Batson River

WHTP-FM (104.7 FM) is an American radio station licensed to serve the community of Kennebunkport, Maine, serving York County and southern Cumberland County, Maine. Its signal is broadcast from the same location. Established in 1994, WHTP-FM is owned by Mainestream Media. The station broadcasts a rhythmic top 40 format.WHTP-FM is simulcast in the Lewiston-Auburn and Augusta metro areas on WHTP (1280 AM and 100.3 FM), as well as in Bangor and surrounding areas on WHZP (1400 AM and 102.9 FM).

Clock Farm is a historic farmstead at the corner of Maine State Route 9 and Goose Rocks Road in Kennebunkport, Maine. Although it has a history dating to the 1770s, it is most notable (and a local landmark) for its early 20th-century purpose-built clock tower, which adorns the barn at one end of the connected complex. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Seashore Trolley Museum, located in Kennebunkport, Maine, United States, is the world's first and largest museum of mass transit vehicles. While the main focus of the collection is trolley cars (trams), it also includes rapid transit trains, Interurban cars, trolley buses, and motor buses. The Seashore Trolley Museum is owned and operated by the New England Electric Railway Historical Society (NEERHS). Of the museum's collection of more than 350 vehicles, ten trolley and railroad cars that historically operated in Maine were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 as Maine Trolley Cars.

The Maine Trolley Cars are a group of 10 rail vehicles, mostly trolley cars, located in Kennebunkport, Maine. The cars were built in various years between 1893 and 1926, and the group was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 14, 1980. The trolley cars are a small part of the large collection of vehicles at the Seashore Trolley Museum. While the museum's collection of more than 250 vehicles includes ones from several different U.S. states and a few foreign countries, the 10 vehicles in the National Register listing were all operated in the state of Maine at one time.

Goose Rocks Beach (formerly known as "Beachwood"), is a public beach located in the town of Kennebunkport, Maine United States, bordered by Cape Porpoise, Maine (another neighborhood of Kennebunkport) to the southwest, and Granite Point (a coastal neighborhood of Biddeford, Maine ) to the northeast. The village is inhabited mainly by summer residents from surrounding states and Canadian provinces. The Little River, which forms a border between Kennebunkport and Biddeford, empties into Goosefare Bay, the body of water that faces Goose Rocks Beach. Goose Rocks is unofficially bounded by the Batson River to the south-west, Route 9 to the northwest, and the Little River to the northeast. In 2009 Goose Rocks Beach was the subject of a lawsuit which multiple beach-front property owners filed against the town of Kennebunkport, claiming that they owned the beach in front of their homes up to the high tide water line. Goose Rocks Beach was the site of the O'Hara Watercolor School run by American watercolor painter Eliot O'Hara from 1930 to 1947. The school and many other buildings burned down in the Great Fires of 1947.

The Little River is a 7.6-mile-long (12.2 km) tributary of Goosefare Bay in the U.S. state of Maine. It rises in Biddeford and flows southeast, becoming the boundary between Biddeford and Kennebunkport for the final 2.8 miles (4.5 km) of its course. It empties into Goosefare Bay on the Atlantic Ocean at the east end of Kennebunkport's Goose Rocks Beach. During part of the 19th century, a seasonal water-powered sawmill operated near what is now known as Timber Point.

Timber Point is a historic summer estate in Biddeford, Maine. Located at the city's southernmost tip, and now part of the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge, the property was developed in the 1930s by architect Charles Ewing for his family. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

Granite Point, Maine is a coastal residential neighborhood of Biddeford, Maine located on the border of the town of Kennebunkport (bounded by the Little River). It is approximately 85 miles north of Boston, Massachusetts. Granite Point is a common site for the release of seals who have been rescued from New England beaches and rehabilitated at the University of New England in Biddeford, and the New England Aquarium in Boston, Massachusetts.

Biddeford Municipal Airport (FAA LID: B19) is a public use airport in York County, Maine, United States. It is owned by the City of Biddeford and is located two nautical miles (3.70 km) south of the central business district.

Regional School Unit 71 (RSU 71), formerly Maine School Administrative District 71 (MSAD 71 or SAD 71) is a school district containing the towns of Kennebunk, Maine and Kennebunkport, Maine. It currently (as of July 2005) provides 5 schools for the children within its boundaries: Kennebunk Elementary School — a new school building, replacing the older Cousins School and Park Street School. It provides classes for kindergarten through grade 3 for children from Kennebunk. Sea Road School — located in the lower village of Kennebunk, it provides classes for grade 4 and grade 5 for children from Kennebunk. Consolidated School — provides classes for kindergarten through grade 5 for children from Kennebunkport. Middle School of the Kennebunks — provides classes for grade 6 through grade 8 for all children in the district. Kennebunk High School — provides classes for grade 9 through grade 12 for all children in the district. It is also attended by many students from nearby Arundel, which has no high school.

Once called the "most photographed house in the state" of Maine, the Wedding Cake House, known formally as the George W. Bourne House, is a historic house located at 104 Summer Street in Kennebunk, Maine. The home was built in 1825 by shipbuilder George W. Bourne (1801–1856), who later built a frame barn which he connected to the main house with a carriage house. In 1852, the barn caught fire and the carriage house was demolished to keep the fire from spreading to the house. Bourne, who during a European tour had been impressed by the Gothic beauty of the cathedral at Milan, rebuilt the carriage house and barn in what later came to be known as Carpenter Gothic style. Using hand tools, he crafted five buttresses with pinnacles on top of each. Then in order to tie the new structures in with the existing house, he added six buttresses with pinnacles to the house and then joined them together with intricate woodwork. His only help in doing this was Thomas Durrell, an apprentice ship's carpenter. Bourne spent the rest of his life adding to these embellishments. It has been said of Bourne: "The highly skilled carpenter knew no limits to his skill."

Fortunes Rocks is seaside community in Biddeford, York County, Maine, located approximately 85 miles (140 km) north of Boston, Massachusetts. The 1999 novel Fortune's Rocks by Anita Shreve is loosely based on this Maine seaside neighborhood.
