The Anglican Church of St Martin in Fivehead, Somerset, England dates from the 13th century and has been designated as a Grade I listed building.The church built of Hamstone includes a three-bay nave, chancel, south aisle and porch, and a west tower.The three-stage tower dates from around 1505. It is supported by diagonal buttresses and embellished with corner pinnacles and gargoyles. There are six bells the oldest of which was cast around 1500.Within the church is a palimpsest depicting Jane Seymour. There was a gallery at the back of the nave, however this was removed along with the box pews during Victorian restoration. The Norman font has a cylindrical stem and bowl, which has an intricately decorated rim.Outside the church next to the village green is the War MemorialThe parish is within the benefice of Curry Rivel with Fivehead and Swell which is part of the Diocese of Bath and Wells.

It has been designated as a Grade I listed building.It has a tower of four stages. The embattled parapet is pierced by quatrefoils, the merlons pierced with lancet openings. The very large corner pinnacles have attached secondary pinnacles, and intermediate pinnacles to each side. The crocketted niches to each face of tower have surviving medieval figures, to west the risen Christ stepping from His sarcophagus, the Blessed Virgin with Bambino, St Peter and St Paul; to south St George, St Catherine, St Margaret; to east St John Baptist, St Clement; to north St Michael. The wealth of architectural detail and sculpture has required specific approaches to the methodology of repair and protection using lime-based materials. On the stonework are hunky punks which have been severely damaged by the weather, however one appears to be a person playing bagpipes.

The vane is supported by buttresses. The door in the south porch has a Norman, Romanesque chevron arch.The six bells were restored in 2007. The interior includes a Norman font and has a Jacobean pulpit from 1634.The church is adjacent to Swell Court Farmhouse which is also Grade I listed. In the churchyard are two chest tombs, one dated 1619, which are also listed buildings.The parish is within the benefice of Curry Rivel with Fivehead and Swell which is part of the Diocese of Bath and Wells.

Fivehead River (also known as the River Earn or Rag or Ragg River) flows through south Somerset, England. It is named after the village of Fivehead, near to two Sites of Special Scientific Interest at Fivehead Arable Fields and Fivehead Woods and Meadow.The source of the river is from various streams around Batten's Green and Ashill south west of Staple Fitzpaine, and flows east past Hatch Beauchamp and Beercrocombe where it is joined by several small tributaries. It then flows north east, past Isle Abbots, joining the River Isle north of Isle Brewers.The 18th century road bridge over the river is a Grade II listed building.

Fivehead Arable Fields (grid reference ST337224) is a 10.3 hectare (25.4 acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest near the village of Fivehead in Somerset, notified in 1990. This site has one of the most important assemblages of arable weeds in Britain, several of which are now nationally rare or scarce. There is a large population of the nationally rare Broad-fruited Cornsalad (Valerianella rimosa).

West Sedgemoor or West Sedge Moor (grid reference ST361258) is an area of the Somerset Levels, in Somerset, England, around 8 miles (13 km) east of Taunton, which approximately coincides with the West Sedgemoor biological Site of Special Scientific Interest, a 1,016 hectare (3.9 sq miles) site notified as an SSSI in 1983. It is a flat, low-lying area (approx. 5 metres above sea level) of fields and meadows separated by water-filled rhynes and ditches. It is subject to controlled flooding in winter. It is drained by the River Parrett. Part of the moor is a Royal Society for the Protection of Birds reserve. A rich invertebrate fauna is present including scarce water beetles, dragonflies and bugs. The site also supports good populations of waterfowl, especially waders. Breeding birds include snipe, lapwing, redshank, curlew, water rail, yellow wagtail and whinchat.Swell Wood, an ancient deciduous wood on the southern edge of the reserve, has one of the UK's largest heronries, which is best visited between March and June.

Burton Pynsent House is a historic country-house in the parish of Curry Rivel, Somerset, England. It is a Grade II* listed building. The house was built in stages between 1565 and 1765, when it was bequeathed to William Pitt, 1st Earl of Chatham by Sir William Pynsent, 2nd Baronet, who did not want the house to go to Lord North. Pitt had an additional wing built to a design by Lancelot Brown, and the subsequent owner demolished everything but this wing in 1805. The house was extended around this wing in the 20th century, overlooking the 98 hectares (240 acres) of formal gardens and parkland. To the northwest of the house is Burton Pynsent Monument, a 140 feet (43 m) column with an urn finial, built to commemorate Pynsent's generosity to Pitt.
