KKIQ (101.7 FM) is a commercial adult contemporary radio station located in Pleasanton, California, broadcasting to the East Bay area with a main focus on Southern Alameda County. Their slogan is "Your Hometown Station!". KKIQ is owned by Alpha Media, which acquired the station in 2015 and also owns KKDV 92.1 FM in Walnut Creek and KUIC 95.3 FM in Vacaville. Both KKIQ and KKDV operate from studios located in Pleasanton near Stoneridge Mall, and KKIQ has a transmitter site southeast of Livermore. It also utilizes two boosters to boost coverage: one in Hayward and one in Tracy.

Corral Hollow Pass, originally Portezuela de Buenos Ayres (Pass of Good Winds) is a low mountain pass in the Diablo Range southeast of Livermore, in Alameda County, California. This pass, at an elevation of 1600 ft, was the point where El Camino Viejo crested the range, leaving the Arroyo Seco watershed in the southeastern part of the Livermore Valley and dropping down a deep canyon into Corral Hollow near the former mining town of Tesla. The road then continued eastward along Corral Hollow Creek into the San Joaquin Valley. Today County Hwy J2 (Tesla Road/Corral Hollow Road) follows this route. This is a popular alternate route to Interstate 580 during rush hour. The name Portezuela de Buenos Ayres appears on the Diseño del Rancho Las Positas. Portezuela means "small door" in Spanish and in Mexico can mean "a pass between hills". By 1873, the name of the pass had changed and appeared on a California State Geological Survey map as Corral Hollow Pass.

Discovery Peak is a peak in the Diablo Range of California and is the highest point in Alameda County. The officially unnamed peak is also known as Valpe Ridge–Rose Flat due to its location near Rose Flat. The area is high enough to receive occasional snowfall during the winter, which generally melts within a few days of falling. Although it is on private property, the Ohlone Wilderness Trail, in Sunol Regional Wilderness, comes to within about 1 mile (1.6 km) of the summit.

Mount Wallace is a summit in the Diablo Range, in Alameda County, California. Mount Wallace rises to and elevation of 3,091 feet (942 meters).

Rose Peak is a peak in the Diablo Range of California and is the officially listed highest point in Alameda County, though other sources claim the high point is actually nearby Discovery Peak.

The Clayton-Marsh Creek-Greenville Fault is a fault located in the eastern San Francisco Bay Area of California, in Alameda County and Contra Costa County. It is part of the somewhat parallel system of faults that are secondary to the San Andreas Fault.

Cresta Blanca Winery was one of the original Livermore Valley wineries. It was founded by Charles Wetmore in 1882 with cuttings of Sauvignon blanc from Chateau d'Yquem and other top Bordeaux properties. Its first vintage, a dry white wine in 1884 won Grand Prize at the 1889 Paris Exposition, becoming the first California wine to win a competition in France. The victory also assured the future of the California wine industry, which had fallen upon hard times.
