Calcot Manor is a historic building in Calcot, three and a half miles west of Tetbury on A 4135 in Gloucestershire, England, near the junction of roads A46 and A4135 (National Grid Reference ST 841180 94891). The original building was established in approximately 1300 AD by Henry of Kingswood as a tithe barn annex of Kingswood Abbey. The estate was expanded to include a 16th-century manor house and other buildings. Structures added from the Late Middle Ages to the mid-17th century include a chapel, granary, stables and other buildings. The buildings are all constructed from limestone; which are locally quarried stones that are typically flat and easily stacked for drystone wall purposes.

Beverston Castle, also known as Beverstone Castle or Tetbury Castle, was constructed as a medieval stone fortress in the village of Beverston, Gloucestershire, England. The property is a mix of manor house, various small buildings, extensive gardens and the medieval ruins of the fortified building. The castle was founded in 1229 by Maurice de Gaunt.Much of the castle remained in a state of ruin according to a 2019 report, and had been uninhabitable since the 17th century. Several buildings on the 693-acre property, including five cottages and the 17th century house with seven bedrooms, were in use as residences, however.

The Church of Saint Mary the Virgin is the parish church of Beverston, Gloucestershire, England, and a Grade II* listed building. The church is of Norman foundation, most likely built upon a Saxon site, extended in around 1225 and again in 1361 by Thomas de Berkeley, 5th Baron Berkeley, Lord of Berkeley Castle. The church was restored in the mid Nineteenth Century, probably by the architect Lewis Vulliamy, and again in the late Nineteenth Century. The church is situated next door to Beverston Castle.

Kingscote and Horsley Woods (grid reference ST831971) is a 43.79-hectare (108.2-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Gloucestershire, notified in 1966. The site (Kingscote Woods Complex, including Conygre Wood, Sandgrove Wood and Fishponds Wood) is listed in the 'Cotswold District' Local Plan 2001-2011 (on line) as a Key Wildlife Site (KWS).

Lasborough is a settlement in Gloucestershire, England, part of the Westonbirt with Lasborough civil parish. Lasborough lies to the west of the A46, about two miles north of Leighterton, two miles south of Kingscote and five miles west of Tetbury. Lasborough is an ancient settlement, with remains of a Roman villa nearby, and it lay on the Roman road from Bath to Chavenage Green. In 1086, the Domesday Book recorded a settlement of 13 households. However, like its sister community of Westonbirt, the village of Lasborough was largely depopulated in the Middle Ages, with only the manor house and the church surviving.The manor house, which dated from 1319, belonged to the Estcourt family from 1598. It was rebuilt about 1610 as Lasborough Manor (later Lasborough Farm), and the surrounding land enclosed, by Sir Thomas Estcourt (1569–1624). He served as a justice of the peace and a sheriff, as well as two periods as an MP, first for Malmesbury and later for Gloucestershire.Lasborough House was built in the 1790s on part of the estate of Lasborough Farm for the then owner, Edmund Estcourt, by the architect James Wyatt in a castellated neo-Gothic style.By the 1820s, the church of St. Mary's, Lasborough was derelict. It was rebuilt in 1861–2 by Lewis Vulliamy for R. S. Holford, who had purchased the Lasborough estate in 1844. The church featured in the BBC TV series Lark Rise to Candleford. It is one of the ten churches in the benefice of Badminton.

Beverston is a village and civil parish in the Cotswold district of Gloucestershire, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 132, decreasing to 129 at the 2011 census. The village is about two miles west of Tetbury. Beverston (also spelled Beverstone) is an example of a typical unaltered Gloucestershire Cotswold village. It is home to Beverston Castle dating to the 12th Century, a Norman Church St Mary's Church, Beverston, and some examples of Cotswold architecture.

Horsley Priory was a medieval, monastic house in Gloucestershire, England. Goda owned an estate at Horsley, in 1066. It was granted to Troarn Abbey by Roger de Montgomery before 1086. The original grant was said to provide for a prior, a monk, and a parish chaplain to reside at Horsley. From those provisions emerged the cell called Horsley Priory. Troarn Abbey exchanged the priory with Bruton Priory for lands in Normandy in 1260. The priory of Horsley ceased to exist before 1380. Horsley manor was retained by Bruton Priory, until the Dissolution of the Monasteries in 1539. In 1541, Horsley was granted to Thomas Seymour.

Horsley is a village and civil parish about one and a half miles south-west of the small Cotswold market town of Nailsworth. The origins of the name Horsley are much debated, although it is thought to be derived from the pre-7th-century Old English phrase, "horse-lega", meaning "place of horses".A habitation was recorded in 1327 at Barton End, named after a barton on the manor estate. The village sprung from cross-roads east of St Martin Church. The Parish is bisected from south to north by the Bath-Gloucester, built in 1780.

Lasborough Park (or Lasborough House) is a Grade II listed country house in Newington Bagpath/Lasborough, Tetbury, Gloucestershire, England. The estate includes a medieval manor, a house, and parkland. The original medieval manor, Lasborough Farm, dates to the 11th century, and included terraced gardens. A manor house is record in the 14th century. The manor was surrounded by woodland and a deer park. Lasborough House and its pleasure grounds was built in 1794.In the mid 17th century, the Lasborough manor was made up of two farms which were worked by tenant farmers, that of Lasborough Park and also Bowldown Farm. Lasborough Farm had an old manor-house. The country house Lasborough Park was built in 1794 for Edmund Estcourt by James Wyatt in Tudor Gothic style. In the early 1870s, Lasborough Park was owned by Robert Stayner Holford of Westonbirt House. The house was enlarged and altered in the 19th century. It was later purchased by Galbraith Cole. In 1929, the house was purchased by Maj. R. A. Scott who held it until 1950. It passed to a timber merchant firm in 1952 who cut down trees on the property. In 1954, it was purchased by W. Curtis and the old manor-house was sold off.The Middle Avon River rises at two heads; one in Newington Bagpath, which passes through Lasborough Park to Boxwell; the, other in Hawkesbury, which passes by Wickwar. The streams unite below Kingswood, county of Wiltshire.

Westonbirt with Lasborough is a civil parish in the district of Cotswold, in the county of Gloucestershire, England. It includes the villages of Lasborough and Westonbirt. As of 2019, it has a population of 293.

Boxwell SSSI (grid reference ST816928) is a 5.31-hectare (13.1-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Gloucestershire, notified in 1954. The site is listed in the 'Cotswold District' Local Plan 2001-2011 (on line) as a Key Wildlife Site (KWS).
