The Anglican Church of St Martin in Fivehead, Somerset, England dates from the 13th century and has been designated as a Grade I listed building.The church built of Hamstone includes a three-bay nave, chancel, south aisle and porch, and a west tower.The three-stage tower dates from around 1505. It is supported by diagonal buttresses and embellished with corner pinnacles and gargoyles. There are six bells the oldest of which was cast around 1500.Within the church is a palimpsest depicting Jane Seymour. There was a gallery at the back of the nave, however this was removed along with the box pews during Victorian restoration. The Norman font has a cylindrical stem and bowl, which has an intricately decorated rim.Outside the church next to the village green is the War MemorialThe parish is within the benefice of Curry Rivel with Fivehead and Swell which is part of the Diocese of Bath and Wells.

Royal Naval Air Station Merryfield, commonly known as RNAS Merryfield (ICAO: EGDI) is an air station of the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm located 2.7 miles (4 kilometres) north-west of Ilminster, and 8.1 miles (13 kilometres) south-east of Taunton, in the English county of Somerset, in England.

Royal Air Force Merryfield or more simply RAF Merryfield (also known as Isle Abbotts) is a former Royal Air Force station in the village of Ilton near Ilminster in southwest Somerset, England. The airfield is located approximately 7 miles (11 km) north of Chard, about 130 miles (210 km) southwest of London. It is now RNAS Merryfield and serves as a satellite to the larger RNAS Yeovilton; it is used mainly as a training facility for helicopter pilots.

All Saints Church is a Church of England parish church in Isle Brewers, Somerset, England. Designed by Charles Edmund Giles, it was built in 1859-61 and has been a Grade II listed building since 1959.

The 1945 Broadway Consolidated Liberator crash occurred on 22 November 1945 when a Royal Air Force Consolidated Liberator C Mk VIII transport crashed shortly after take-off from RAF Merryfield with the loss of all 27 on board.The Liberator (serial number KH126) was being operated by 53 Squadron on a trooping flight from RAF Merryfield to India. It failed to gain enough height to clear a hill. It struck a tree and crashed at White's Farm near Broadway Pound, six miles from the airfield. It burst into flames with the loss of the five-man crew (all but one were Polish) and 22 Army passengers.

Fivehead Arable Fields (grid reference ST337224) is a 10.3 hectare (25.4 acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest near the village of Fivehead in Somerset, notified in 1990. This site has one of the most important assemblages of arable weeds in Britain, several of which are now nationally rare or scarce. There is a large population of the nationally rare Broad-fruited Cornsalad (Valerianella rimosa).

Fivehead River (also known as the River Earn or Rag or Ragg River) flows through south Somerset, England. It is named after the village of Fivehead, near to two Sites of Special Scientific Interest at Fivehead Arable Fields and Fivehead Woods and Meadow.The source of the river is from various streams around Batten's Green and Ashill south west of Staple Fitzpaine, and flows east past Hatch Beauchamp and Beercrocombe where it is joined by several small tributaries. It then flows north east, past Isle Abbots, joining the River Isle north of Isle Brewers.The 18th century road bridge over the river is a Grade II listed building.
