Ware Place is a Census-designated place located in Greenville County in the U.S. State of South Carolina. According to the 2010 United States Census, the population was 228.

Area code 864 is a telephone area code in the North American Numbering Plan (NANP) for the U.S. state of South Carolina. The numbering plan area (NPA) comprises the areas of Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, and twelve surrounding counties in upstate South Carolina. Other cities in the 864 territory include Clemson, Gaffney, Greer, and Mauldin. The area code was created in a division of numbering plan area 803 on December 3, 1995.Projections of 2021 anticipated the requirement of relief from telephone number exhaustion in the Upstate region with a new area code for 2024 or 2025. On November 28, 2022, the NANP Administrator set the implementation target for area code 821 to mid-January 2024 by creation of an all-service overlay complex, approved by the Public Service Commission of South Carolina, requiring ten-digit dialing. Permissive calling starts there. After mid-July 2024, callers continuing to dial the old method will hear recorded messages informing them to use the new method, and seven-digit local calling throughout the state will be over. Come mid-August 2024, new 821 numbers will get assigned.

The Hopkins Farm is an agricultural complex listed on the National Register of Historic Places located near the intersection of South Carolina Highway 418 and Fork Shoals Road in the vicinity of Simpsonville, South Carolina. The complex, begun by John Hopkins who purchased the land in 1834 from James Harrison, consists of the main house, a cook's house, agricultural fields, a pecan grove, eleven outbuildings and a family cemetery.

The Battle of Great Cane Brake was a skirmish fought on December 22, 1775, during the American Revolutionary War in what was then Ninety-Six District, South Carolina, modern Greenville County.

The Cureton-Huff House is located in Greenville County near Simpsonville, South Carolina on what is now known as West Georgia Road, or County Road 541. The two-story braced-frame farmhouse on a brick pier foundation was built ca 1820 for John Moon Cureton, a wealthy farmer. It was originally built in the common hall-and-parlor configuration but shortly after its initial construction, the house was altered to a central-hall configuration. Despite more modern additions to the rear of the house including a kitchen, bathrooms, dining room and office, the majority of the house has retained its original, historic Federal-period detailing.The property the house sits on includes several barns and animal pens, corn cribs, a garage, a blacksmith shop and a carriage house. A family cemetery, surrounded by a low stone wall, is also located on the property. The house and property is still owned by descendants of John Moon Cureton.

The W.S. Lee Steam Station, which was previously called the Lee Steam Station, is an electric generation station located near Williamston, South Carolina on the Saluda River. It was named for William States Lee who was chief engineer of Duke Power. He is the grandfather of William States Lee III, who was a chairman and president of Duke Power.The plant began as a coal-fired steam plant in 1951. Coal use ended in 2014. It currently has combined-cycle natural gas turbines, a natural gas boiler, and dual-fuel, simple-cycle turbines.

Fairview Presbyterian Church is a historic church listed on the National Register of Historic Places near Fountain Inn, South Carolina. The present two-story building, constructed in 1858 in the Greek Revival style, was the fourth building constructed by the church, which was founded in 1786.The building is in nearly original condition. It features white clapboard siding, a tin roof, a pedimented portico and five square masonry front columns constructed from brick reclaimed from the previous church building. The pulpit and pews are original.

The Pelzer Manufacturing Company and Mill Village Historic District is a historic manufacturing complex and associated mill village in Pelzer, South Carolina. The district includes five mill buildings constructed beginning in 1881 by the Pelzer Manufacturing Company, and a mill village with worker housing and other civic and institutional buildings. The mill housing was sold off to individuals in 1954.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

Brashier Middle College Charter High School is a public funded charter school in Simpsonville, South Carolina, United States. It is a sister campus of the main Greenville Tech campus in Greenville, South Carolina. In 2022, BMC was awarded the National Blue Ribbon Award.

Pelzer Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian church located at 13 Lebby Street in Pelzer, Anderson County, South Carolina. It was built in 1896, and is a rectangular Akron Plan church building with a gable front roof and sheathed in weatherboard. It features impressive stained and leaded glass windows and a Gothic arch entrance. A two-story, five-sided Sunday school classroom addition was built in 1905.It was built in 1896 and added to the National Register in 1993.

Pelzer is a town in Anderson County, South Carolina, United States, along the Saluda River. The population was 89 at the 2010 census, and grew to 1,344 at the 2020 census.

Air Base Speedway, originally named (and interchangeably called) Textile Speedway and Greenville Textile Speedway, was a motorsports half-mile and quarter-mile dirt track facility located south of Greenville, South Carolina. It was located south of Donaldson Air Force Base, which was active during the same time period as the track. This track eventually featured several types of racing, including motorcycles, midgets, and stock cars. Air Base Speedway, as it was then officially named, hosted one NASCAR Grand National Division race, on August 25, 1951, which was won by Bob Flock.
