Blisworth Tunnel is a canal tunnel on the Grand Union Canal in Northamptonshire, England, between the villages of Stoke Bruerne at the southern end and Blisworth at the northern end.

Stoke Bruerne is a small village and civil parish in West Northamptonshire, England about 10 miles (16 km) north of Milton Keynes and 7 miles (11 km) south of Northampton. The civil parish population at the 2011 Census was 373.

The Canal Museum, formerly known as the "National Waterways Museum Stoke Bruerne" and "The Canal Museum at Stoke Bruerne", is a canal museum located next to the Grand Union Canal just south of the Blisworth Tunnel, near the village of Stoke Bruerne in Northamptonshire. It is about 10 miles (16 km) north of Milton Keynes and 7 miles (11 km) south of Northampton near junction 15 of the M1 motorway.

Stoke Bruerne Brick Pits is a six hectare nature reserve in Stoke Bruerne in Northamptonshire. It is managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.This former brickworks was opened at the end of the eighteenth century for the construction of the Grand Junction Canal, and is on its bank. There are diverse habitats with grassland, ponds, a reed bed and a redundant arm of the canal. Invertebrates include white-legged damselflies and there are a variety of small mammals which provide food for barn owls.There is access from the canal towpath.

Shutlanger is a small village and civil parish in south Northamptonshire, England. The village is 5 miles (8 km) east of Towcester and 7 miles (11 km) south of Northampton.The village's name means 'Shuttle sloping-wood', maybe alluding to where transports, bolts or bars were made or acquired.In 1881 Shutlanger parish's total population was 403. In 1901 it was 339 and by 1971 it had dropped to 233. At the time of the 2001 census, it was 270 people, increasing to 290 at the 2011 census.There was a great medieval house here called the Monastery, but it was just a house and not a monastery in the normal sense. The village is close to Stoke Park Pavilions and originally part of the Stoke Park estate with the first Palladian-style English country house. The building is a Grade I listed Building. Famous residents includes ancestors of the Richardson gang. Shutlanger has its own Parish Council and belongs to the church grouping with Stoke Bruerne and Grafton Regis. The village has a pub (named The Plough) and a village hall. The nearest primary school and church are at Stoke Bruerne one mile east of Shutlanger.

Roade Cutting is a 15.2-hectare (38-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest along the West Coast Main Line north from Roade in Northamptonshire. It is a Geological Conservation Review site.The cutting exposes rocks dating to the Middle Jurassic Bathonian stage, between 168.3 and 167.1 million years ago. It is described by Natural England as important for reconstructing the environment of deposition during the period, and correlating the White Limestone Formation in Oxfordshire and the East Midlands.The site can be viewed from road and foot bridges.

Blisworth is a village and civil parish in the West Northamptonshire, England. The West Coast Main Line, from London Euston to Manchester and Scotland, runs alongside the village partly hidden and partly on an embankment. The Grand Union Canal passes through the village and the north portal of the Blisworth tunnel is near Stoke Road.The village's name means 'Blith's enclosure'.

Roade village has a long medieval history dating as far back as 1066 The village's name means 'clearing'.

Roade was a railway station serving the Northamptonshire village of the same name on the West Coast Main Line. Roade Station opened in 1838 as the principal station for Northampton (which the main line had bypassed), but its importance diminished upon the opening of the Northampton and Peterborough Railway in 1845. The construction of the Northampton Loop Line in 1875 made Roade a junction station, and it survived until 1964.

The River Tove is a river in England, a tributary of the River Great Ouse. Rising in Northamptonshire about a mile north of Greatworth, it flows for about 15 miles (24 km) north and east of the town of Towcester (meaning 'camp on the Tove') near Bury Mount before meeting the Ouse south-east of Cosgrove just north of Milton Keynes. Its final 5 miles (8 km) form part of the border between Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire, running alongside the Grand Union Canal. The river ultimately flows into the North Sea.

Alderton is a small English village and civil parish about 9 miles (14 km) south of Northampton, and 10 miles (16 km) north of Milton Keynes, along a road between the A5 and A508 main roads in the southwest and northeast respectively. The nearest large town is Towcester, about 3 miles (5 km) north. The village is famous for the remains of an English Heritage Scheduled Ancient Monument, a Norman Castle, known locally as "The Mount", which was the subject of an investigation by the Channel 4 programme Time Team.
