Gaasbeek

Elingen is a village in the municipality of Pepingen, in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant.

Gaasbeek Castle (Dutch: Kasteel van Gaasbeek, French: Château de Gaesbeek) is a castle located in Lennik, Flemish Brabant in Belgium. Nowadays, it serves as a national museum.

Lennik (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈlɛnɪk]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. The municipality comprises the towns of Sint-Kwintens-Lennik, Sint-Martens-Lennik, Eizeringen and Gaasbeek. It is also situated in the Pajottenland. On January 1, 2006, Lennik had a total population of 8,694. The total area is 30.80 km² which gives a population density of 282 inhabitants per km². On its territory is the national Gaasbeek Castle museum. A 4 metre high statue of Prince (a traditional plough horse) stands on the Market Place.

Lindemans Brewery (Brouwerij Lindemans) is a Belgian family brewery based in Vlezenbeek, a small town in Flemish Brabant, southwestern Brussels. It produces lambics, a style of Belgian ale that uses raw wheat and wild yeast.

The Sint-Pieters-Leeuw Tower, sometimes called the VRT-toren, although there are several by that name, is a 302-metre-tall (991 ft) free standing tower at Sint-Pieters-Leeuw, on the outskirts of Brussels, Belgium, built between 1991 and 1994. It is the tallest free standing structure in Belgium. The tower's location, south-west of Brussels, was chosen for its central location in Belgium and to minimize hindrance to Brussels Airport beyond the opposite end of the city. The tower is owned by Norkring België.After its construction, it emerged that the tower was built illegally, due to irregularities in the building permits. There were complaints against it as locals feel the unpainted concrete is an eyesore, and it has even been suggested that the tower may be demolished. In April 2007, the irregularities were straightened out and the tower has retroactively acquired the legal permit to be built.

Pepingen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈpeːpɪŋə(n)]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. The municipality comprises the villages of Beert, Bellingen, Bogaarden, Elingen, Heikruis and Pepingen proper. It is also situated in the Pajottenland. On January 1, 2006, Pepingen had a total population of 4,352. The total area is 36.05 km² which gives a population density of 121 inhabitants per km².

The watermill at Sint-Gertrudis-Pede (Pedemolen) in the municipality of Dilbeek is the only working watermill in the Pajottenland, and is protected as a monument since 1975

Gertrude of Nivelles, daughter of Pippin I, was due to the inherit the property. But when she joined the Abbey of St. Gertrude, all her possessions were donated to the abbey.

Sint-Anna-Pede is a village in Itterbeek, Belgium, which is a deelgemeente of Dilbeek. It gets its name from the Pedebeek, the stream that flows through the village.Sint-Anna-Pede was already mentioned in the first half of the 12th century as "Pethe"; later also as "capelle beatissima Anna in Peda" and as "apud Pede juxta nova capella", which means that there was possibly an older building at the same site.
