Britannia Adelphi Hotel

Ranelegh Gardens was the first open space for public recreation to be created in Liverpool, Merseyside, England. It was opened in 1722 and was modelled on Ranelagh Gardens in Chelsea, which was at that time just outside London. It contained a formal flower garden, and a number of separate areas for the visitors to meet and socialise. There was a charge for admission, and a strict code of behaviour was imposed. Refreshments were available, and in the centre of the gardens was a fishpond containing carp, tench, and other fish. The gardens continued to be open until the late 1790s. The site is now occupied by the Adelphi Hotel.

Unite Grand Central (also known as Grand Central or Grand Central Halls) is a large complex of privately owned student housing located on Skelhorne Street next to Lime Street station in the centre of Liverpool, England. The buildings are owned by the property developer Unite and are primarily home to students of the University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University. Unite own several other student halls in Liverpool, including Cambridge Court, Capital Gate, Cedar House, Larch House, Lennon Studios and The Railyard. The complex is located on Skelhorne Street in the L3 district of Liverpool and consists of two separate buildings. Grand Central was constructed on the site of a former bus station and was completed in 2003. It is 13 storeys high, making it one of the city's taller halls of residences. There are 1,210 rooms in Grand Central, with three different room types (en-suite, non-ensuite and studio). On site facilities include a gym and laundrette.

Liverpool Resurgent is an artwork by Jacob Epstein, mounted above the main entrance to the former Lewis's department store building in Ranelagh Street, Liverpool. It comprises a large bronze statue and three relief panels. The current Lewis's Building was constructed for Lewis's in 1947 by Fraser, Sons and Geary to designs by Gerald de Courcy Fraser: he had also designed the previous 1920s Lewis's store that had been destroyed by bombing in the Second World War. The main 18 feet (5.5 m) high bronze statue stands on the portico above the entrance. It depicts a naked man standing on a plinth shaped like the prow of a ship projecting from the façade of the building, with left arm stretched out and right arm raised as if calling or signalling. It symbolises Liverpool's resurgence following the war, but it is nicknamed locally as either "Nobby Lewis" or "Dickie Lewis". Below the statute is a modern Egyptian-style portico in Portland stone with four giant order square columns rising three floors, framing three entrance doors. Above each door is a ciment fondu relief panel also by Epstein, installed in 1955, representing the new generation who will benefit from the rebuilding: one of children fighting, another of a baby in a pram beside a dog, and the third depicting children playing. The children are modelled on Epstein's children and grandchildren. The work was unveiled on 20 November 1956 to celebrate the centenary of Lewis's and the completion of its reconstruction works. The statue became known as a meeting place, and was mentioned in the 1962 song "In My Liverpool Home" by Peter McGovern: The store closed in 2007 and the building is being redeveloped as Central Village, with retail units, a hotel and gymnasium. It is a Grade II listed building.

The Lewis's Building is a 20th-century Grade II listed building located in Liverpool, England. Purpose-built as the flagship store for the now defunct Lewis's department store chain, the building is set to be redeveloped as part of redevelopment project Central Village.

The Futurist Cinema was a cinema located in Lime Street, Liverpool. Opened as Lime Street Picture House in 1912, the cinema operated until closing in 1982. Unable to find a new owner it was left to decline. It was demolished in 2016 after a court battle over the controversial plans for redevelopment of the area.

Renshaw Street Unitarian Chapel was a Unitarian place of worship in Mount Pleasant, Liverpool, England. It operated from 1811 until the 1890s and was particularly well frequented by ship-owning and mercantile families, who formed a close network of familial and business alliances.

The Grand Central Hall is on 35 Renshaw Street, Liverpool, England. It is now the site of the Liverpool Grand Central Hotel, Hall and Grand Bazaar Food Hall. The building is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

Central Village is a shopping, leisure, commercial and residential development that is currently under construction in Liverpool, England, United Kingdom. The complex is being built over Liverpool Central railway station, the UK's busiest underground station outside London. The core of the project is two high rise blocks of 25 and 20 floors linked by a 9-storey residential and commercial podium and two nine and five storey buildings for residential, hotel and commercial use. The development is by Merepark and is predicted to cost roughly £160 million. It is one of a number of ambitious projects to take place in Liverpool city centre in the early 21st century - other developments being Liverpool One, King's Dock, Prince's Dock, Lime Street Gateway, Metquarter and developments in the Commercial District. The proposed development includes the famous Lewis's department store building. Besides the residential, commercial and leisure aspects of the development, there will also be a number of office buildings and a large QPARK multi-storey car park - which will be the first part of Central Village to be completed in 2011. Planning permission was granted for the project by Liverpool City Council in May 2009, and final approval was given for construction of the entire complex to commence in February 2010. The entire Central Village scheme was due for completion in 2015 however is still to be completed due to a series of delays.

Lewis's was a chain of British department stores that operated from 1856 to 2010. The owners of Lewis's have gone into administration many times over the years, including 1991. The first store, which opened in Liverpool city centre, became the flagship of the chain of stores operating under the Lewis's name. Several stores in the chain were bought in 1991 by the company Owen Owen and continued to operate under the Lewis's brand name for several years, but after the closure of the Manchester store in 2001, only the original Liverpool store continued to trade under the Lewis's name. This store was sold in 2007 to the Vergo Retail Ltd and closed in 2010. Lewis's was briefly a member of the International Association of Department Stores, from 1951 to 1953.

The ABC Cinema is a Grade II listed building located on Lime Street, Liverpool, England. The cinema was once a part of Liverpool's entertainment scene until closing in 1998. Since then, the building has lain empty with plans announced in 2016 for its redevelopment into an £11 million music venue.

The Centre for Genomic Research (CGR) (Liverpool) is located on the University of Liverpool Campus, and was established by the Medical Research Council in partnership with the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC). The goal of this research centre is to provide DNA sequencing and bioinformatics services to the scientific community.

Concourse House was a 1960s high-rise tower block in the city of Liverpool, England, designed by the architect Richard Seifert. The tower was used as a backdrop to the performance art piece La Princesse. The building was built in the 1960s but was demolished in 2009, together with the shops in front of Lime Street Railway Station as part of the Lime Street Gateway development scheme.
