Blacon High School

Blacon is a council estate on the outskirts of Chester, England. It was once one of the largest council housing estates in Europe.

Blacon railway station was located in Blacon, Cheshire, England and was part of the line between Chester Northgate and Hawarden Bridge. This line was later extended to reach Wrexham and Birkenhead.

Deva Stadium is an association football stadium which is the home of Chester F.C., the effective successor club to the liquidated Chester City. The stadium straddles the England-Wales border at Sealand, on the outskirts of Chester. The stadium opened in 1992, two years after the closure of Chester City's Sealand Road stadium; in the intervening two seasons the club had played at Macclesfield Town's Moss Rose stadium. The name Deva comes from the original Roman name for the fort Deva Victrix, which became the city of Chester.

Chester Football Club is an association football club based in Chester. They are currently members of the National League North, the sixth tier of English football, and play at the Deva Stadium. The club was founded in 2010 following the liquidation of Chester City. In its inaugural season it competed in Division One North of the Northern Premier League, following a successful appeal to the Football Association against its initial placement in the North West Counties League. After winning this division, it then won the Northern League Premier Division in 2011–12 and the Conference North in 2012–13. Chester returned to the National League North following relegation in 2017–18.

Crabwall Manor (original name Crabwall Hall) is a former country house, later a hotel, in the village of Mollington, Cheshire, England. The present building dates from the 18th century. It replaced an early 17th-century house built for the Gamul family. The house was originally a "modest brick cottage" and it was refaced in the early 19th century. Figueirdo and Treuherz comment that this give it "the appearance of a toy fort". The interior was remodelled in about 1900. It has since been converted into a hotel, with extensions added in 1987. It is constructed in orange and yellow brick with red sandstone dressings. The roof is in Welsh slate and there are three brick chimneys. The building is in two storeys, with an entrance front of three bays. At the corners are octagonal towers. The central bay protrudes and forms a two-storey porch; it is supported by diagonal buttresses. The tops of the porch and towers are crenellated. The building is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

St Matthew's Church, Saltney, was in Flint Road, Saltney, Flintshire, Wales (grid reference SJ368654). The church was opened in 1911 as a mission church to the parish church of St Mark, Saltney. St Mark's Church is an Anglican church in the parish of Lache cum Saltney, the deanery of Chester, the archdeaconry of Chester and the diocese of Chester.St Matthew's was designed by the Chester architect John Douglas and built in brick with lancet windows. It was intended to have a longer nave and a tower at the northwest, but these were never completed. Its plan consisted of a broad nave and a chancel with a south aisle. In the series The Buildings of Wales, Edward Hubbard expressed the opinion that the church was "not impressive externally" although "the interior is more rewarding".After the church became redundant, it was closed on 4 June 2000. The building was destroyed by fire in December 2008.

Saltney Ferry (Mold Junction) railway station was located on the western edge of the village of Saltney, Flintshire (now effectively a suburb of Chester).

Mollington is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It is two miles north of the city of Chester, with the A41 Liverpool–Chester trunk road and Shropshire Union Canal to the east and southeast, the A540 Wirral peninsula trunk road to the south and west and the A5117 link road to the north. Nearby settlements include Backford, Blacon, Capenhurst and Saughall. At the 2011 census, the village had a population of 626.

Sealand Road was the home stadium of Chester City Football Club (until 1983 known as Chester Football Club) from 1906 until 1990. Although officially known simply as The Stadium, it was more commonly referred to as Sealand Road. It was much loved by supporters of Chester, who followed their team there for 84 years, and after its closure spent an hour making the journey across Cheshire to watch their team play games at Macclesfield Town's Moss Rose ground for two years before the completion of the Deva Stadium in 1992.

Saltney is a town straddling the counties of Flintshire and Cheshire on the England–Wales border. The local government community of Saltney lies entirely in Wales, while the English areas are unparished. The town forms part of Chester's built-up area and is around 5 miles from Deeside. Saltney is located next to the River Dee. In the 2001 census the population of the town was 4,769, rising to 5,132 at the time of the 2011 census.

Saltney Town Football Club is a football club within the town of Saltney, on the border between England and Wales. They play in the Ardal Leagues North West, which is at tier three of the Welsh football pyramid.

Saltney was a minor railway station located on the Great Western Railway's Paddington to Birkenhead line a few miles west of Chester, England. Although the station is now closed, the route is still open today as part of the Shrewsbury to Chester Line.
