Rose Polo Club which is a member of the Hurlingham Polo Association.The parish church, dedicated to St John, is located in North Cliff and was designated a Grade II listed building in 1996 and is now recorded in the National Heritage List for England, maintained by Historic England.

The parish includes the village of North Cliffe.

It is situated approximately 16 miles (26 km) west of Hull, 21 miles (34 km) south east of York and 4 miles (6 km) south of Market Weighton town centre. The village has road links with the cities of Kingston upon Hull, York and Leeds. The eastern end of the M62 motorway, at Junction 38, is 2 miles (3 km) south-west from Hotham. According to the 2011 UK census, Hotham parish had a population of 233, a decrease on the 2001 UK census figure of 256.The village has about 100 houses, the Hotham Arms public house, and a village hall. Other amenities are in the neighbouring villages of North Cave and South Cave. The village is under the York postcode and the local authority is the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The church dedicated to St Oswald was designated a Grade II* listed building in 1966 and is now recorded in the National Heritage List for England, maintained by Historic England.

It is one of the main towns in the East Yorkshire Wolds and lies midway between Hull and York, about 20 miles (32 km) from either one. According to the 2011 UK census, Market Weighton parish had a population of 6,429, an increase on the 2001 UK census figure of 5,212.

It is situated approximately 8 miles (13 km) west of the market town of Beverley and covering an area of 2,429.702 hectares (6,003.92 acres).The civil parish is formed by the village of North Newbald and the hamlet of South Newbald.According to the 2011 UK census, Newbald parish had a population of 1,115, an increase on the 2001 UK census figure of 989.

The station has transmitted several Restricted Service Licence 28-day broadcasts and on 20 December 2007 was awarded a five-year community radio licence for the area. The station then began permanent broadcasting on 10 January 2009 on the frequency of 101.8 FM.

South Newbald is a hamlet and former civil parish, now in the parish of Newbald, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately 12 miles (19 km) north-west of Hull city centre, 2.5 miles (4 km) north of South Cave and 4 miles (6.4 km) south of Market Weighton. It lies to the east of the A1034 road. The larger village of North Newbald is just to the north. In 1931 the parish had a population of 173.In 1823 South Newbald was in the civil parish of North Newbald, the Wapentake of Harthill and the Liberty of St Peter's. Population at the time was 179, with occupations including seven farmers & yeomen and three corn millers. Resident was a banker, an overseer, and the vicar of North Newbald.

North Cave Wetlands is a nature reserve at North Cave, East Riding of Yorkshire, England, managed by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.The reserve based at Dryham Lane is 40 hectares (99 acres) in size and comprises six lakes, restored from a former sand and gravel quarry. There are five bird hides. Expansion is eventually planned, onto additional pits, which are currently still being quarried.

Rifle Butts Quarry is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The particular interest of this reserve is the geological feature exposed on the quarry face. The site is owned by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. The exposure which is identified as being of national importance in the Geological Conservation Review shows a Cretaceous unconformity, where sediments from the Jurassic and Lower Cretaceous periods were eroded away. It shows a section of Red Chalk and White Chalk overlying Lias. A shelter has been constructed to protect the quarry face from erosion. The reserve is situated on the western edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, one mile south-east of Goodmanham and two miles from Market Weighton. The site, which was designated a SSSI in 1952, has over 150 plants recorded. It still displays some characteristic chalk species, including cowslip, marjoram, field scabious and wild basil. Breeding birds include willow warbler and yellowhammer.
