Sanchaung Township

Basic Education High School No. 2 Sanchaung (Burmese: အမှတ် (၂) အခြေခံပညာအထက်တန်းကျောင်း စမ်းချောင်းမြို့နယ်; abbreviated to အ.ထ.က. (၂) စမ်းချောင်း; formerly, St. Philomena's High School; commonly known as Sanchaung 2 High School), located on Pyay Road, Sanchaung township, is a public high school in Yangon. The mostly-girls school offers classes from kindergarten to Tenth Standard (or Grade 1 through Grade 11 in the new nomenclature). The school's main colonial era building, in its 13-acre (5.26 hectare) campus, is a landmark protected by the city, and is listed on the Yangon City Heritage List. Mahar Myaing Building မဟာမြိုင်ဆောင် (commonly known as အပေါ်‌‌ကျောင်း) was built on December 8th 1926. Malar Myaing Building မာလာမြိုင်ဆောင် (commonly known as ‌အောက်ကျောင်း) was built in 1938. The school produced the top ranked students in 2009, 2010, 2013, and 2014 at national college matriculation examinations.

Padonmar Stadium (Burmese: ပဒုမ္မာဘောလုံးကွင်း is a multi-use stadium, located in Yangon, Myanmar. The 3,000-seat stadium is smaller but more up-to-date than Aung San Stadium, and is the venue of choice for most national and international level football and track and field competitions.

Asia Royal Cardiac & Medical Care Centre (Burmese: အာရှတော်ဝင်ဆေးရုံ) is a private hospital located in No. 14, Baho Street, Sanchaung Township, Yangon, Myanmar. The hospital is an eleven-story twin building which was opened on 18 March 2000.

Kyandaw Cemetery (Burmese: ကြံတောသုသာန်), located in Kamayut Township, was Yangon's largest cemetery before it was demolished between 1996 and 1997 for redevelopment as the Yangon Drugs Elimination Museum. The relocation of graves was ordered by the Burmese government in December 1996. Descendants of the interred were given one month's notice to move the remains for reburial in Yangon's outskirts, at Yayway Cemetery and at Hteinbin Cemetery in Hlaingthaya Township. Kyandaw Cemetery occupied a 50 acres (20 ha) expanse of land about .5 miles (0.80 km) away from Yangon University. It was established during the colonial era. Kyandaw Cemetery was the city's common burial ground for Burmese Buddhists, but also included Christian, Chinese, Hindu and Islamic cemeteries. The Hindu section of the cemetery covered 1.6 hectares (4.0 acres).In 1991, the Yangon City Corporation (now the Yangon City Development Committee) ordered the relocation of graves at St. John's Cantonment Cemetery to Kyandaw. The graves included those of British soldiers. In 1994, the army moved the remains of the interred from Tamwe Cemetery to Kyandaw to build a supermarket.

The Drug Elimination Museum (Burmese: မူးယစ်ဆေးဝါးပပျောက်ရေး အထိမ်းအမှတ်ပြတိုက်) is a museum in Yangon, Myanmar. It opened with ceremony on 26 June 2001. It is located at the corner of Kyandaw Road and Hanthawady Road in Kamayut Township, Yangon, Burma, on the former site of the city's largest cemetery, Kyandaw Cemetery. It is dedicated to the International Day Against Drug Abuse and illicit trafficking. The museum has three floors which contain exhibits on drug abuse and government efforts to contain the problem. The highlights of the museum include the eccentric dioramas, the random exhibits that demand interpretation, and the macabre displays depicting the detrimental repercussions of drug usage.

Kamayut District (Burmese: ကမာရွတ်ခရိုင်) is a District in Yangon Region, Myanmar. It is a township of Yangon and contains two townships. The district was created in 2022, being one of the new districts created from the former West Yangon District.

Kyimyindaing Township (Burmese: ကြည့်မြင်တိုင် မြို့နယ်, pronounced [tɕḭmjənàiɰ̃ mjo̰nɛ̀]; also Kyeemyindaing Township, Kyimyindine, or Kyi Myin Dine, and anglicised as Kemmendine) is located in the western part of Yangon, and shares borders with Kamayut Township in the north, the Yangon River and Twante Township in the west, Sanchaung Township in the east, and Ahlon Township in the south. It consists of 21 wards.
