Claire Hanley Arboretum is an arboretum located on the grounds at the Oregon State University Extension and Research campus, 569 Hanley Road, Medford, Oregon. The arboretum was first planted in the 1960s by the Hanley sisters, with additional plantings since 1995. Mature trees include the dogwood Cornus mas, Davidia involucrata, and Oxydendrum arboreum. The arboretum land was once part of the Michael Hanley Farmstead. Michael Hanley purchased the original donation land claim from David Clinton and Archibald Welton.Upon his death, the farm was divided with Alice Hanley receiving the portion with the home and buildings. On her death the property was left to her niece Claire Hanley, and her sisters Martha and Mary Hanley; daughters of Alice's older brother John A Hanley.

The Cornelius C. Beekman House is a historic structure in Jacksonville, Oregon, United States. The house was constructed between 1870 and 1876, and the Oregon Historic Preservation Office, part of the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, places the year closer to 1873. Part of "millionaires' row" in the Jacksonville Historic District, the house was built by banker Cornelius C. Beekman as a residence for his wife and children, and the Beekman family were the only recorded occupants.The house is a museum owned by the City of Jacksonville, Oregon, and offers meeting and event facilities.

The Beekman Native Plant Arboretum is a three-acre (12,000 m²) arboretum in Jackson County, Oregon, United States, that features trees, shrubs and herbs from eight zones of the Siskiyou and Cascade mountains in Southern Oregon. It is located behind the historic Beekman House at 352 East California Street in Jacksonville and is named for Jacksonville pioneer Cornelius C. Beekman.The Arboretum contains more than 175 species from the high deserts of Eastern Oregon, high-altitude subalpine slopes around Crater Lake, and serpentine soils of the Siskiyou Mountains. It features species from the chaparral, low-elevation forest and riparian zones, including grassland plants, lodgepole pine and sagebrush, buckwheat, penstemon and balsam root, and a bog with skunk cabbage and wild ginger. Most plants are labeled with name and habitat. Two footbridges cross a seasonal stream. The arboretum was designed by Alan Horobin, in collaboration with the Jacksonville Woodlands Association, organized in 1989 to preserve the woodlands behind the Beekman House.In March, 2000, John and Joyce Jackson, of Kingwood, Texas, concluded their nationwide project to plant trees in each state at a location containing the name of Jackson by planting five trees at the arboretum. The occasion of planting in their 50th state was marked with a ceremony hosted by the chamber of commerce and attended by many in the community.

The Jackson County Courthouse is a former county courthouse in Jacksonville, Oregon, United States, built in 1883. The courthouse is a contributing property of the Jacksonville Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). It was formerly the Jacksonville Museum owned by Jackson County and operated by the Southern Oregon Historical Society (SOHS), which also managed several other historic properties in Jacksonville. The museum in the courthouse closed in 2006 because of lack of funding. Ownership of the historic courthouse was transferred to the City of Jacksonville in 2012. The SOHS still operates Hanley Farm in Central Point and a research library in Medford. The current Jackson County Courthouse, also listed on the NRHP, is in Medford, where the county seat was moved in 1926.

The city was a major mining, civic, and commercial center from 1852 to 1884, and declined thereafter, leaving a little-altered assemblage of architecture from that period that is unparalleled in the Pacific Northwest. The district was designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark in 1966.

The South Oakdale Historic District comprises a primarily residential area along South Oakdale Avenue in Medford, Oregon, United States. Development of this well-preserved residential neighborhood began in 1890, soon after Medford's founding in 1883, and continued until around 1940. It became one of the city's grand neighborhoods, with many residents prominent in land development, business, agriculture, law, medicine, education, politics, and the arts. The district exhibits a wide range of architectural styles from its period of development, notably including several works by Frank Chamberlain Clark, southern Oregon's preeminent architect of the early 20th century.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Medford Hotel was an historic building in Medford, Oregon, United States. The hotel was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988 but was destroyed by a fire in the same year during a renovation.

The Medford Carnegie Library is a two-story library building located in Medford, Oregon, United States. The building was erected in 1911 (completed in 1912) as a gift from Andrew Carnegie. The Carnegie Library building was vacated in 2004 when all services were moved to a new library building in downtown Medford.Throughout 2009, the building was occupied by various city offices while renovations were being completed on the existing Medford city hall building. The city spent about $210,000 to have Grants Pass-based Ausland Builders Inc. refurbish about an eighth of the 16,000-square-foot structure to make way for the temporary office space in the old children's book section. The work involved seismic upgrades, insulation, new windows and ceilings.After City Hall renovations were complete city offices relocated back and further restoration efforts continued on the Carnegie Building. To date, nearly $1 million in renovations have been made to the building. The city awarded an $800,000 construction bid to S&B James Construction, based in White City, to replace the library's windows and overhaul its heating and air cooling system. The construction money came from various Oregon Department of Energy grants and federal stimulus dollars.

The James A. Redden Federal Courthouse, formerly the United States Post Office and Courthouse, is a federal courthouse located in Medford, Jackson County, Oregon, United States. Completed in 1916 under the supervision of architect Oscar Wenderoth, it houses the United States District Court for the District of Oregon. A substantial extension was completed in 1940, under the supervision of architect, Louis A. Simon. In September 1996, the United States Senate enacted a bill introduced by Oregon Senator Mark Hatfield to rename the building for long-serving District Court judge James A. Redden.
