Little River (Georgetown, Maine)

Reid State Park is a public recreation area overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on Georgetown Island in Sagadahoc County, Maine, United States. The 770-acre (310 ha) park is noted for its sandy beaches and sand dunes—both rare in the state of Maine—plus its rocky tidepools, salt marshes, and tidal lagoon. The park is managed by the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry.

The Stone Schoolhouse is a historic school building on Bay Point Road in Georgetown, Maine. Built sometime before 1821, it is one of the state's small number of surviving stone district school buildings. It is now a museum property maintained by the local historical society. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

Georgetown is a town in Sagadahoc County, Maine, United States. The population was 1,058 at the 2020 census. Home to Reid State Park, the town is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine Metropolitan Statistical Area. Located on an island accessible by car from the mainland, Georgetown includes the villages of Five Islands, Georgetown, Bay Point, Marrtown, West Georgetown and Robinhood. It is a popular tourist destination.

The Grey Havens Inn is a historic hotel at 96 Seguinland Road in Georgetown, Maine. The inn was built in 1904, and is one of the finest surviving coastal hotels of the period in the state. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. Facilities include thirteen guest rooms, an onsite restaurant, docking facilities, and expansive views of Harmon's Harbor.

Perkins Island Light is a lighthouse on the Kennebec River in Maine. It was established in 1898, as part of a major upgrade of the river's lights — the Doubling Point Light and the separate Range Lights on the point, Perkins Island Light, and Squirrel Point Light were all built at the same time. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Perkins Island Light Station in 1988.

The Sheepscot River is a 66-mile-long (106 km) river in the U.S. state of Maine. Its lower portion is a complex island estuary with connections to the Kennebec River downstream of Merrymeeting Bay.

The Heal Family House, also known as the Washington Heal House, is a historic house on Maine State Route 127 in Georgetown, Maine. Built about 1798, it is one of a small number of surviving Federal period houses in the rural community. It was owned for more than 100 years by members of the Heal family. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Hendricks Head Light is a lighthouse in Southport, Maine marking the west side of the mouth of the Sheepscot River. The light station was established in 1829, and its present structures date to 1875. It was deactivated in 1933, but relit in 1951. The two-story wood keeper's house is now a private summer residence. The light is on continuously, showing white to the west and red to the east. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Hendricks Head Light Station on November 20, 1987.

Squirrel Point Light is a lighthouse marking the southwestern point of Arrowsic Island on the Kennebec River. It was established in 1898, as part of a major upgrade of the river's lights — the Doubling Point Light and the separate Range Lights on the point, Perkins Island Light, and Squirrel Point Light were all built at the same time. The light station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Squirrel Point Light Station on January 21, 1988.

The Riggs-Zorach House is a historic house in the Robinhood area of Georgetown, Maine. Built in the early 19th century for a local state legislator, it is an excellent local example of Federal/Greek Revival period architecture. It is most prominent as the home of artists Marguerite Thompson Zorach and William Zorach in the mid-20th century. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Robinhood Free Meetinghouse is a historic church building at 210 Robinhood Road in Georgetown, Maine. Built in 1856, it is a modest example of vernacular Greek Revival architecture, distinctive as one of Maine's few rural 19th-century churches to have its sanctuary space on the second floor. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016; it has recently been converted for use as a restaurant.

The Benjamin Riggs House is a historic house on Robinhood Road in Georgetown, Maine. Built about 1790, it is the oldest house in Georgetown, and is a well-preserved example of transitional Georgian-Federal architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
