Parkview Square is an office building located in the Downtown Core Planning Area, Central Region, Singapore. It is next to Bugis MRT station, Bugis Junction, and The Gateway, and straddles the Rochor Road and Ophir Road corridor. Lavender is a subzone within the planning area of Kallang, Singapore, as defined by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA). Lavender is composed of an area bounded by Tessensohn Road in the north; Balestier Road, Lavender Street and Crawford Street in the east; the Rochor River and Rochor Canal in the south; as well as Syed Alwi Road, Serangoon Road and Rangoon Road in the west.Lavender is largely commercial, even though several blocks of public housing provided by the Housing and Development Board (HDB) exist at Jellicoe Road and French Road. Notable places in this subzone include Jalan Besar Stadium, Jalan Besar Swimming Complex, Jalan Besar Community Club, the series of historic shophouses along Jalan Besar, the headquarters of People's Association, Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) Building, Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple, Mustafa Centre, Umar Pulavar Tamil Language Centre and City Square Mall. In addition, the New World Amusement Park once stood in this area. The district has not changed a lot in a city known for its frenetic urban planning, and as a source puts it, "entering Lavender is like entering Singapore in the late 1980s", where old public housing is occupied by an elderly community, with small automotive shops, hardware resellers and temples. A trend of gentrification began in around 2014, mainly along Jalan Besar. Parts of the Little India ethnic neighbourhood extends into this area. There are now many small coffee shops and music studios in this rather vintage-looking district. Lavender MRT station and Farrer Park MRT station serve Lavender subzone.

Orchard Gateway (stylized as orchardgateway) is a shopping mall in Orchard Road, Singapore, connecting Orchard Central and 313@Somerset together next to Somerset MRT station. The mall was meant to be completed in November 2013, but was delayed and officially opened on 26 April 2014. It was built on the site of the former Specialists Shopping Centre and Orchard Emerald. The mall is part of an integrated development which includes a hotel and an office tower. The hotel is built above the mall and the office tower is built above orchardgateway@emerald, another shopping mall located opposite Orchard Gateway. The hotel consists of 500 rooms and is linked to the office tower by a glass tubular overhead bridge.

Bugis+ (pronounced as Bugis Plus), formerly Iluma, is a 10-story shopping mall located 5 minutes from Bugis MRT station. It is located within the Bugis district of Singapore and opened on 28 March 2009.

library@orchard (Chinese: 乌节图书馆) is a public library under the National Library Board (NLB) of Singapore. library@orchard was first opened by Lee Yock Suan, Minister for Information and the Arts, on 21 October 1999 and located on Level 5 of Ngee Ann City on Orchard Road, in the Central Area of Singapore. It was closed on 30 November 2007 and reopened on 23 October 2014 at Levels 3 and 4 of Orchard Gateway on Orchard Road by Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister for Communications and Information, next to Somerset MRT station.

The DHL Balloon, in Singapore, was the world's second largest tethered helium balloon. It was inflated in 2006, and closed and dismantled in October 2008.

The Plaza is a high-rise commercial and residential building on Beach Road in Kallang, Singapore. The complex consists of a 30-storey residential and commercial tower and an 8-storey building housing The Plaza Parkroyal hotel. One of the Poshest residential in the center of the central, Arab street, Bugis and marina skyline facing . The tower has a distinctive triangular prism design, with each face being concave. Embassy of Zimbabwe is located on the 13th floor of The Plaza whereas the Honorary Consulate of Belarus can be found on the 16th floor of the building.

Victoria Street (Chinese: 维多利亚街) is a major two-way road in Singapore. It links Kallang Road in the northeast with Hill Street in the southwest. En route, Victoria Street passes through the planning areas of Kallang, Rochor, Downtown Core and Museum.

Arab Street (Chinese: 阿拉伯街; Malay: Jalan Arab) was the name of a road and neighbourhood in Singapore. There are two explanations behind the name. The first one is that the area was owned by an Arab merchant, Syed Ali bin Mohamed Al Junied and that it was the site of an Arab kampong, hence the name Arab Street. The Chinese referred the street as jiau a koi Javanese, in the view of the Javanese who used to be the majority inhabitants of the area. Spices, textiles, basketry items and songkoks are sold along this row of shophouses with five-foot way at Arab Street. In Tamil, Arab Street is known as pukadai sadkku (flower shops street), because of shops selling homegrown flowers, lime and other goods sold by Javanese women. In 1889, a huge fire occurred. It is also tied to the preexisting situation at the time of the nation's founding by Sir Stamford Raffles. When Raffles was planning the outline of areas to be allocated for the government, as opposed to commercial and residential use, a community of Bugis seamen and merchants were already near the Sultan's palace. He therefore allocated the area to them, near where their boats were sheltered in the river, bringing their annual cargo to a barter basis. That is how the name Bugis Street came about. The Arabs and other Muslim traders (Chulias) were also allocated to areas near Kampong Glam.
