The Rockefeller Archeological Museum, formerly the Palestine Archaeological Museum ("PAM"; 1938–1967), and which before then housed The Imperial Museum of Antiquities (Müze-i Hümayun; 1901–1917), is an archaeology museum located in East Jerusalem that houses a large collection of artifacts unearthed in the excavations conducted in the region of Palestine, mainly in the 1920s and 1930s.With the beginning of the Israeli occupation of the West Bank in 1967, the Palestine Archaeological Museum was renamed "Rockefeller Museum", and it has since then been under the management of the Israel Museum. The museum today houses the head office of the Israel Antiquities Authority.The Museum's most priced collection, the Dead Sea Scrolls, were housed in the Museum from their discovery, in 1947, until 1967, when, following the Israeli capture of East Jerusalem, Israel relocated the scrolls to the Israel Museum, in West Jerusalem, with the ownership of these scrolls having been heavily contested ever since. A small part of the scrolls, including the Copper Scroll, had been taken to Amman, and is now part of the collection of The Jordan Museum.

Herod's Gate (Arabic: باب الزاهرة, Bab az-Zahra, Hebrew: שער הפרחים‎ Translit.: Sha'ar HaPrakhim Translated: Flowers Gate) is one of the seven open Gates of the Old City of Jerusalem. It connects the Muslim Quarter inside of the old city to the eponymic Palestinian neighbourhood of Bab az-Zahra, situated just outside. It is a short distance to the east of the Damascus Gate. Its elevation is 755 meters above sea level.

Bāb Ḥuṭṭa (Arabic: باب حطة or باب الحطه Bāb (al-)Huṭṭa, Bāb (al-)Hiṭṭa) is a neighborhood in the Muslim Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem to the north of Al-Aqsa Compound. The name literally means "Forgiveness (or Remission or Pardon) Gate", referring to the Remission Gate of the Haram compound, connected by Bāb Ḥuṭṭa Street. As one of the northern gates, it is opposite to Abwab Mihrab Mariam and between Madrasah al-Karimiyah and Turbah al-Awhadiyah. It is located on the Northern Wall near the eastern corner. According to the study of Al-Ratrout (2002), the gate's name has changed throughout history. It is believed that this change was due to restorations over the years and Le Strange named this door as the ancient Bab al-Asbat. Today, Bab al-Hitta is one of the three gates that are open for morning, evening, and night prayers.

The Pool of Bethesda is from the Christian Bible's New Testament, John 5:2 account of Jesus healing a paralyzed man at a pool in Jerusalem, described as being near the Sheep Gate and surrounded by five covered colonnades or porticoes. It is now associated with the site of a pool in the current Muslim Quarter of the city, near the gate now called the Lions' Gate or St. Stephen's Gate and the Church of St. Anne, that was excavated in the late 19th century.

The Monastery of St. Nicodemus is a monastery and church of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem, dedicated to Nicodemus. It is in Jerusalem's Muslim Quarter, south of Herod's Gate and 90 metres north of the Via Dolorosa.According to an Orthodox belief, Saint Peter's prison was in its basement, where he was jailed by Herod Agrippa and then freed by an angel.

The Church of Saint Anne (French: Église Sainte-Anne, Latin: Ecclesia S. Anna, Arabic: كنيسة القديسة حنة, Hebrew: כנסיית סנטה אנה) is a French Roman Catholic church and French national domain located in the Muslim Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem, near the start of the Via Dolorosa, next to the Lions' Gate.

The Church of the Flagellation is a Roman Catholic church and Christian pilgrimage site located in the Muslim Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem, near St. Stephen's Gate (also called Lions' Gate). It is part a Franciscan monastery which also includes the Church of the Condemnation and Imposition of the Cross. The monastery stands at the traditional Second Station of the Cross on the Via Dolorosa.

The East Jerusalem Central Bus Station is an Arab transportation hub serving Arab neighborhoods in Jerusalem and the West Bank. It is located on Sultan Suleiman Street across from the Old City's Damascus Gate.Established in 1953, the station was leased to the Jerusalem municipality for thirty years. It is owned and operated by the Waqf administration responsible for a number of properties in the Old City.

The Terra Sancta Museum is a museum run by the Catholic Church Custody of the Holy Land, in the Old City of Jerusalem. First opened in 1902, then reopened in March 2016, the museum exhibits ancient artifacts, items and structures (fishing hooks, slingshot, spearheads, cisterns, seeds, hairpins, mirror, make-up spatula sets, tableware, work tools, ancient coins, coin casting molds, playing dice ceramic fragments, ossuaries stone slabs, and burial tombs) that existed at the time of Jesus.

Studium Biblicum Franciscanum (English: Franciscan Biblical Studies) is a Franciscan academic society based in Jerusalem. It is a center of biblical and archaeological research and studies.

The Umariya Elementary School (al-Omariyya, al-ʿUmariyya) is a madrassa in the Muslim Quarter of Jerusalem's Old City. It is located at the start of the Via Dolorosa, where it marks the First Station of the Cross, and is adjacent to the Convent of the Sisters of Zion. Underneath the buildings of the school are remains of the Antonia Fortress. In 1996, under the orders of the then prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, an exit from the Western Wall Tunnel was opened into the Via Dolorosa underneath the school (specifically, under the school's entrance stairs). This was interpreted by some in the Arab population as a land-grab, and over the subsequent week, 80 people were killed as a result of riots against the creation of the exit.Former students at the school include Abu Nidal, the founder of a militant Fatah breakaway organization.

The Church of the Condemnation and Imposition of the Cross (Hebrew: קפלת ההרשעה וכפיית הצלב) is a Roman Catholic church located within the Franciscan monastery that also contains the Church of the Flagellation in the old city of Jerusalem. The monastery stands at the traditional Second Station of the Cross on the Via Dolorosa.
