The Julia Morgan House is a Mediterranean Revival mansion, located in the Elmhurst neighborhood of Sacramento, California, constructed by Julia Morgan, the first woman licensed to practice architecture in California. The home, now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was gifted to Sacramento State University by Charles Goethe after his death in 1966.

UC Davis Medical Center is part of UC Davis Health and a major academic health center located in Sacramento, California. It is owned and operated by the University of California as part of its University of California, Davis campus. The medical center sits on a 142-acre (57 ha) campus (often referred to as the Sacramento Campus to distinguish it from the main campus in nearby Davis) located between the Elmhurst, Tahoe Park, and Oak Park residential neighborhoods. East Lawn Memorial Park is a cemetery in East Sacramento, California. It is owned by East Lawn Memorial Parks & Mortuaries, which also owns two other Sacramento area cemeteries. Founded in 1904, it is the resting place of several former Mayors of Sacramento as well as other public figures.

UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center receives more than $100 million in research funding annually.The clinical center was opened in 2000. 48th Street is a side platformed Sacramento RT light rail station in the Elmherst neighborhood of Sacramento, California, United States. The station was opened on July 14, 1994, and is operated by the Sacramento Regional Transit District. It is served by the Gold Line. The station is located near the intersection of 48th Street and Highway 50. Included originally as part of the network, both this and the 39th Street station were deferred and not constructed in 1987 due to intense neighborhood opposition. However, both would open as infill stations in July 1994 due to a shift in attitude towards the rail project following its successful opening from the surrounding neighborhoods.

The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at the University of California, Davis was established in March 2009. The school was launched through a $100 million commitment from the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, the nation's largest grant for nursing education. The vision of the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing is to transform health care through nursing education and research. The school currently offers two degrees, the Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science in Nursing Science and Health-Care Leadership. Additional programs will be phased in over the next decade. The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing is part of UC Davis Health, an integrated academic health system encompassing the UC Davis School of Medicine, the 613-acute-care hospital and clinical services of UC Davis Medical Center and the 800-member physician group known as the UC Davis Medical Group. The school, located in Sacramento, California, is the fourth professional nursing program in the University of California system. The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing shares facilities with the UC Davis School of Medicine and the UC Davis Medical Center.

The Libby, McNeill and Libby Fruit and Vegetable Cannery was a cannery operated in Sacramento, California by Libby, McNeill, and Libby. The building is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Libby, McNeill and Libby built nine brick structures near the corner of Stockton Boulevard and 31st Street (now Alhambra Boulevard) in 1912. The undertaking was the grand sum of $1 million.The building was strategically located to provide access to two separate railways and employed around 1,000 workers.Corresponding with a decline in canned food sales in the US, Libby shut down operations in the early 1980s. A developer purchased the building soon after for $2.5 million and remodeled it into an office complex, some of which was used by state offices, departments of UC Davis Medical Center, and a fitness center. In 1991, it was valued at $30 million.

Sacramento Charter High School ("Sac High") is an independent public charter high school in the Oak Park neighborhood of Sacramento, California. Originally founded in 1856, Sacramento High is the second oldest public high school in California. In 2003, the school adopted its current form as a charter school within the Sacramento City Unified School District.

Mercy General Hospital is a not-for-profit private community hospital located in the East Sacramento neighborhood of Sacramento, CA. The hospital has 342 beds and over 2,000 clinical staff, and serves as the major Cardiac Surgery referral center for the Greater Sacramento Service Area Dignity Hospitals, as well as for Kaiser Permanente. The Mercy Heart Institute and the Mercy Stroke Center are key features of the hospital. It is a member of the Dignity Health network. In 2014, The Alex G. Spanos Heart & Vascular Center was opened. This four story addition to the hospital added: 71 private, family-friendly patient rooms, 21-bed cardiac ambulatory procedure area, 20-bed cardiac surgery ICU, dedicated Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), and a new interventional cardiac catheterization lab. With this expansion all cardiopulmonary services were brought under one roof: Cardiac Rehabilitation, Cardiac Support Unit, Cardiopulmonary Services (Respiratory Care, EKG, Echo), and Electrophysiology.

East Sacramento (also known as East Sac) is a neighborhood in Sacramento, California, United States, that is east of downtown and midtown. East Sacramento is bounded by U.S. Route 50 to the south, Business Loop 80 to the west and north, Elvas Avenue to the northeast and east, and California State University, Sacramento and the American River to the southeast. East Sacramento residential development began in the 1890s, and the area was annexed into Sacramento in 1911. East Sacramento was also home to the Alhambra Theatre. East Sacramento also includes McKinley Park and the "Fabulous Forties" neighborhood.
