Chester F.C.

Deva Stadium is an association football stadium which is the home of Chester F.C., the effective successor club to the liquidated Chester City. The stadium straddles the England-Wales border at Sealand, on the outskirts of Chester. The stadium opened in 1992, two years after the closure of Chester City's Sealand Road stadium; in the intervening two seasons the club had played at Macclesfield Town's Moss Rose stadium. The name Deva comes from the original Roman name for the fort Deva Victrix, which became the city of Chester.

Saltney is a town straddling the counties of Flintshire and Cheshire on the England–Wales border. The local government community of Saltney lies entirely in Wales, while the English areas are unparished. The town forms part of Chester's built-up area and is around 5 miles from Deeside. Saltney is located next to the River Dee. In the 2001 census the population of the town was 4,769, rising to 5,132 at the time of the 2011 census.

Saltney was a minor railway station located on the Great Western Railway's Paddington to Birkenhead line a few miles west of Chester, England. Although the station is now closed, the route is still open today as part of the Shrewsbury to Chester Line.

St Mark's Church is in High Street, Saltney, Cheshire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Chester, the archdeaconry of Chester, and the diocese of Chester. Its benefice is combined with those of St Matthew, Saltney Ferry, and Sandy Lane Family Church, Lache-cum-Saltney. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

Chester Golf Club is an English golf club, located in Curzon Park, Chester, Cheshire. The club participates in competitions and inter-club matches. Set on two levels, the 18-hole parkland course is contained within a loop of the River Dee. The clubhouse has a licensed bar.

The Lache ( LAYTCH; sometimes simply Lache) is a housing estate in the city of Chester, in Cheshire, United Kingdom, with a population of around 10,000. It is located approximately 2 miles (3 km) southwest of the ancient city, with good local transport links en route to Saltney. The main streets are Cliveden Road, which runs through the centre of the estate, and Sycamore Drive. The area runs almost continuously into Westminster Park and Saltney.

Sealand Road was the home stadium of Chester City Football Club (until 1983 known as Chester Football Club) from 1906 until 1990. Although officially known simply as The Stadium, it was more commonly referred to as Sealand Road. It was much loved by supporters of Chester, who followed their team there for 84 years, and after its closure spent an hour making the journey across Cheshire to watch their team play games at Macclesfield Town's Moss Rose ground for two years before the completion of the Deva Stadium in 1992.

Blacon is a council estate on the outskirts of Chester, England. It was once one of the largest council housing estates in Europe.

Blacon railway station was located in Blacon, Cheshire, England and was part of the line between Chester Northgate and Hawarden Bridge. This line was later extended to reach Wrexham and Birkenhead.

Blacon High School, officially Blacon High School, A Specialist Sports College, is a coeducational secondary school located in Blacon in the English county of Cheshire.As a foundation school, Blacon is administered by Cheshire West and Chester Council. The school moved into a new building in 2016 as part of the Priority Schools Building Programme.Blacon High School offers GCSEs, BTECs and Cambridge Nationals as programmes of study for pupils. There are also some vocational courses available.

Westminster Park is both a suburb to the west of Chester in England, and a large park the area takes its name after. Chester residents do not consider the area as a part of the Lache (an adjacent suburb consisting largely of council housing) although the main route through Westminster Park is Lache Lane. In any case it can sometimes be difficult to tell where one suburb ends and another begins.

Saltney Town Football Club is a football club within the town of Saltney, on the border between England and Wales. They play in the Ardal Leagues North West, which is at tier three of the Welsh football pyramid.
