Roudham and Larling

Harling Road railway station is on the Breckland line in the east of England, serving the villages of Larling, Roudham and East Harling, Norfolk. The line runs between Cambridge in the west and Norwich in the east. Harling Road is situated between Thetford and Eccles Road, 101 miles 35 chains (163.2 km) from London Liverpool Street via Ely. The station is managed by Greater Anglia, which also operates most of the services calling at the station. Some East Midlands Railway also stop at Harling Road.

St George's Distillery is a distillery based in Roudham, Norfolk. It is owned by the English Whisky Company who are a producer of single malt whisky and other malt-based alcoholic spirits. It is notable for being the first dedicated English distillery for single malt whisky in 100 years at the time of the building's completion in 2006. Their first mature batch went on sale in 2009.

Larling is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Roudham and Larling, in the Breckland district, in the county of Norfolk, England. The village is 8.5 miles east north east of Thetford, 21.4 miles west south west of Norwich and 94 miles north east of London. In 1931 the parish had a population of 159.

St Peter and St Paul is a Grade I listed Church of England parish church in East Harling, Norfolk. It is part of Harling United Benefice, a group of five churches that also includes, St Andrew, Brettenham, St Mary, Bridgham, St Ethelbert, Larling and St John the Evangelist, Rushford.

East Harling is a village in the civil parish of Harling, in the Breckland district of Norfolk, England. It is the principal settlement in the parish of Harling and is located 8 miles (13 km) east of Thetford and 25 miles (40 km) south-west of the city of Norwich on the banks of the River Thet.

Harling is a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It covers an area of 23.19 km2 (8.95 sq mi) and had a population of 2,201 in 932 households at the 2001 census, reducing to a population of 2,142 in 941 households at the 2011 census. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of Breckland. The principal settlement in the parish is the village of East Harling, other settlements include Harling Road centred on Harling Road railway station (actually in Roudham and Larling parish), Middle Harling and West Harling. Henry Nicholas Ridley, the botanist, geologist and naturalist who was instrumental in promoting rubber trees in the Malay Peninsula, was born in the village of West Harling.

All Saints Church, West Harling, is a redundant Anglican church in the civil parish of Harling, Norfolk, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The church stands in an isolated position on the edge of Thetford Forest.

East Harling Common is a 15.1-hectare (37-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Thetford in Norfolk. The importance of this site lies in its pingos, periglacial ground ice depressions, and it has many scarce species of beetles. There are also areas of chalk grassland and floristically rich fen.

Middle Harling Fen is a 11.8-hectare (29-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest south of East Harling in Norfolk. This calcareous valley fen has several springs and a wide variety of types of grassland, including both wet and dry communities. There are uncommon flora such as adder's tongue and yellow rattle, and the breeding birds are diverse. The site is private land with no public access.

Roudham is a small settlement and former civil parish, now in the parish of Roudham and Larling, in the Breckland district, in the county of Norfolk, England. It was once home to Roudham Junction railway station. There are remains of a medieval settlement. Today, East Harling is home to St George's Distillery, the oldest actual single malt whisky distillery in England. The parish is centred round the ruinous church remains of St Andrew's Church; the church was abandoned in 1736 after a destructive fire. Although it remains to this day with all the walls remaining at their original height, the structure of the building is very weak. The church remains a significant monument in the landscape, however due to its weak condition, it has had to be cordoned off due to the danger of it collapsing. Negotiations for the repair of the church are in progress.

Snetterton is a village and civil parish in Norfolk, England. The village is about 9 miles (14 km) east-northeast of Thetford and 19 miles (31 km) southwest of Norwich. The civil parish has an area of 8.94 km2 (3.45 sq mi). The 2011 Census recorded a parish population of 201 people living in 74 households. The parish is in Breckland District.

Snetterton Circuit is a motor racing course in Norfolk, England, originally opened in 1953. Owned by Jonathan Palmer's MotorSport Vision organisation, it is situated on the A11 road 12-mile (19 km) north-east of the town of Thetford and 19-mile (31 km) south-west of the city of Norwich. The circuit is named after the nearby village of Snetterton to the north-west of the circuit, although much of the circuit lies in the adjoining civil parish of Quidenham. The circuit hosts races from series including the British Touring Car Championship, British Formula Three Championship and British Superbike Championship. From 1980 to 1994, the track hosted the UK's first 24-hour race, the Willhire 24 Hour. From 2003 to 2013 the Citroën 2CV 24 Hour Race was held at Snetterton on the 200 Circuit. After a short stint racing at Anglesey the 2CV 24Hr race has again returned to Snetterton and is usually held around the August bank holiday weekend.
