West Yangon General Hospital

Asia Royal Cardiac & Medical Care Centre (Burmese: အာရှတော်ဝင်ဆေးရုံ) is a private hospital located in No. 14, Baho Street, Sanchaung Township, Yangon, Myanmar. The hospital is an eleven-story twin building which was opened on 18 March 2000.

Kyimyindaing Township (Burmese: ကြည့်မြင်တိုင် မြို့နယ်, pronounced [tɕḭmjənàiɰ̃ mjo̰nɛ̀]; also Kyeemyindaing Township, Kyimyindine, or Kyi Myin Dine, and anglicised as Kemmendine) is located in the western part of Yangon, and shares borders with Kamayut Township in the north, the Yangon River and Twante Township in the west, Sanchaung Township in the east, and Ahlon Township in the south. It consists of 21 wards.

Government House, Rangoon (Burmese: ဘုရင်ခံအိမ်တော်) was the official residence (Government House) of the colonial governors of Burma. The building complex, located in north Rangoon, west of Shwedagon Pagoda at the corner of Prome and Ahlone Roads, was designed by British architect Hoyne Fox and built in between 1892 and 1895, at a cost of 717,000 rupees on a plot of 90 acres (36 ha). The building was built in the Queen Anne Revival style.The formal handover of power from colonial authorities to the newly formed government of Burma was commemorated at the lawn of the Government House on 4 January 1948. In the following years, it served as the de facto residence for Burmese presidents, including Sao Shwe Thaik, Ba Oo, and Mahn Win Maung.The building was demolished in 1985 on the orders of Ne Win following earthquake damage in the 1970s. A complex housing the national level People's Assembly was built on the former site of the Government House; it is now home to the Yangon Region Hluttaw.

Padonmar Stadium (Burmese: ပဒုမ္မာဘောလုံးကွင်း is a multi-use stadium, located in Yangon, Myanmar. The 3,000-seat stadium is smaller but more up-to-date than Aung San Stadium, and is the venue of choice for most national and international level football and track and field competitions.

Ahlone Township (Burmese: အလုံ မြို့နယ် [ʔəlòʊɰ̃ mjo̰nɛ̀]; also Ahlon Township) is located in the western part of Yangon. The township comprises eleven wards, and shares borders with Sanchaung township and Kyimyindaing township in the north, the Yangon river in the west, Dagon township in the east, and Lanmadaw township in the south. Ahlone wharves administered by Myanmar Port Authority are located in southwestern Ahlone. Asia World has also operated a port in Ahlone since 2000. Thakin Mya Park is the major park in the township. This park was reconstructed in 2014 and before was an abandoned park for many years. Ahlone Township was once home to Thiri Mingala Market, Yangon's largest wholesale and retail market until 2010, when the Yangon City Development Committee began preparations to move the market to Hlaing Township in the suburbs, to allow for lane expansions on Strand Road and expansion of Asia World's wharves.

The Yangon Children's Hospital (YCH) (Burmese: ရန်ကုန်ကလေးဆေးရုံကြီး) is a major public hospital in Yangon, Myanmar.The hospital was formerly known as "Jamatkhana Hospital" as the hospital was built on the site of former Gymkhana Club, an elite social club during colonial eras. The YCH was established in 1960 under the Yangon General Hospital with a capacity of 60 beds. In 1962–1963, the hospital moved to Myenigon with the capacity of 80 beds. In 1963, the hospital moved again to current 8.73-acre (3.53 ha) compound. The current main building was built in 1970 with Canadian aid, and opened in September 1978. Since then, a new three-story annex building with 550 beds has been added.

Sanchaung Township (Burmese: စမ်းချောင်းမြို့နယ် [sáɰ̃dʑáʊɰ̃ mjo̰nɛ̀]) is in the north central part of Yangon. The township comprises 18 wards, and shares borders with Kamayut Township in the north, Kamayut township and Bahan Township in the east, Kyimyindaing Township in the west, and Dagon Township and Ahlon Township in the south. The township has 19 primary schools, two middle schools and four high schools. Dagon Center I and II are shopping malls inside the township, where there are many restaurants, fashion shops, and Mingalar Cinema. Other recreational spaces include Happy World recreation center and People's Park. Sanchaung is known as "Little Kachin".

Basic Education High School No. 2 Sanchaung (Burmese: အမှတ် (၂) အခြေခံပညာအထက်တန်းကျောင်း စမ်းချောင်းမြို့နယ်; abbreviated to အ.ထ.က. (၂) စမ်းချောင်း; formerly, St. Philomena's High School; commonly known as Sanchaung 2 High School), located in Pyay Road, Sanchaung township, is a public high school in Yangon. The mostly-girls school offers classes from kindergarten to Tenth Standard (or Grade 1 through Grade 11 in the new nomenclature). The school's main colonial era building, in its 13-acre (5.26 hectare) campus, is a landmark protected by the city, and is listed on the Yangon City Heritage List.The school produced the top ranked students in 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014 at national college matriculation examinations.

The Thai Ambassador in Yangon is the official representative of the Government in Bangkok to the Government of Myanmar.

The Yangon Japanese School (YJS) (ヤンゴン日本人学校, Yangon Nihonjin Gakkō), previously the Rangoon Japanese School (ラングーン日本人学校, Rangūn Nihonjin Gakkō), is a Japanese international school in Dagon Township, Yangon, Burma. It is affiliated with the Embassy of Japan in Myanmar. The school adopted its current name on September 22, 1989 (Heisei 1).
