Horningtoft Wood is a 8.3-hectare (21-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest south of Fakenham in Norfolk. This ancient coppice with standards wood on boulder clay has exceptionally diverse ground flora with several rare species. There are scattered mature oaks and the main coppiced species are hazel, ash and maple. The ground flora is dominated by dog's mercury on heavy soils and bramble on lighter ones. The site is private land with no public access.

The parish is 21.2 miles (34.1 km) south-west of Cromer, 23.1 miles (37.2 km) north-west of Norwich and 117 miles (188 km) north-east of London. The parish lies 4 miles (6.4 km) south-east of the nearby town of Fakenham. The nearest railway station is at Sheringham for the Bittern Line which runs between Sheringham, Cromer and Norwich. The nearest airport is Norwich International Airport. The parish includes the villages of Great Ryburgh and Little Ryburgh. It covers an area of 10.04 km2 (3.88 sq mi) and had a population of 668 in 264 households at the 2001 census, the population increasing to 694 at the 2011 Census. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of North Norfolk. The parish has two main religious buildings: St. Andrew's a Church of England round-tower church and a small Methodist chapel. In addition to these there is St. Clare's chapel a small Roman Catholic shrine within the grounds of the Old Rectory. It is located about two miles south-east of the market town of Fakenham. The River Wensum flows through the parish. The parish has a large maltings which has been producing malt on a traditional malting floor for two centuries.[1] The parish and maltings were formerly served by Ryburgh station on the Great Eastern Railway branch from Wymondham and East Dereham to Fakenham and Wells-next-the-Sea. This line is proposed for restoration, as far as Fakenham, by the Mid-Norfolk Railway. The church of Great Ryburgh St. Andrew is one of 124 existing round-tower churches in Norfolk. The church houses a complete set of 1890 Taylor bells. Practice nights are Tuesday and Thursday. The Boar Inn is located in Great Ryburgh and is a traditional English country inn, with low-beamed ceilings and an inglenook fireplace in the bar.

Brisley is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. Brisley is located 5.7 miles (9.2 km) north of Dereham and 19 miles (31 km) north-west of Norwich.

Sennowe Hall (also known as Sennowe Park) is a large country house and estate located near the village of Guist in Norfolk, England. The clock tower, the house and the stables, all located in a landscaped park, are Grade II* listed buildings. Sennowe Hall was originally a Georgian house built in 1774 by Thomas Wodehouse who had inherited the estate from his aunt Mary Bacon in 1760. It was sold by his son Edmond Wodehouse MP in 1850 and was subsequently owned by the Morse-Boycott family, who had it re-built by Decimus Burton. It then passed into ownership of the lighting engineer Bernard Le Neve Foster. The estate was bought in 1898 by Thomas Albert Cook, a grandson of Thomas Cook, the founder of the Thomas Cook and Son travel agency. He commissioned the Norwich architect George Skipper to remodel and considerably enlarge the house. The house and its surrounding estate are still owned by his descendants. The hall was the main filming location for The Tragedy at Marsdon Manor, an episode of the television series Agatha Christie's Poirot.

For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of Breckland. The villages name means 'Curtilage of the Horningas (= dwellers at the horn-shaped piece of land)'. The village approximately 5 miles north of East Dereham. It is close to the villages of Whissonsett and Brisley. The village has a Danish Camp to its eastern end.

Testerton is a small village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Pudding Norton, in the North Norfolk district, in the county of Norfolk, England. It is located between the village of Great Ryburgh and the market town of Fakenham. In 1931 the parish had a population of 53. Testerton is one of a clutch of deserted villages and associated churches within a few kilometres of Fakenham.

Stibbard is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The village is 19.3 miles (31.1 km) south-west of Cromer, 21.2 miles (34.1 km) north-west of Norwich and 120 mi (190 km) north-east of London. The village lies 4.9 miles (7.9 km) south-east of the nearby town of Fakenham. The nearest railway station is at Sheringham for the Bittern Line which runs between Sheringham, Cromer and Norwich. The nearest airport is Norwich International Airport. The villages name origin is uncertain. The name exists in a variety of spellings suggesting 'border path', 'stone border' and 'stone bridge'. It covers an area of 7.30 km2 (2.82 sq mi) and had a population of 365 in 149 households at the 2001 census, the population falling to 346 at the 2011 Census. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of North Norfolk.

Pensthorpe Natural Park is located in Pensthorpe, Norfolk, England and is approximately one mile from Fakenham and close to the A1067 road. The park covers 700 acres (280 ha). The River Wensum, which runs through the site, is a designated Special Area of Conservation (SAC). Pensthorpe Conservation Trust (PCT) was formed in January 2003. It is a charitable trust that works closely with Pensthorpe Natural Park to showcase the importance of species and habitat conservation. The PCT works with partner organisations in national conservation programmes to conserve wetland and farmland bird species. These partnerships include Operation Turtle Dove, The Great Crane Project and re-introduction projects for red squirrels and corncrakes.

Stanfield (English: ) is a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It covers an area of 3.80 km2 (1.47 sq mi) and had a population of 162 in 2011, and 144 at the 2001 census. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of Breckland. Stanfield belongs to the Parliamentary Constituency of Mid-Norfolk and is currently governed by George Freeman as their member of Parliament who is representative of the Conservative Party.

East Bilney is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Beetley, in the Breckland district, in the county of Norfolk, England. East Bilney is located 7.8 kilometres (4.8 mi) north-west of Dereham and 30 kilometres (19 mi) north-west of Norwich. In 1931, the parish had a population of 117.
