Island Lake Recreation Area

Green Oak Charter Township is a charter township of Livingston County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the township population was 19,539. In September 2005, the township board voted to incorporate as a charter township, becoming the second charter township in Livingston County.

Green Oak Village Place is a power center located in Green Oak Township, serving Brighton, Michigan, United States. The mall, opened in stages between 2006 and 2008, includes six anchor stores: Barnes & Noble, Dick's Sporting Goods, DSW Shoe Warehouse, HomeGoods, JCPenney, Pier 1 Imports; Five Below; TJ Maxx and more than forty inline tenants. It is managed by REDICO.

Huron Meadows Metropark is a park in the Huron-Clinton system of metro parks. The park covers 1,576 acres (6.38 km2) along the Huron River. It has a regulation golf course, hike-bike trails and self-guided nature trails. In the winter, the park has cross-country skiing and ice-fishing.

The Alonzo W. Olds House, also known as the Albert Read House, is a single family home located at 10084 Rushton Road in Rushton, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Brighton Hospital is one of the oldest alcoholism and addiction treatment centers in North America.

Whitmore Lake is a census-designated place (CDP) and unincorporated community in the U.S. state of Michigan. The community spans the boundary between Green Oak Township in Livingston County and Northfield Township in Washtenaw County. The population of the CDP was 7,584 at the 2020 census.

The Bingham House is a single-family home located at 13270 Silver Lake Road in Brighton, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Woodland Center Correctional Facility (WCC) is a Michigan prison for male prisoners with serious mental illnesses who cannot function adequately in a general prison population.

The Huron–Clinton Metroparks system is a regional park system in Metro Detroit in the U.S. state of Michigan. The park system includes 13 parks totaling more than 24,000 acres (97 km2) arranged along the Huron River and Clinton River forming a partial ring around the metro area. Plans are in development to finish the ring by building hike/bike trails to connect all the parks as a green belt. The parks draw about 7.5 million visitors a year, down from a peak of 10 million in 2009. The park system is primarily tax-funded with a $50 million annual budget. The system provides employment for 200 full-time and part-time employees year-round and 1,000 additional summer workers. The rivers are prime fishing and canoeing streams with Delhi Metropark including a short rapids, which while runnable, is the only point other than dams on either stream normally portaged.

W.J. Maxey Boys Training School was a juvenile corrections facility that served delinquent male youths ages 12–21 years old. The facility has sixty beds and provided services to Michigan youth who require intensive or specialized rehabilitation treatment and a high level of security and structure. Maxey closed on October 1, 2015, due to budget cuts in Michigan.
