Singkamas, Makati

The Makati Coliseum is an indoor sporting arena located in Barangay Singkamas, Makati, Philippines. Built and operated by the Makati city government, the coliseum has played host to the basketball games of the Philippine Basketball Association, the Philippine Basketball League, the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League, the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the UNTV Cup, the University Athletic Association of the Philippines, and the National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities. It has also been the venue of major boxing events, as well as conventions, concerts and sports festivals. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it has also been used as a vaccination site by the city government.

J. P. Rizal Avenue, also known as J. P. Rizal Street, is a major local avenue in Makati and Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines. It is a contour collector road on the south bank of the Pasig River that runs east–west from Pateros Bridge at the Taguig–Pateros boundary to its intersection with Zobel Roxas, Delpan, and Tejeron Streets at the Makati–Manila boundary. The avenue was named after the Philippines' national hero, Dr. José P. Rizal. J. P. Rizal extends past beneath Circumferential Road 5 into East Rembo, Comembo, and the municipality of Pateros as J. P. Rizal Avenue Extension. West of Zobel Roxas, it continues as Tejeron Street, ending at Pedro Gil Street. The eastern section and extension between Guadalupe Nuevo and Pateros was formerly called Guadalupe–Pateros Road and its section from Lawton Avenue eastwards forms part of McKinley–Pateros Road.

Zobel Roxas Street is an east-west street that forms the southeastern limit of the City of Manila, the northwestern city limit of Makati, and the northern city limit of Pasay, all in Metro Manila, Philippines. It stretches across western Metro Manila from F. Muñoz Street in the Singalong area of Malate to Tejeron Street at the district boundary of San Andres Bukid and Santa Ana. It has a short extension northeast of the Tejeron Street–J.P. Rizal Avenue junction as Del Pan Street. Zobel Roxas and other streets in the area (e.g., Alfonso, Consuelo, Enrique, Fernando, Jacobo, Don Pedro, C. Ayala and T. Ayala Streets) were named after members of the Róxas de Ayala and Zóbel de Ayala families, whose company, Ayala y Compañía, developed portions of Singalong and San Andres into residential areas in the 1930s. These areas were part of the vast Hacienda San Pedro de Macati which José Bonifacio Róxas purchased in 1851 and later developed into commercial and residential areas. Zobel Roxas was historically known as Casal Street.

San Andres (also San Andres Bukid) is a district of Manila, Philippines. San Andres shares the Estero Tripa de Gallina as its western and northern border with the districts of Malate and Paco, respectively and Pedro Gil and Tejeron streets to the east with the district of Santa Ana. It borders the cities of Pasay and Makati in the south. The area is under the jurisdiction of the Fifth Congressional District of Manila, and includes the Manila South Cemetery, an exclave of the city surrounded by land administered by Makati.

The Cobangbang Ancestral House is a heritage house in Manila, Philippines built in 1930 by Aurelio Cobangbang. It is located within the heritage zone of Santa Ana, the only district in Manila which was spared from destruction during World War II.

Vito Cruz station is a railway station located on the South Main Line in the city of Manila, Philippines. The station derives its name from the former name of the adjacent now Pablo Ocampo Sr. Street, which is Vito Cruz Street, after a former alcalde mayor of Pineda (present-day Pasay). Vito Cruz is the eighth station from Tutuban and is the last station on the South Main Line physically located in the city of Manila.

South Avenue is a short extension of Ayala Avenue north of Metropolitan Avenue in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. It forms the border between the Manila South Cemetery to the east and Barangay Santa Cruz to the west, running for 805 meters (2,641 ft) in a southwest–northeast direction from its southern terminus at Metropolitan Avenue to its intersection with J.P. Rizal Avenue in Barangay Olympia. Since 2017, it carries one-way northbound traffic, implemented as an effort to decongest traffic in and out of the Makati Central Business District. It has a short extension into Barangay Olympia and Circuit Makati (formerly the Santa Ana Race Track) as Taliba Street. It is also the location of the Ecoville Townhouses and F. Benitez Elementary School. The avenue originated from an old road linking J.P. Rizal, Makati's main road, to the Manila South Cemetery and eventually to McKinley–Pasay Road near the Nielson Field (now occupied by the Makati Central Business District). The origin of the name of the avenue is unclear, but it may be derived from the cemetery through which it passes.

The Philippines–Thailand Friendship Circle is a traffic circle in Santa Ana, Manila in the Philippines, located at the intersection of Jose Syquia, M. Roxas, Revellin, and Zamora Streets, near the Santa Ana Public Market. Originally unnamed (residents of Santa Ana simply called it the "Rotonda", and still do today), the circle was given its present name by virtue of Ordinance No. 7964, authored by Councilor Luciano "Lou" Veloso and passed in 1999, as a reciprocal gesture after a street in Bangkok was named "Soi Philippines" the year before. While initially inaugurated during the visit of Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai to the Philippines that year, renovation works on the circle would not be complete until 2002.The circle was re-inaugurated on March 30, 2009 by Mayor Alfredo Lim, in commemoration of sixty years of Philippines–Thailand relations.

Santa Ana is a district in the City of Manila, Philippines. It is located on the city's southeast, bordering the cities of Mandaluyong and Makati in the east, the city districts of Paco and Pandacan in the west, and Santa Mesa in the north. It is part of the 6th congressional district of Manila, with thirty-five barangays. Based on the 2020 national census, the Philippine Statistics Authority reports that the district has a population of 203,598.

The Santa Ana Heritage Zone is a portion of the district of Santa Ana, Manila, Philippines, that was declared a heritage zone in 2014 by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP). A larger portion of district was previously declared a histo-cultural heritage/overlay zone by the city government of Manila in 2011. Among the heritage structures in the zone is the Lichauco Heritage House, a residential building that was declared a heritage house by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines on July 10, 2010, and the Santa Ana Church, which houses two National Cultural Treasures declared by the National Museum of the Philippines: the Camarín de la Virgen, a chapel room located behind the church altar which contains the oldest dateable oil paintings in the country, and the Santa Ana Site Museum, which contains archaeological objects discovered by excavations conducted by the National Museum in 1966.

Circuit Makati is a riverfront redevelopment project by Ayala Land on the site of the former Santa Ana Race Track in Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines. The 21-hectare (52-acre) site located in the northwest portion of Makati, on the south bank of the Pasig River, is planned to contain a mixed-use entertainment complex which would include an indoor theater, a shopping mall, hotels and residential and office skyscrapers. It would also contain a football turf, skate park and an outdoor entertainment area. The development is envisioned to become the new entertainment district of Makati and the city's lifestyle hub.

Carmona is one of the 33 barangays of Makati, it is located in the northern part of the city. It is a residential area with a population of 3,109 recorded by the 2015 census. The barangay was named after Comandante Isidro Carmona, a Filipino soldier who fought during the Philippine Revolution against Spaniards. Carmona is the 2nd least populous barangay in Makati with 3,109 residents.
