Starr's Mill High School

Starrs Mill is an unincorporated community in Fayette County, Georgia, United States. It is centered at Georgia State Route 85 and Georgia State Route 74. It formed around a grist mill of the same name. A historic marker in the community reads: "The property that became Starr's Mill was owned by Hananiah Gilcoat who built the first mill here before his death in 1825. This site, on Whitewater Creek, was less than a mile from the boundary between Creek Indian lands and the State of Georgia. Hilliard Starr, who owned the mill from 1866 until 1879, gave the site its current name. After the first two log structures burned, William T. Glower built the current building in 1907. This mill operated until 1959, using a water-powered turbine, instead of a wheel, to grind corn and operate a sawmill. The Starr's Mill site also included a cotton gin and a dynamo that produced electricity for nearby Senoia."

Turtle Pond is a man-made pond feature in Peachtree City, Georgia, United States. It is incorporated as part of Braelinn Country Club. Turtle Pond is a popular recreation area in the heart of Peachtree City. Accessible through the city golf cart path network, Turtle Pond offers leisure activities such as fishing, bird watching, and model yacht sailing. In 1998, Turtle Pond became part of a nationally recognized turtle reintroduction program for Musk Turtles. The site has also been a center for ongoing reptile tagging and study programs through the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. As of 2023, a thriving colony of Musk Turtles calls Turtle Pond home.

Over a three-day period from June 22 to June 24, 2007, Chris Benoit, a 40-year-old Canadian professional wrestler employed by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), murdered his wife Nancy and their seven-year-old son, Daniel, before hanging himself at their residence in Fayetteville, Georgia, United States. Autopsy results showed that Benoit's wife was murdered first, having died of asphyxiation on the night of June 22. Nancy was found wrapped in a towel with blood under her head, although Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard reported no other signs of a struggle. The couple's son, Daniel Christopher Benoit, who also died of asphyxia, was killed as he was lying sedated in his bed on the morning of June 23. Then, on the evening of June 24, Benoit killed himself in his weight room, when he used his lat pulldown machine to hang himself. He placed Bibles near the bodies of his wife and son. Since Benoit's suicide, numerous explanations for his actions have been proposed, including severe chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), steroid and alcohol abuse, leading to a failing marriage and other personal problems. This led to numerous media accounts, and a federal investigation into steroid abuse in professional wrestling.

It is located 25 nautical miles (29 mi, 46 km) southwest of the central business district of Atlanta, in Peachtree City. This airport is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021, which categorized it as a regional general aviation facility.Owned by Peachtree City Airport Authority, it was formerly known as Peachtree City Airport or Peachtree City - Falcon Field Airport. Falcon Field was named by the first city clerk, Emelil Fancher, in honor of the Atlanta Falcons. It is the location for the National Weather Service's Atlanta forecast office, which serves almost all of northern and central Georgia. Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, Falcon Field is assigned FFC by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA.

Fayette County was established in 1821. The county seat, Fayetteville, was established in 1823. Much of Fayette County is bordered on the east side by the Flint River. Fayette County was organized in 1821 after the United States signed a treaty at Indian Springs, Georgia with the Creek people for cession of a large portion of their land. The county and its seat, Fayetteville, were both named in honor of the French aristocrat the Marquis de Lafayette, who aided General George Washington in the American Revolutionary War. Peachtree City is noted for its extensive use of golf carts. Over 10,000 households in the city own golf carts, and most areas of the city can be reached via more than 90 miles (140 km) of golf cart paths.

McIntosh High School is a comprehensive four-year public secondary school located in Peachtree City, Georgia, United States, in Metro Atlanta. As of 2016, it has an enrollment of 1,684 students in grades nine through twelve. The school, governed by the Fayette County School System, was named a Georgia School of Excellence in 2001. In 2007, it was named a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.

Lake Kedron is a 235-acre (95 ha) reservoir in Peachtree City, Georgia. It holds about 1 billion gallons of water. It is located on the north side of the city, within the village of Kedron. Recreational fishing is allowed with a license, but swimming is prohibited. Lake Kedron is a manmade lake formed by a portion of Flat Creek along with other smaller channels of water flowing into it. At its dam, Lake Kedron drains into Flat Creek, which continues through the heart of Peachtree City by feeding Lake Peachtree and then merging with Line Creek southwest of the town.
