Taloja is a census town in Raigad district of Navi Mumbai city in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is an extension of the Kharghar node and governed by Panvel Municipal Corporation. Taloja has Navi Mumbai Metro Phase I starting origin point at Pendhar. Taloja is divided into two phases as Phase I and Phase II by CIDCO.

Taloja Central Jail is a prison in Taloja near Taloja Panchnand railway station on the outskirts of Kharghar, a suburb of the city of Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra in India. It was opened in 2008 and has capacity for 3000 inmates.The Indian Jesuit Roman Catholic priest and tribal rights activist Stan Swamy was held there preceding his death in 2021.

The Central Park of Kharghar is an urban park in Navi Mumbai, India that covers an area of around 119 hectares (290 acres) spread across the city's sectors 23,24 and 25.

Pandavkada Falls is a waterfall located Kharghar, a suburb of Navi Mumbai. The waterfall, about 107 metres high is a type of 'plunge' waterfall in nature pouring in massive amounts of water on the rocky surface underneath.

Kendriya Vihar, is a housing complex in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai developed by CGEWHO (Central Government Employees Welfare Housing Organisation), an autonomous society of Central Government, which takes care of housing of Central Government employees across India. It is the biggest project of CGEWHO and is one of the best colonies in Navi Mumbai. Mostly central government present and retired employees reside there. It has open space and recreational facilities such as gardens, children play area, etc. CGEWHO build the Kendriya Vihar complex and sold the flats to central government employees. It covers 19.03 acres of land which is centrally located in Sector 11. It is 15 minutes walking distance from Kharghar Railway Station and one of the first complexes in Kharghar. It has a federation of six registered societies. There are 1230 flats in Kendriya Vihar: 1, 2, and 3 bhk flats.

Greenfingers Global School, often abbreviated as GFGS is a CBSE affiliated School located in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. Green Fingers Global School was established in 2006. The school started its first session in the year 2006–2007. GFGS was founded by Late Shri Shankarrao Mohite Patil.

The 2010 Indian Premier League Final was a day/night Twenty20 cricket match played between the Chennai Super Kings and the Mumbai Indians on 25 April 2010 at the DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai to determine the winner of the 2010 Indian Premier League, an annual professional Twenty20 cricket league in India. It ended as the Super Kings defeated the Indians by 22 runs. The Indians, captained by Sachin Tendulkar, topped the group stage table with 10 wins in 14 matches, whereas the Super Kings, led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, stood at the third position with seven wins in 14. They had defeated the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Deccan Chargers respectively in the semi-finals.Mumbai Indians qualified for the first time in their Indian Premier League history while it was the second time for Chennai Super Kings in three years. Super Kings qualified for the final at 2008 Indian Premier League where they lost to Rajasthan Royals by three wickets in a last ball thriller.

The 2008 Indian Premier League Final was a day/night Twenty20 cricket match played between the Rajasthan Royals and the Chennai Super Kings on 1 June 2008 at the DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai to determine the winner of the 2008 Indian Premier League, a professional Twenty20 cricket league in India. It ended as the Royals defeated the Super Kings by three wickets. The Royals, captained by Shane Warne, topped the group stage table, whereas the Super Kings, led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, stood at the third position. They had defeated the Delhi Daredevils and the Kings XI Punjab respectively in the semi-finals. Winning the toss, Royals' captain Shane Warne opted to field first. The Super Kings scored 163 runs in 20 overs with a loss of 5 wickets. Batting at number three, Suresh Raina top scored for the Super Kings with 43 runs. Royals' bowler Yusuf Pathan took three wickets for 22 runs. The Royals failed to build a good opening partnership. However, due to contributions from the middle order, it reached the winning total in the last ball and earned the 2008 Indian Premier League title. Pathan, who was the best performer for the Royals with both bat and ball, was named the man of the match.

The DY Patil Stadium, (also known as DY Patil Sports Stadium), is a multi-purpose sports stadium in the DY Patil Sports Academy (DYPSA) at Nerul in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It is a privately owned arena, being the home of the DYPSA. Primarily a cricket stadium, it is, however, sometimes used for football, music concerts and special events. The arena was officially inaugurated on 4 March 2008 and was briefly the home ground for IPL team Mumbai Indians. It hosted three IPL matches for the Mumbai Indians and has also hosted the 2008 Indian Premier League Final and 2010 Indian Premier League final. It hosted many games of 2022 IPL.The stadium has also hosted football matches during the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup, 2022 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup and 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup. In 2014, it was announced that the stadium will be the home ground of the Indian Super League club Mumbai City FC. It has also hosted the Final of Hero ISL 2014 between Atlético de Kolkata and Kerala Blasters FC. The capacity of 55,000 makes it the ninth-largest cricket stadium in India. The stadium makes use of bucket seats and cantilever roofs that eliminate the need for columns. This provides the spectators with an unobstructed view of the match from any place within the stands. On the other hand, the stadium has a 120-person capacity air-conditioned media center. The upper level of the viewing galleries has 60 private corporate boxes.This stadium also holds an inter-school cricket match for DY Patil International school every year. The arena is set to host games of the upcoming Women's Premier League in March.

Mahatma Gandhi Mission's College of Engineering and Technology (MGMCET) is one of the chain of educational institutions set up by the Mahatma Gandhi Mission, a Charitable Trust Act 1950 and Societies Regulation Act 1860. It was founded in 1982 and is situated in Kamothe, Navi Mumbai, India. The college is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology (RAIT) is a private engineering college located in Nerul, Navi Mumbai, India. It was established in the year 1983. The institute is approved by the Government of Maharashtra and is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Since 2020-21, the institute has been affiliated to Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Navi Mumbai. The Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Electronics and Telecommunications departments have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The Institute has been given A grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) during their visit to the college in the second half of 2016.
