Bragernes Church (Bragernes Kirke) is a parish church at Drammen in Viken county, Norway.It was designed by Ernst Norgrenn (1839-1880) in Neo Gothic style and built of brick. It was consecrated in 1871. The old Bragernes church (Gamle Bragernes kirke) was west of Bragernes square. Built in 1708, it burned down in 1866.Bragernes church is located at the end of Church Street north of Bragernes square in the center of Drammen. Bragernes Cemetery is west of the church. The tower is 64 metres (210 ft) tall. The pulpit was designed by Ernst Norgrenn, while the baptismal font was by Christian Borch. The altarpiece, Resurrection was painted by Adolph Tidemand. It was copied in many Norwegian churches. The church organ has 38 voices and was built in the romantic style of organ builder Carsten Lund Organ Builders of Copenhagen (Carsten Lund Orgelbyggeri).

Buskerud County Municipality (Norwegian: Buskerud fylkeskommune) was the regional governing administration of the old Buskerud county in Norway. The county municipality was established in its most recent form on 1 January 1976 when the law was changed to allow elected county councils in Norway. The county municipality was dissolved on 1 January 2020, when Buskerud was merged with the neighboring counties of Akershus and Østfold, creating the new Viken county which is led by the Viken County Municipality. The administrative seat is located in Drammen and the county mayor was Roger Ryberg. The main responsibilities of the county municipality included the running of the 13 upper secondary schools. It managed all the county roadways, public transport, dental care, culture, and cultural heritage sites in the county. Public transport was managed through Vestviken Kollektivtrafikk.

This court is based at four different courthouses which are located in Drammen, Hokksund, Kongsberg, and Nesbyen. The court serves the western part of Buskerud which includes cases from 16 municipalities. The court in Drammen accepts cases from the municipalities of Drammen and Lier. The court in Hokksund accepts cases from the municipalities of Øvre Eiker, Modum, Sigdal, and Krødsherad. The court in Kongsberg accepts cases from the municipalities of Flesberg, Kongsberg, Nore og Uvdal, and Rollag. The court in Nesbyen accepts cases from the municipalities of Flå, Hemsedal, Hol, Gol, Nesbyen, and Ål. The court is subordinate to the Borgarting Court of Appeal.The court is led by a chief judge (sorenskriver) and several other judges. The court is a court of first instance. Its judicial duties are mainly to settle criminal cases and to resolve civil litigation as well as bankruptcy. The administration and registration tasks of the court include death registration, issuing certain certificates, performing duties of a notary public, and officiating civil wedding ceremonies. Cases from this court are heard by a combination of professional judges and lay judges.

Drammenshallen is an indoor arena located in Drammen, Norway. It opened in 1978 and is primarily used for handball, and to a lesser extent, track and field, trade shows, exhibitions, and in the past major concerts. Drammen HK and Glassverket IF is currently the main tenant at the facility. The capacity is approximately 4,000 or 6,000 for concerts.

Strømsø is a borough of Drammen, Viken, Norway.Strømsø is located at the southern side of the river Drammenselva. Until about 1600, Stømsø was an island surrounded by the Drammenselva, but was later made landfast. In 1728 Strømsø was granted rights as a trade center by the king, and these rights were expanded to full trade rights in 1745. In 1811 Strømsø and Bragernes (on the northern side of Drammenselva) were united to form the town of Drammen. Strømsø has sports facilities, retail, office, industry and schools. Most of Strømsø consists of residential areas. At Strømsø we find Drammen railway station, being a junction for the Randsfjorden Line (connecting to the Bergen Line crossing the Hardangervidda), the Sørlandet Line (leading to Kristiansand and Stavanger) and the Vestfold Line. The main part of Drammen Harbor is situated at Strømsø. Opened in 1925, the Drammen shipyard (Drammen Slip og Verksted) was an important part of Drammen's industry until it closed down in 1986. The historic crucifix shaped church Strømsø Church (Strømsø Kirke) which was opened in 1667 is located in Strømsø. The tower of the church was not built until 1694. The church's architect was Daniel Knoff.During the first part of this century the old industrial area of Strømsø, formerly known as Grønland, has been remodeled and transformed into a Science Park (Kunnskapsparken), providing facilities for several governmental institutions such as the police authorities, County offices and the campus for Buskerud University College, Norwegian School of Management - BI Buskerud, Telemark University College (TUC) and Drammen library.
