Yongdusan Park (Korean: 용두산공원) is a park located in Jung District, Busan, South Korea. The 120-meter-high Busan Tower is located here. The park is located on a mountain, Yongdusan. The mountain previously went by the name Songhyeonsan, and the park was briefly named Unam Park. The park occupies an area of 69,000 square meters (740,000 sq ft). It has 70 different species of trees growing in it.The park has been witness to significant history especially during the 20th century, and has since been considered a symbol of Busan. It formerly hosted a waegwan (Japanese ethnic enclave) during the Joseon period, Ryūtōsan Shrine between the 17th and 20th centuries, and shanty towns of refugees during the Korean War. Many of these structures were destroyed by a number of fires. Now, a number of historical monuments and attractions are densely packed in the park, which has an elevated and scenic view of Busan.

Ryūtōsan Shrine (龍頭山神社) was a Shinto shrine in Korea. It is the earliest shinto shrine in Korea: 139  built by workers of the local Japan House trade office in 1678. Such shinto may have served a purpose of expressing and maintaining a Japanese identity outside of Japan, while the Japanese and Korean people lived relatively close during this period.It is a Kotohira shrine dedicated to Ōmononushi and the protection of sailors. In addition it, alongside all other nationally ranked shinto shrines in Korea enshrined Amaterasu and Kunitama as a pair.: 139 It was originally called Kotohira shrine (金刀比羅神社), before being renamed Ryūtōsan Shrine (龍頭山神社, Ryūtōsan Jinja).It was destroyed after the liberation of Korea. Its former site is now part of Yongdusan Park.

Busan Tower (Korean: 부산타워) is a 120-metre-high tower at Yongdusan Park, located in Jung-gu, Busan, South Korea. It was built in 1973. It is only used for entertainment purposes and doesn't have any transmitting equipment. The deck features panoramic view and a small cafe, only accessible during working hours via two high-speed elevators. The base of the tower is interconnected with a few galleries and souvenir shops. The tower is usually mentioned in tourist guides as a good place to get a view of the city's port.

Nampo Station (a.k.a. Nampodong Station) is a station of Busan Metro Line 1 in Nampo-dong, Jung District, Busan, South Korea.

Jung District (literally central district) is a gu in southern central Busan, South Korea. It has an area of 2.8 km², and a population of about 48,000.

The 1982 Busan arson attack or Busan American Council Fire Accidents (Hangeul: 부산 미국문화원 방화사건, Hanja: 釜山美國文化院放火事件) was an anti-American attack against the United States Information Service building in Busan on 18 March 1982. The attack resulted in the death of a Dong-a University student who was studying in the building; three others were injured.

The Busan Modern History Museum (Korean: 부산근대역사관; Hanja: 釜山近代歷史館) is a museum in Busan, South Korea. The building was originally constructed during the Japanese occupation of Korea for the Oriental Development Company an organisation used to support Japanese colonization of Korea. Following the liberation of Korea in 1945 it was later used as the United States Information Service and was the site of the Busan American Cultural Service building arson during student protests in 1982.

The 40-step stairway (Korean: 40계단; lit. 40 stairway) is a historic stairway in the Jung District of Busan, South Korea. It sits at one end of the 40-step Culture & Tourism Theme Street, which is a tourist attraction intended to recall the history of the area and in particular its importance to refugees during and after the Korean War. The staircase itself was known as a common location for refugees to seek reunification with their families and friends, given the lack of functional communications during the War. The 40–step stairway appears in the film Nowhere to Hide.

Jagalchi Fish Market (Korean: 자갈치시장) is a fish market in Busan, South Korea. The market is located on the edge of Nampo Port (남포항), Busan. It is considered to be the largest fish market in South Korea.The name is said to have originated from jagal (자갈; lit. gravel) because the market used to be surrounded by gravel. This is one of the ten landmarks of Busan, so many tourists visit there to shop.Various good are found in this market, which spans 3 kilometers. Near the Yeongdo Grand Bridge can be found dehydrated anchovies, sea laver, and various shellfish. Across from the city hall, shops sell herbal medicine and animal-based remedies. The market is known for their female vendors, who are called "Jagalchi Ajumma". The term dates back to the post-Korean War, when women would sell goods on the street in this area.The market hosts the Busan Jagalchi Festival in autumn. The festival’s slogan is "Oiso! Boiso! Saiso!" ("Come! See! Buy!"). Individuals can participate in singing, dancing, catching fish, and eating fresh fish.There is two floors of underground parking.

The Busan Lotte Town Tower, also known as Busan Lotte World Tower (Hangul: 부산 롯데 타운 타워) is a 108-floor, 510.1 m (1,674 ft) supertall skyscraper on hold in Busan, South Korea. The tower is planned on a site next to Nampo-dong station on Busan Subway Line 1 .The tower is the centerpiece of the new Busan Lotte Town and construction is being carried out in four phases. The first phase includes a department store, completed in 2009. During the second phase, an addition to the department store was completed in 2010. The third phase will be a market and a cinema, which was completed in 2014, and the last phase will include a luxury hotel, an observation deck, offices, and cultural facilities in a 107-story skyscraper. The design of the skyscraper is intended to resemble a standing ship, in reference to the city's harbour. The tower's underground parking space will be able to house over 2,400 cars. The tower will contain retail outlets (floors 1–11), offices (12-36), residences (41-78), a luxury hotel (82-104), and public access floors (107-110) with an observation deck. In September 2013, the construction work was stopped due to the lack of funding. As of August 2023, construction has resumed, with the facility now being estimated to be complete by 2025.

Gukje Market (Korean: 국제시장) or Nampodong International Market is a market in Sinchang-dong, Jung District, Busan, South Korea. It was originally known by the name Dottaegi Market, and later as Jayu Market. The market was founded in 1945 under the name Dotegi Market in an empty lot. It sold goods left behind by the Japanese during their departure from Korea after the Japanese Colonial Period ended. Items procured from foreign trade and with U.S Military members were also sold. This catapulted the rise of the markets business. In 1948 the name of the market changed to a free market and later to an international market in 1950. During the 1950–1953 Korean War, the market became a hotspot for commerce and culture, as people from all over the Korean peninsula sought refuge in the Busan area. Today Gukje Market spans 6 zones, 12 buildings, 24 spaces and countless vendors. The market now sells a diverse array of goods, particularly machinery tools, kitchenware, and clothing. Newer storefronts, restaurants, and attractions have been added in recent years. It is accessible from the Jagalchi and Nampo subway stations. It is within walking distance to two other markets, Bupyeong Market and Jagalchi Market.The market was famously depicted in the 2014 film of the same Korean name (English title Ode to My Father). The film is currently the fourth highest-grossing film in the history of South Korean cinema, with 14.2 million tickets sold.

Yeongdodaegyo (Korean: 영도대교, IPA: [jəːŋdodɛgjoː]) A.K.A. Yeongdodari (Korean: 영도다리, IPA: [jəːŋdodari]) is a bascule bridge in Yeongdo, Busan, Republic of Korea. It is also called Yeongdo Bridge in English. Completed in 1934, it connects Jung District ward on Busan mainland to Yeongdo District on the Yeongdo Island spanning the south port of Busan. During the Korean War, the bridge served as a site where people went to find lost family members and friends. The original drawbridge stopped functioning in 1966. It was deemed dangerous in 2003 and almost torn down, but was ultimately designated a historical monument. The drawbridge was restored and re-opened on November 27, 2013.
