Weeroona College Bendigo is an Australian co-educational secondary school, catering for students in years 7 to 10, located in White Hills, a suburb of Bendigo, Victoria. The school was formed in 1999 with the merger of White Hills Secondary College and Bendigo East Primary School.The school has an enrolment of over 700 students, supported by over 70 staff. Year 9 and 10 students have the opportunity to specialise in specific areas of interest. Year 10 students also have the opportunity to undertake some units of their Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) at the school. Most of the students who choose to go on to achieve the VCE do so at the nearby Bendigo Senior Secondary College. Weeroona College Bendigo began to be rebuilt during 2008 and was completed prior to the start of 2013. The new school buildings were officially opened on 13 October 2013 by Damian Drum.

Langley Hall is a mansion in the Federation architectural style, designed by the prolific Bendigo architects William Charles Vahland (1828–1915) and John Beebe (1866–1936). Built in 1904 as the Vahland-Beebe architectural partnership's largest commission, Langley Hall is located in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. The mansion is part of the 2.5-acre Langley Estate situated on the corners of Napier Street (Midland Highway), Lyons Street and Dundas Street in White Hills and "remains one of the most prominent landmark buildings of the city".The Langley Estate also contains a double-storey English Tudor-style residence, Langley Manor, designed and constructed in the 1930s. There is also a building formerly used as a chapel together with miscellaneous outbuildings including old stables and private courtyards.

The Bendigo Botanic Gardens, formerly known as the White Hills Botanical Garden, are Australian botanic gardens in the Bendigo suburb of White Hills, Victoria. The gardens are one of regional Victoria's earliest botanic gardens.The Bendigo Botanic Gardens were founded in 1857 after land had been reserved for the site on the 1854 plan of Bendigo.In 1925, an Arch of Triumph was erected on the Napier Street (Midland Highway) entrance as a memorial to the fallen from the First World War.

Bendigo Workshops is a railway workshop in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. It is located in the north of the city beside the junction of the Yungera and Deniliquin railway lines. The site covers 10.3 hectares of land and has 31 separate buildings, including a 10,000 sqm main workshop building and six kilometres of railway track.

Jackass Flat Nature Conservation Reserve is a 73.4 hectares (181 acres) reserve, located in Jackass Flat, a northern suburb of Bendigo in Victoria, Australia. The reserve was established in 1980 and is managed by Parks Victoria.The dominant tree species within the reserve are ironbark (Eucalyptus tricarpa), red box (Eucalyptus polyanthemos) and grey box (Eucalyptus microcarpa). Flowering shrub species include totem poles (Melaleuca decussata), violet honey-myrtle (Melaleuca wilsonii), common fringe-myrtle (Calytrix tetragona), sticky boronia, (Boronia anemonifolia), fairy wax-flower (Philotheca verrucosa), goldfields grevillea (Grevillea dryophylla), shrub violet (Hybanthus floribundus) and the rare star hair (Astrotricha linearis). Other plant species include golden pennants (Glischrocaryon behrii) as well as numerous orchids.

East Bendigo is a suburb of the regional city of Bendigo in north central Victoria, Australia, 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) north east of the Bendigo city centre. At the 2021 census, East Bendigo had a population of 2,246. A primary school was opened in 1916 and closed in 1998.

The City of Greater Bendigo is a local government area in Victoria, Australia, located in the central part of the state. It covers an area of 3,000 square kilometres (1,200 sq mi) and, in August 2021, had a population of 121,470. It includes the city of Bendigo and the towns of Axedale, Elmore, Heathcote, Marong, Raywood and Strathfieldsaye. It was formed in 1994 from the amalgamation of the former City of Bendigo with the Borough of Eaglehawk, Shire of Strathfieldsaye, Shire of Huntly and parts of the Rural City of Marong and Shire of McIvor. It is the state’s third largest economy base and is considered a service and infrastructure centre for north central Victoria. The city is surrounded by 40,000 hectares of regional, state and national parkland.The city is governed and administered by the Greater Bendigo City Council; its seat of local government and administrative centre is located at the council headquarters in Bendigo, it also has service centres located in Heathcote, Huntly, Marong and a couple of other locations within Bendigo. The city is named after the main urban settlement lying in the centre-west of the LGA, that is Bendigo, which is also the LGA's most populous urban area with a population of 99,122.

The Ulumbarra Theatre (/ʌlʌmbɹə/ uh-lum-bra) is a 953 seat theater in Bendigo, Victoria.The stage is in a Black box style and equipped with a fly system. It opened in 2015 and was estimated to cost $25,580,000 on the site of the Sandhurst Goal which closed in 2004. Bendigo Senior Secondary College and Ulumbarra Theatre share some amenities such as studios and a bar. Ulumbarra was designed by Young Lehmann & Co Pty Ltd, trading as Y2 Architecture. Principal Architects, Directors Garry Thompson and Matthew Dwyer. Bendigo Venues and events administers this and several other cultural sites around Bendigo.The word "Ulumbarra" comes from the Djadjawurrung word meaning "gather together" or "meeting place".

The Bendigo School of Mines was established in Bendigo, Australia in 1873 to provide technical education, predominantly for the mining industry. It was then known as the Bendigo School of Mines and Industries from 1883 to 1959, Bendigo Technical College from 1959 to 1967, and Bendigo Institute of Technology from 1967 to 1975. Its changes of name reflected the broadening scope of the technical education it delivered. A history of the organisation was published in 1973 – "Canvas to campus: a history of the Bendigo Institute of Technology", written by Frank Cusack. In 1975 it merged with the humanities focused State College of Victoria at Bendigo (previously the Bendigo Teachers' College) to form the generalist Bendigo College of Advanced Education (1975–1990), which became the La Trobe University College of Northern Victoria on 1 January 1991. This body maintained much academic independence from the greater La Trobe University organisation until the early 2000s. It is now La Trobe University's Bendigo Campus.

HM Prison Bendigo was a medium security prison facility located in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. Constructed in the early 1863, the prison officially closed in 2004, and has since been converted into Ulumbarra Theatre, one of the city's largest performing arts venues. Construction on the prison began in the late 1850s and was originally housed both male and female inmates before they were relocated in 1896. In 1942, the prison was handed over to the Commonwealth Government for use as a military prison, though this arrangement ended in 1947. In 1950, the facility underwent refurbishment to be reopened as a state government prison again.
