The Military and Cultural Institute of National Defense University, People's Liberation Army (Chinese: 中国人民解放军国防大学军事文化学院), previously the People's Liberation Army Academy of Art (Chinese: 中国人民解放军艺术学院, colloquially known as Junyi 军艺), is an academic institute of the PLA National Defense University in Haidian District, Beijing, China. It has one campus, consisting of 7 departments and 12 specialties.

The National Library of China (Chinese: 中国国家图书馆; NLC) is the national library of the People's Republic of China, located in Beijing, China, and is one of the largest libraries in the world. It contains over 41 million items as of December 2020. It holds the largest collection of Chinese literature and historical documents in the world and covers an area of 280,000 square meters. The National Library is a public welfare institution sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The collections of the National Library have inherited the royal collections since the Southern Song Dynasty and private collections since the Ming and Qing dynasties. The oldest collections can be traced back to the oracle bones of Yin Ruins more than 3,000 years ago.The National Library is a major research and public library, with items in 123 languages and in many formats, both print and digital: books, manuscripts, journals, newspapers, magazines, sound and music recordings, videos, play-scripts, patents, databases, maps, stamps, prints, drawings. As of December 2020, the collection contains more than 41 million volumes and is growing at a rate of one million volumes per year. The total amount of digital resources exceeds 1000TB and is growing at a rate of 100TB per year.The National Library of China was initially founded as the Imperial Peking Library by the Qing government in 1909. After several name changes and administrative alternation, it was renamed the National Library of China in 1999. The National Library now consists of the South Complex, the North Complex, the Ancient Books Hall, the Children's Hall, and seventeen dispatched research libraries to the central government's various departments and the Academy of Military Sciences.

Guojia Tushuguan (National Library) Station (simplified Chinese: 国家图书馆站; traditional Chinese: 國家圖書館站; pinyin: Guójiā Túshūguǎn Zhàn, also known as National Library station or Guojiɑ Tushuguɑn Zhɑn) is an interchange station on Line 4, Line 9 and Line 16 of the Beijing Subway. Its name is derived from the nearby National Library of China. The station features a double-island interchange layout, with Line 4 trains on the outside and Line 9 trains on the inside, which allows most riders to change lines simply by crossing the platform, instead of walking between levels. This configuration is known as cross-platform interchange. The station handles 106,000 transfers between Lines 4 and 9 per day. The platform for Line 16 is built under the Line 4 and Line 9 platform. If the through service of Fangshan line to Line 9 is counted, which started on January 18, 2023, this would be the first four-line interchange on the Beijing Subway.

The Five Pagoda Temple (Chinese: 五塔寺; pinyin: Wǔ Tǎ Sì), formally known as the "Temple of the Great Righteous Awakening" (traditional Chinese: 大真覺寺; simplified Chinese: 大真觉寺; pinyin: Dà Zhēnjué Sì) or "Zhenjue Temple" (Chinese: 真觉寺; Chinese: 真覺寺; pinyin: Zhēnjué Sì) for short, is a Ming dynasty Buddhist temple located in Haidian District, Beijing, China.

The Capital Indoor Stadium (simplified Chinese: 首都体育馆; traditional Chinese: 首都體育館; pinyin: Shǒudū Tǐyùguǎn) is an indoor arena in 56 Zhongguancun South Street, Beijing, China that was built in 1968. It hosted matches between national table tennis teams of China and the United States in 1971; these matches were part of the exchange program known as ping pong diplomacy.

Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU; Chinese: 北京交通大学; lit. 'Beijing Transport University'), previously Northern Jiaotong University, is a public university in Beijing, China. Purple Bamboo Park(Chinese: 紫竹院公园; pinyin: Zǐzhúyuàn Gōngyuán; also called Zizhuyuan Park or Black Bamboo Park) is one of the seven largest parks in Beijing, China. It is located in the Haidian District of northwestern Beijing. The park consists of three connecting lakes covering over a total area of 48 hectares. The lakes' eastern shores consist of several small hills, and they were formed with the earth dredged from the lakes, to balance the natural hills on the western shores of the lakes. There are five bridges connecting the lakes, islands and hills into a single integrated area. To the north of the lakes the Changhe River flows through.Typical of classical Chinese garden style, and like many of Beijing's parks and gardens, it is a mountain-water landscaped garden. Constructed around canals and large lakes, the Bamboo Park is known for its liberal use of verdant bamboo groves. The garden has a variety of bamboos on display, with the variety ranging as much as up to 50 species. There is also an art museum located within the park. The three major lakes in the park were formed in 1159. During the Ming Dynasty, the Wanli Emperor built a royal garden on the bank of the lake in 1577, and the bamboo was planted following that. In 1954, the park was rebuilt and open to public. During the 2008 Summer Olympics, it was selected as one of the three protest zones.

Renmin Daxue (Renmin Univ.) Station (simplified Chinese: 人民大学站; traditional Chinese: 人民大學站; pinyin: Rénmín Dàxué Zhàn) is a station on Line 4 of the Beijing Subway. It is located near the east gate of Renmin University.

The Paleozoological Museum of China (PMC; Chinese: 中国古动物馆) is a museum in Beijing, China. The same building also houses the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The museum contains exhibition halls with specimens aimed at the public, while the rest of the building is used for research purposes.

The Beijing Sitong Bridge protest was a protest in China during the prelude to the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). On the morning of October 13, 2022, a protester demonstrated against CCP general secretary Xi Jinping's cult of personality, dictatorship, human rights violations, strengthening of censorship, seeking of leadership for life and implementation of the zero-COVID policy by hanging banners and burning tires on Sitong Bridge (Chinese: 四通桥; pinyin: Sìtōng Qiáo) in Haidian District, Beijing. The protester, Peng Lifa (彭立发; pinyin: Péng Lìfā; b. 1974), has been dubbed Bridge Man or Banner Man in reference to Tank Man.
