Northridge Mall is a shopping mall in Salinas, California, the largest in Monterey County. Located off Highway 101 near Boronda Road and North Main Street in the northern part of the city, the single-story structure encompasses 976,913 sq ft (90,758 m2) of retail space. Northridge Mall features more than 110 shops, two restaurants, a fast-food court with eight outlets (2 vacant), a Round One Entertainment, and three department stores including Hobby Lobby, JCPenney, and Macy's with one vacant anchor last occupied by Sears. It receives approximately 7.2 million visitors annually with approximately 5,800 spaces in the open-air parking lot. It's the only indoor shopping mall between San Jose and Santa Maria.

North Salinas High School is a public high school established in Salinas, California. It is one of five primary high schools of the Salinas Union High School District. The school was founded in 1959 as the second high school in the system to relieve overcrowding at the original high school in Salinas, Salinas High School. Students at North Salinas usually come from Harden Middle School, Washington Middle School, and Gavilan View Middle School.

Rancho Los Gatos or Santa Rita was a 4,424-acre (17.90 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Monterey County, California given in 1837 by Governor Juan B. Alvarado to José Trinidad Espinoza. The grant was northwest of present-day Salinas, bounded on the north by Espinosa Lake and Rancho Bolsa de las Escorpinas of his brother Salvador Espinoza, and encompassed present-day Santa Rita.

Salinas Municipal Stadium was a baseball park located in Salinas, California, United States. Opened in 1949, the stadium was the home field for the Salinas Colts, Salinas Packers, Salinas Indians, Salinas Spurs and Salinas Peppers. When it first opened, the stadium's seating capacity was 2,000. By 1984, it was 3,600.The Stadium was demolished and replaced with Rabobank Stadium, a football stadium that will serve as home to the football teams of Hartnell College, North Salinas High School, and Palma High School.The stadium sat across the street from Madonna Del Sasso School.

The Salinas Sports Complex is a sporting complex located in Salinas, California on the Central Coast. The main feature of the complex is a 17,000-seat stadium for California Rodeo Salinas. Soccer, football, and rugby was also played at the main stadium before the opening of Rabobank Stadium next door. The grounds have been home to the California Rodeo Salinas since 1911. The original wood stadium structure was built in 1924 and replaced in 1996 with a stadium design by Kasavan Architects. The stadium's field is wide enough to host soccer matches along with football games, and indeed it hosted the California Jaguars of the United Soccer Leagues (then USISL) from 1995 to 1999. For several years, the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) has hosted events from its "minor league" system, such as the Touring Pro Division (formerly the Challenger Tour) and BlueDEF Tour, at the complex. The complex is also home to baseball and softball fields. The stadium not only hosts rodeo and sports events; it can be converted into a race track for auto racing, monster truck shows, and motorcycle racing. Concerts have been held at the venue, such as the Eagles in 2005, RBD in 2006, the Scorpions in 2006, Mary J. Blige in 2007, Luis Miguel in 2007, Creedence Clearwater Revisited in 2009, Alan Jackson in 2012, Aerosmith in 2015, Kid Rock in 2017, & Blake Shelton in 2018.

Salinas is a major stop on the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) circuit. The Salinas rodeo (pronounced the Spanish way: "roDAYo") began in 1911 as a Wild West Show on the site of the old race track ground, now the Salinas Sports Complex. The rodeo was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame in 2008.

Boronda is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Monterey County, California, United States. The population was 1,760 at the 2020 census. Boronda is located directly west of Salinas and is named after José Eusebio Boronda, a Californio ranchero, and located on the lands of his Rancho Rincón del Sanjón.

The Jose Eusebio Boronda Adobe is a Monterey Colonial style building from 1846, located in Salinas, Monterey County, California. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, and is a California Historical Landmark #870.

Natividad Hospital commonly referred to as just Natividad is a 172-bed acute-care teaching hospital located in Salinas, California. The hospital is owned and operated by Monterey County and the hospital's emergency department receives approximately 52,000 visits per year.As a safety-net hospital providing healthcare to the residents of Monterey County for over 134 years, Natividad provides healthcare access to all patients regardless of their ability to pay. The hospital operates with a medical staff of over 300 physicians and has several specialty clinics as well as outpatient primary care clinics operated by the Monterey County Health Department. Natividad Hospital is a Level II Trauma Center providing the immediate availability of specialized personnel, equipment, and services to treat the most severe and critical injuries. In 2015, Natividad was formally designated as a level II trauma center.Natividad is the only teaching hospital on the Central Coast through its affiliation with the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Recognized nationally and internationally as a model program, Natividad's Family Medicine Residency Program is postgraduate training for physicians specializing in family medicine. About 1/3 of the graduates remain on the central coast to establish a practice. Natividad is governed by a Board of Trustees, under the guidance of the Monterey County Board of Supervisors. Natividad is fully accredited by the American College of Surgeons as a comprehensive bariatric surgery center. Natividad Medical Center is accredited by the Joint Commission.

Rancho Rincón del Sanjón was a 2,230-acre (9.0 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Monterey County, California given in 1840 by Governor Juan B. Alvarado to José Eusebio Boronda. The name means "corner of Sanjo del Alisal". The grant was located on the north side of the Sanjo del Alisal, (the great slough, or deep ditch, of the alisal), between Cooper's Rancho Bolsa del Potrero y Moro Cojo on the west, Castro's Rancho Sausal on the east, and bordering Espinosa's Rancho Bolsa de las Escorpinas on the north. The grant was on the northwest of present-day Salinas, where Boronda, California is located.

Everett Alvarez High School is a public high school established in Salinas, California. The school is named in honor of Everett Alvarez, Jr., a much-decorated former U.S. Navy Commander and the 2nd longest held prisoner of war.

Rancho Sausal was a 10,242-acre (41.45 km2) Mexican land grant in the Salinas Valley, in present-day Monterey County, California, given in 1834 by Governor José Figueroa to José Tibúrcio Castro. An additional grant was made by Governor Pío Pico in 1845. The name is Spanish for "willow grove". The grant encompassed present-day Salinas.
