Bermondsey Abbey was an English Benedictine monastery. Most widely known as being founded in the 11th century, it had a precursor mentioned in the early eighth century, and was centred on what is now Bermondsey Square, the site of Bermondsey Market, Bermondsey, in the London Borough of Southwark, southeast London, England.

Bermondsey Square is on Tower Bridge Road in Bermondsey, south London, England. It was the site of the 11th century Bermondsey Abbey. The earliest medieval remains found are a Norman church from around 1080, which was recorded in the Domesday Book. The area has subsequently undergone redevelopment and Bermondsey Square now contains apartments, offices, a boutique hotel, restaurants, an independent cinema and Bermondsey Market. Long Lane, leading northwest to Borough High Street, linked the Abbey with St George the Martyr church. To the west and heading north from the square is Bermondsey Street, leading to Tooley Street and London Bridge station.

Bermondsey Market (also known as New Caledonian Market and Bermondsey Square Antiques Market) is an antiques market at Bermondsey Square on Tower Bridge Road in Bermondsey, south London, England. The location was formerly the site of Bermondsey Abbey.

St Mary Magdalen Bermondsey is an Anglican church dedicated to St Mary Magdalen in Bermondsey in the London Borough of Southwark. The majority of the present building is late 17th century and is Grade II* listed.Its parish extends as far as the Thames (including the south tower of Tower Bridge, City Hall and part of London Bridge station). The parishes of St Olave Tooley Street, St Luke Grange Road and St John Horsleydown have all been merged into it.

The Fashion and Textile Museum is the only museum in the UK dedicated to showcasing contemporary fashion and textile design. The Fashion and Textile Museum was founded by in 2003, by icon of British design, Dame Zandra Rhodes. Today, the museum is operated by Newham College, London – one of Europe's largest further education colleges. Situated in the heart of fashionable Bermondsey Village, the museum is housed in a beautiful and distinctive building, designed by renowned Mexican architect, Ricardo Legorreta.

Bermondsey Project Space is a not-for-profit art gallery in Bermondsey, South East London. It was founded in 2015 as Art Bermondsey Project Space and sponsored by Olympus in association with State/F22 magazine. Located in a 3,000 sq ft converted Georgian townhouse adjacent to the White Cube Bermondsey, the gallery hosts three exhibition rooms over three floors of this former paperworks. The gallery presents a programme of exhibitions, events and out-reach educational projects, producing a publication to accompany each show in support of the gallery programme. The Gallery Director is Andrew Etherington. The Artistic Director is Mike von Joel.

The London School of Osteopathy (LSO) is an osteopathic school in London, England, that offers MOst / BOst (Hons) pathways, validated by Anglia Ruskin University (ARU). Through its partnership agreement with ARU, the LSO also has government (HEFCE) funding available for eligible students. The LSO is the only fully part-time osteopathic school to have a UK government funded integrated Masters programme in osteopathy.

In 2023, the gallery will open its first public gallery in New York, in a 1920s building spanning three floors at 1002 Madison Avenue. The Hoxton Square space in the East End of London closed at the end of 2012 and the São Paulo gallery in 2015.

M.Manze is a restaurant in the Bermondsey district of London, England. It is known for serving pie and mash with eel and was first opened in 1892. As of 2024, two other locations are operating and still run by the Manze family under the M.Manze brand, in Peckham and Sutton.

Its population according to the 2011 census was 8.17 million.Local nature reserve (LNR) is a statutory designation by local authorities which gives protection to wildlife habitats and natural features. It allows local authorities to apply local bye-laws to manage and protect sites. The local authority must have a legal interest in the site, by owning or leasing it or having a nature reserve agreement with the owner. As of January 2016, Natural England gives details of 144 local nature reserves declared by local authorities in Greater London, which are listed below.The largest site, at 97.31 hectares (240.5 acres), is Brent Reservoir, most of which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest for its breeding wetland birds, especially great crested grebes, and for its marsh plant life. The smallest is Burnt Ash Pond at 0.13 hectares (0.32 acres), an old farm pond in the middle of a residential area. The longest is Parkland Walk, a linear site of 7.2 kilometres (4.5 mi) along the route of an old railway line. Perivale Wood is one of the oldest nature reserves in Britain. It has been managed by the Selborne Society since 1902, and was designated an LNR in 1974. The newest LNRs are Coldfall Wood, Alexandra Palace and Park and Masons Field, all declared in 2013. Several sites, including Camley Street Natural Park in Kings Cross and Frays Valley, are managed by the London Wildlife Trust.
