Southern Cross Hospital North Harbour is the only private surgical in-patient hospital on Auckland's North Shore, New Zealand. It is run by Southern Cross Hospitals Limited, part of the Southern Cross Healthcare Group, and was established in 1991. It is on Wairau Road in the suburb of Glenfield. The facility undertakes around 6,000 operations annually.

The Eventfinda Stadium (originally known as the North Shore Events Centre) is an indoor arena located in the North Shore City suburb of Wairau Valley, Auckland, New Zealand. The arena opened in 1992 and has a capacity of 4,179.It primarily hosts community events and was previously the home arena of the New Zealand Breakers, who play in the Australian NBL. It also hosts concerts, expos, trade shows, conferences, netball, MMA, cheerleading and dance. It has also hosted the New Zealand Badminton Open for over 10 years. In 2009, the arena hosted the final of the FIBA Under-19 World Championship. The final saw the United States defeat Greece 88–80.

South Seas Film & Television School is a higher education institution centered on the visual arts based in Auckland, New Zealand. They offer courses for full-time diplomas in Film & TV, Photography and On Screen Acting. They also offer introductory courses for Introduction to Film & TV Production, Introduction to Photography and Introduction to On Screen Acting. In May 2019, South Seas Film and Television School was rebranded under the new name “Yoobee Colleges - South Seas Film School Campus”.

Westlake Boys High School is a state secondary school for boys located in Forrest Hill, Auckland, New Zealand. The school opened in 1962, when Westlake High School (opened 1958) split into Westlake Girls High School on the existing site and Westlake Boys High School on a new site. Serving Years 9 to 13, the college has 2567 students as of February 2023.Westlake Boys considers itself to follow a 'traditional but progressive' model similar to that in operation at Auckland Grammar School.Westlake Boys now features recently constructed facilities, including a new administration block, student services centre, and large auditorium capable of holding all of the school's students and staff simultaneously. Westlake Boys Deputy headmaster David Ferguson took on the role of Headmaster of Westlake Boys High School, taking over from Craig Monaghan, a former Commonwealth Games Judo representative and referee.Westlake Boys introduced a house system at the end of 2007 where each individual belongs to one of six houses: Pupuke, Ururoto, Hood, Smale, Murchison and Stanley.

Forrest Hill is a suburb located on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand. Forrest Hill is under the local governance of Auckland Council. It was previously governed by the North Shore City Council, which amalgamated into Auckland Council on 1 November 2010.Forrest Hill Road and (ultimately) the whole suburb of Forrest Hill is named after Lt. Hugh Alexander Forrest, born in Wellington on 30 May 1893, who was killed in action on 12 October 1917, in the First Battle of Passchendaele during World War 1. The Takapuna Borough Council renamed Whites Hill Road in his honour at a council meeting on 22 October 1919, and the entire area was named after the road about five decades later.

Sunnynook busway station is the smallest station on the Northern Busway in Auckland, New Zealand. It is located in the suburb of Sunnynook. Many passengers walk to the station, one of the busiest on the busway, as it does not have park and ride facilities like the other busway stations.It has shelters, electronic real-time information and passenger drop off and pick up, but does not have ramps allowing feeder buses to enter the station. The next station southbound is Smales Farm busway station. The next northbound is Constellation busway station.

Tōtara Vale is a suburb located on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand. It is under the local governance of Auckland Council. The suburb contains Rewi Alley Reserve, which has a memorial to Rewi Alley, a New Zealander who lived most of his life in China.

Hillcrest is a suburb of the contiguous Auckland metropolitan area located in New Zealand. Since 2010, it has been under the jurisdiction of the Auckland Council, and is located in the North Shore, surrounded by Glenfield, Wairau Valley, Northcote and Birkenhead. The Auckland Northern Motorway passes to the east.

Glenfield North is a suburb located on the North Shore of the Auckland metropolitan area in New Zealand. The suburb is separated from the Auckland Northern Motorway by the Wairau Park Shopping Complex on the east, from Glenfield by Chivalry Road to the south, from Bayview by Glenfield Road to the west, and from Tōtara Vale by Wairau Road to the north.

Westlake is a suburb of the North Shore in New Zealand's Auckland urban area. It lies eight kilometres to the northwest of the Auckland CBD between the major suburbs of Milford and Glenfield. The name arises from its position on the western shoreline of Lake Pupuke.

Smales Farm busway station is a bus station in Westlake, New Zealand, on the Auckland Northern Busway. It opened on 2 February 2008, and is the second-closest busway station to Britomart Transport Centre. It has shelters, electronic real-time information on each platform, a customer service centre and passenger drop off and pick up.It is adjacent to Westlake Girls High School and the Smales Farm Office Park, which houses Sovereign, Air New Zealand and Telstra Clear. North Shore Hospital is not far away. The next station southbound is Akoranga busway station. The next northbound is Sunnynook busway station. Buses travelling via the station include double-decker buses serving the Northern Express NX1 and NX2 routes.

The Kaipātiki Local Board is one of the 21 local boards of Auckland Council, and is one of the two boards overseen by the council's North Shore Ward councillors. It covers Glenfield south to Northcote Point. Its eastern border is the Northern Motorway and its western border is the Waitematā Harbour. The board sits at the Citizen's Advice Bureau in Bentley Ave, Glenfield. AUT's Akoranga Campus is the only tertiary institution in the North Shore ward, and it is in the Kaipātiki board area.
