Hooge Mierde

Hooge en Lage Mierde was a municipality in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It included the villages of Lage Mierde, Hooge Mierde, and Hulsel. Hooge en Lage Mierde existed until 1997, when it merged with Reusel to form the new municipality of Reusel-De Mierden.

Reusel-De Mierden (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈrøːzəl də ˈmiːrdə(n)] (listen)) is a municipality in the southern Netherlands. It is located in the North Brabant province, and has an area of 78.66 km2 (30.37 sq mi). It had a population of 13,127 in 2021.

Heikant is a hamlet in the municipality of Reusel-De Mierden, in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located about 1 km north of Hulsel.According to the 19th-century historian A.J. van der Aa, Heikant (or "De Heikant", "De Heykant") consisted of 8 houses and had a population of 50 in the middle of the 19th century.

Esbeek is a village with 1,200 inhabitants. It is one of the six church villages of the municipality of Hilvarenbeek, which has a total of 15,000 inhabitants. Esbeek is located on the high sandy soils in the south of the Netherlands in the province of North Brabant, on the border with Belgium. The village originated from a ring structured village around farm fields, the structure of which can still be recognized today. In addition to Esbeek, it includes the neighborhoods of 'Groenstraat' and 'Hoogeind'. The field is located on the western bank of the 'Spruitenstroompje', a stream that flows into the 'Reusel' five kilometers north of village of Diessen.It was not until 1889 that Esbeek became its own parish and a small village center arose around the church that was inaugurated in 1890. Also around this time a steam tram came from Tilburg to Poppel. The 'Oude Trambaan', a broad lane that separates the forests of the 'Rovertsche Heide' and 'Landgoed de Utrecht', is a testament to this. There was also activity in the form of a brick factory. The local brick industry was started around 1900 by the Zeebregts family, a family of masons and contractors. From 1923 there was a brick factory that worked on a larger scale. This became the largest employer of Esbeek. The activities stopped in 2008.

Baarschot (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈbaːr.sxɔt]; Brabantian: Baorschot) is a hamlet in the municipality of Hilvarenbeek in the province of North Brabant in the Netherlands. In contrast to many other hamlets in the Netherlands, Baarschot does have an official built-up area and thus also standard blue town signs. Administratively, it is part of Diessen.

In 2021, Arendonk had a total population of 13,207. The total area is 55.38 km².The spoken language is Kempenlands (an East Brabantian dialect, which is very similar to colloquial Dutch).

Bladel en Netersel is a former municipality in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It covered the villages of Bladel and Netersel. Bladel en Netersel merged with Hoogeloon, Hapert en Casteren in 1997, to form the new municipality of "Bladel".

The biggest tourist attraction is called Beekse Bergen, consisting of a safari park, amusement park/playground, holiday bungalow park, and camping parks. In the centre of the town the Sint-Petrus'-Banden is a Gothic church from the 14th and 15th centuries. The tower is a highlight of the Kempen Gothic.

Gorp is a hamlet in the municipality of Hilvarenbeek, in the south of the Netherlands near its border with Belgium. Once historically separate from Hilvarenbeek, it has become a de facto neighborhood of the larger town. Gorp was the birthplace of physician, linguist, and humanist Johannes Goropius Becanus (1519-1572), whose Latinized surname is derived from the town's name.
