The Yankin Children's Hospital (Burmese: ရန်ကင်းကလေးဆေးရုံကြီး) is a major public hospital in Yangon, Myanmar. The hospital established in 2011 with a capacity of 550 beds.

The Yangon Children's Hospital (YCH) (Burmese: ရန်ကုန်ကလေးဆေးရုံကြီး) is a major public hospital in Yangon, Myanmar.The hospital was formerly known as "Jamatkhana Hospital" as the hospital was built on the site of former Gymkhana Club, an elite social club during colonial eras. The YCH was established in 1960 under the Yangon General Hospital with a capacity of 60 beds. In 1962–1963, the hospital moved to Myenigon with the capacity of 80 beds. In 1963, the hospital moved again to current 8.73-acre (3.53 ha) compound. The current main building was built in 1970 with Canadian aid, and opened in September 1978. Since then, a new three-story annex building with 550 beds has been added.

The Yangon Japanese School (YJS) (ヤンゴン日本人学校, Yangon Nihonjin Gakkō), previously the Rangoon Japanese School (ラングーン日本人学校, Rangūn Nihonjin Gakkō), is a Japanese international school in Dagon Township, Yangon, Burma. It is affiliated with the Embassy of Japan in Myanmar. The school adopted its current name on September 22, 1989 (Heisei 1).

The ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar is the head of Malaysia's diplomatic mission to Myanmar. The position has the rank and status of an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary and is based in the Embassy of Malaysia, Yangon.

Government House, Rangoon (Burmese: ဘုရင်ခံအိမ်တော်) was the official residence (Government House) of the colonial governors of Burma. The building complex, located in north Rangoon, west of Shwedagon Pagoda at the corner of Prome and Ahlone Roads, was designed by British architect Hoyne Fox and built in between 1892 and 1895, at a cost of 717,000 rupees on a plot of 90 acres (36 ha). The building was built in the Queen Anne Revival style.The formal handover of power from colonial authorities to the newly formed government of Burma was commemorated at the lawn of the Government House on 4 January 1948. In the following years, it served as the de facto residence for Burmese presidents, including Sao Shwe Thaik, Ba Oo, and Mahn Win Maung.The building was demolished in 1985 on the orders of Ne Win following earthquake damage in the 1970s. A complex housing the national level People's Assembly was built on the former site of the Government House; it is now home to the Yangon Region Hluttaw.

The Gymkhana Ground was a cricket ground in Rangoon, Burma (today Yangon, Myanmar), where a first-class cricket match took place between the touring Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and Rangoon Gymkhana. The first recorded match held on the ground was in December 1912, when Rangoon Gymkhana played the Europeans. Two further matches were held in that month, with Upper Burma playing the Europeans, and Burma playing the Europeans.The next recorded match on the ground came in 1927 when Rangoon Gymkhana played its only first-class match against the MCC. It is also the only first-class match played by a Burmese domestic team. The two-day match ended in a draw.Cricket in Burma (which was at the time administered as part of the British Raj) was a mainly British affair. The Rangoon Gymkhana was frequented exclusively by British officials, which was reflected by the make up of the Gymkhana team against the Marylebone Cricket Club. With Burmese independence in 1948, cricket became largely extinct in the country. The ground along with the Gymkhana Club itself was located along the Halpin Road, today renamed Pyidaungzu Yeiktha Street, and was adjacent to the Prome Road, today renamed Pyay Road.

Basic Education High School No. 4 Ahlone (Burmese: အခြေခံ ပညာ အထက်တန်း ကျောင်း အမှတ် (၄) အလုံ; commonly known as Ahlone 4 High School; formerly Cushing High School) is a public high school in Yangon. The school is located at 57, Lower Kyeemyindaing Road, in Ahlone Township. The school's main building is a landmark protected by the city, and is listed on the Yangon City Heritage List. This school offers education from kindergarten to tenth grade.

The National Museum of Myanmar (Yangon), (Burmese: အမျိုးသား ပြတိုက်), located in Dagon, Yangon, is the major one of the two national museums for Burmese art, history and culture in Myanmar. Founded in 1952, the five-storey museum has an extensive collection of ancient artifacts, ornaments, work of art, inscriptions and historic memorabilia, related to history, culture and civilization of Burmese people. The main attraction of the museum is the only surviving original Lion Throne of the Burmese monarchs. There are more than 4000 permanent objects in the museum. Public museums in Myanmar are administered by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture and can be classified as national museums, archaeological museums, regional cultural museums, and memorial museums. Furthermore, other kinds of museum are appearing under other ministries, like the Defense Services Museum in the capital Naypyidaw, or in the private sector. The museum is open from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, except on Mondays and public holidays.

Pegu Club (Burmese: ပဲခူးကလပ်) is a recognized heritage site in Yangon, Myanmar, which was a Victorian-style Gentlemen's club founded in 1871 during the British colonization of Burma. The building was built in 1880 and finished in 1882. Pegu Club used to be a place for British officials to spend their time for a drink or two. It was well known because of its signature Pegu Club Cocktail. In southeast Asia, Pegu Club was an equivalent place to the Royal Selangor Club of Kuala Lumpur and The Tanglin Club of Singapore. Rudyard Kipling, as a young newspaperman, visited Pegu Club when he was in Yangon in 1889. Paul Theroux visited Pegu Club in the early 1970s and wrote about it in his book The Great Railway Bazaar. The first phase of the Pegu Club's restoration was completed in 2018.

Ahlone Township (Burmese: အလုံ မြို့နယ် [ʔəlòʊɰ̃ mjo̰nɛ̀]; also Ahlon Township) is located in the western part of Yangon. The township comprises eleven wards, and shares borders with Sanchaung township and Kyimyindaing township in the north, the Yangon river in the west, Dagon township in the east, and Lanmadaw township in the south. Ahlone wharves administered by Myanmar Port Authority are located in southwestern Ahlone. Asia World has also operated a port in Ahlone since 2000. Thakin Mya Park is the major park in the township. This park was reconstructed in 2014 and before was an abandoned park for many years. Ahlone Township was once home to Thiri Mingala Market, Yangon's largest wholesale and retail market until 2010, when the Yangon City Development Committee began preparations to move the market to Hlaing Township in the suburbs, to allow for lane expansions on Strand Road and expansion of Asia World's wharves.

The 500–bed Specialty Hospital, Yangon (Burmese: ခုတင်(၅၀၀)ဆံ့ အထူးကုဆေးရုံကြီး ရန်ကုန်) is a specialty hospital in Yangon, Myanmar (Burma), which was formally opened on 25 Aug 2014. It is located on Min Ye Kyaw Swar Road in Lanmadaw Township and 20-minute walk from Yangon General Hospital. It was established by renovating the building that the Ministry of Energy used in the past. It was built by the Ministry of Health, Myanmar in cooperation with 4 private companies: Original Group, A1, Golden Flower and Shwe Taung Development. Over 7.6 million USD was provided by the companies and the Ministry of Health was responsible for interior decoration, equipment and staff. It is aimed to be the main facility for liver and kidney transplants in the future.Health services have been providing in the hospital since 1 January 2014 while operation theater and special departments were in place at the end of June 2014. Under support of the government, a modular operation theater and air handing unit and a special ward have been operating since 30 June 2014. From January to July 2014, total 4,385 patients were admitted in the hospital and there have been 13,246 patients visited the hospital.There are 5 professors, 8 senior consultants, 22 junior consultants, 25 civil assistant surgeons and 130 nurses in the hospital.It is also a Tertiary Care Teaching Hospital affiliated with University of Medicine 1, Yangon and University of Medicine 2, Yangon.
