Sheepscot River

Hendricks Head Light is a lighthouse in Southport, Maine marking the west side of the mouth of the Sheepscot River. The light station was established in 1829, and its present structures date to 1875. It was deactivated in 1933, but relit in 1951. The two-story wood keeper's house is now a private summer residence. The light is on continuously, showing white to the west and red to the east. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Hendricks Head Light Station on November 20, 1987.

The Grey Havens Inn is a historic hotel at 96 Seguinland Road in Georgetown, Maine. The inn was built in 1904, and is one of the finest surviving coastal hotels of the period in the state. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. Facilities include thirteen guest rooms, an onsite restaurant, docking facilities, and expansive views of Harmon's Harbor.

Reid State Park is a public recreation area overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on Georgetown Island in Sagadahoc County, Maine, United States. The 770-acre (310 ha) park is noted for its sandy beaches and sand dunes—both rare in the state of Maine—plus its rocky tidepools, salt marshes, and tidal lagoon. The park is managed by the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry.

Georgetown is a town in Sagadahoc County, Maine, United States. The population was 1,058 at the 2020 census. Home to Reid State Park, the town is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine Metropolitan Statistical Area. Located on an island accessible by car from the mainland, Georgetown includes the villages of Five Islands, Georgetown, Bay Point, Marrtown, West Georgetown and Robinhood. It is a popular tourist destination.

The Little River is a 4.0-mile-long (6.4 km) river in the town of Georgetown, Maine. It flows directly into the Atlantic Ocean, between the mouth of the Sheepscot River to the east and the Kennebec River to the west. The lower portion of its course forms the western boundary of Reid State Park.

Southport is a town and archipelago in Lincoln County, Maine, United States. The population was 622 at the 2020 census. It includes the neighborhoods of Capitol Island, Cozy Harbor, East Side, Newagen, Pine Cliff, and West Southport, and the village of Squirrel Island. The majority of the town's residents live on its main island, Southport Island.

The Riggs-Zorach House is a historic house in the Robinhood area of Georgetown, Maine. Built in the early 19th century for a local state legislator, it is an excellent local example of Federal/Greek Revival period architecture. It is most prominent as the home of artists Marguerite Thompson Zorach and William Zorach in the mid-20th century. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Heal Family House, also known as the Washington Heal House, is a historic house on Maine State Route 127 in Georgetown, Maine. Built about 1798, it is one of a small number of surviving Federal period houses in the rural community. It was owned for more than 100 years by members of the Heal family. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Isle of Springs is an island community in the town of Boothbay Harbor, Lincoln County, Maine, United States. The community was established in 1887 as a summer resort.

The Benjamin Riggs House is a historic house on Robinhood Road in Georgetown, Maine. Built about 1790, it is the oldest house in Georgetown, and is a well-preserved example of transitional Georgian-Federal architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Burnt Island Light, built in 1821, is the second oldest surviving lighthouse in Maine. It hosts a living history museum run by the state Department of Marine Resources. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places as Burnt Island Light Station on November 23, 1977.

The Sasanoa River is an 8.6-mile-long (13.8 km) tidal channel in the Midcoast region of Maine, connecting the Kennebec River with the Sheepscot River. The Sasanoa River has two distinct sections. The western section begins at the Kennebec River opposite the city of Bath and runs east, forming the boundary between the towns of Arrowsic and Woolwich, and passing through its narrowest channel at Upper Hell Gate. The western section ends at Hockomock Bay, a water body also crossed by the Back River and containing numerous tidal inlets. The eastern section of the Sasanoa River begins 1 mile (1.6 km) northeast of the river's western section and flows southeast through Lower Hell Gate and Goose Rock Passage to the Sheepscot River. This section of the river forms the boundary between Lincoln and Sagadahoc counties, as well as between the towns of Westport and Georgetown.
