Clyde School

Braemar College is an ecumenical co-curricular private school located on Mount Macedon in Woodend, Victoria, Australia. Initially the school's board consisted of representatives from the three local municipalities (Shire of Gisborne, Shire of Romsey and Shire of Newham and Woodend – now replaced by the newer Shire of Macedon Ranges) and the three local Christian denomination churches (Anglican, Catholic and Uniting). The school's motto is Unum Corpus Multi Sumus (One body, many parts).

Mount Macedon ( MASS-ə-dən; Aboriginal Woiwurrung language: Geboor or Geburrh) is a dormant volcano that is part of the Macedon Ranges of the Great Dividing Range, located in the Central Highlands region of Victoria, Australia. The mountain has an elevation of 1,001 metres (3,284 ft) with a prominence of 643 metres (2,110 ft) and is located approximately 65 kilometres (40 mi) northwest of Melbourne.

The Mount Macedon Memorial Cross is a heritage-listed war memorial at 405 Cameron Drive, Mount Macedon, Macedon Ranges Shire, Victoria, Australia. It is also known as the Cameron Memorial Cross. It was listed on the Victorian Heritage Register on 1 September 1994.

Hanging Rock (also known as Dryden's Mount or Dryden's Rock, and to some Aboriginal Australians as Ngannelong) is a distinctive geological formation in central Victoria, Australia. A former volcano, it lies 718 m above sea level (105 m above plain level) on the plain between the two small townships of Newham and Hesket, approximately 70 km north-west of Melbourne and a few kilometres north of Mount Macedon. In the middle of the 19th century, the original occupants of the place—tribes of the Dja Dja Wurrung, Woi Wurrung and Taungurung—were forced from it. They had been its occupants for thousands of years and, colonisation notwithstanding, continue to maintain cultural and spiritual connections to it.In the late 20th century, the area became widely known as the setting of Joan Lindsay's novel Picnic at Hanging Rock.

The Shire of Newham and Woodend was a local government area about 70 kilometres (43 mi) northwest of Melbourne, the state capital of Victoria, Australia. The shire covered an area of 246.05 square kilometres (95.0 sq mi), and existed from 1861 until 1995.

The Shire of Macedon Ranges is a region in Central Victoria, Australia, best known for its native forests, geographical attraction Hanging Rock, and artisan food and wine industries. The region covers an area of 1,748 square kilometres (675 sq mi). It is located in between the cities of Bendigo and Melbourne. In August 2021 the shire had a population of 51,458. It includes the towns of Gisborne, Gisborne South, Kyneton, Lancefield, Macedon, Malmsbury, Mount Macedon, New Gisborne, Riddells Creek, Romsey and Woodend. The Shire is named after the region's major geographical feature, the Macedon Ranges. Hesket is a locality in the Macedon Ranges Shire, in Victoria, Australia on the northern side of the Mount Macedon Range. The settlement was originally known as Ferny Creek.Hesket Post Office opened on 1 November 1866 and closed in 1971.Today the locality consists of the Hesket Primary School (State School 1004) and the Hesket-Kerrie CFA fire station.

Holgate Brewhouse is a small, independent, family-owned brewery in Woodend, Victoria, Australia. The brewery operations began in 1999 and were moved to the Keatings Hotel in 2005, where the Brewhouse also operates a restaurant and hotel. Holgate beers are available in bottles and on tap throughout the Melbourne area. Their beers have consistently won accolades at the Australian International Beer Awards, including gold medals for the Mt Macedon Ale and Pilsner, as well as the 2008 Premier's Trophy for Best Victorian Beer for the Big Reg Lager.

Woodend railway station is located on the Deniliquin line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the town of Woodend, and opened on 8 July 1861.At the time of opening it was the terminus of the railway line after being extended from Sunbury. It remained the terminus until it was extended to Kyneton the next yearIn December 1897, the original station building was destroyed by fire.In 1960, a crossover at the up end of the station was abolished.The station once had extra sidings on the far side of Platform 2, as well as a turntable. The sidings were abolished in February 1990, and the turntable was relocated to Castlemaine in the early 1990s, for use by the Victorian Goldfields Railway. In March 1995, the signal box was abolished, and was replaced with a signal bay within the Platform 1 station building. A crossover at the down end of the station and the turntable road were also abolished by March of that year. On 17 January 2005, the signal bay itself was abolished.The original stationmaster's house still stands. It was built in 1897 and, at the time, the stationmaster was able to see along the track from the doorways. The disused Carlsruhe station is located between Woodend and Kyneton stations.

Woodend () is a town in Victoria, Australia. The town is in the Shire of Macedon Ranges local government area and is bypassed to the east and north by the Calder Freeway (M79), located about halfway between Melbourne and Bendigo. At the 2021 census, Woodend had a population of 6,732 and is located on the Country of the Dja Dja Wurrung, Taungurung and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Peoples who are traditional custodians of this area.
