Scott's Woods Historic District

The Blue Hills Reservation Parkways are a network of historic parkways in and around the Blue Hills Reservation, a Massachusetts state park south of Boston, Massachusetts. It consists of six roadways (in seven distinct segments) that provide circulation within the park, and that join the park to two connecting parkways, the Blue Hills Parkway and the Furnace Brook Parkway. The roadway network was designed by Charles Eliot in the 1890s, except for Green Street, which was added to the network in the 1940s. The parkways were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

The Blue Hills State Police Barracks is on Hillside Street in Milton, Massachusetts. It houses the police and patrol offices of the Blue Hills Reservation, a Massachusetts state park administered by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). The 1+1⁄2-story building was designed by Stickney & Austin and built in 1904 out of Quincy granite. The building is an elongated Cape-style building, with eight bays across and three deep. The roof line is pierced by eight evenly spaced gable dormers and two chimneys.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on September 25, 1980.

The Metropolitan District Commission Stable is a historic stable on Hillside Street in Milton, Massachusetts. It was built in 1908 for the Metropolitan District Commission Police and the Massachusetts State Police mounted units in the Blue Hills Reservation. In 2004, the mounted units were disbanded and the stable was emptied. Although mounted units were reinstated in 2008, there are no plans to stable them here.The stables were added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 25, 1980.

The Chickatawbut Observation Tower is a historic tower on Chickatawbut Road in Quincy, Massachusetts, in the Blue Hill Reservation, a Massachusetts state park. Unlike Great Blue Hill Observation Tower, a similar tower at the opposite end of the reservation, Chickatawbut tower is not open to the public. The tower was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. It is named for Chickatawbut, who was a 17th-century sachem of the Massachusett Indian tribe. The tower was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Refreshment Pavilion is a historic refreshment stand at Houghton's Pond in the Milton portion of Blue Hills Reservation, a Massachusetts state park. Built in 1920, it is one of a series of architect-designed structures built in the park by the Metropolitan District Commission. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The G. H. Bent Company, better known as Bent's Cookie Factory and recognized as bakers of "cold water crackers" since 1801, was a business specializing in cookies that operated in Milton, Massachusetts for over two centuries. Bent's also sold a number of other baked goods, including their George and Martha Washington pies (both had powdered sugar on the top, the George with a cherry filling, and the Martha with a lemon filling). In 2017, Bent's expanded its menu to include a variety of sandwiches named after Milton-based themes and discontinued baking their signature hardtack crackers. Soon thereafter, the business closed and the original 1801 mill turned into a mixed use residential and commercial space.

Milton High School is a public high school located in Milton, Massachusetts, United States, educating grades 9 through 12 with over a thousand students enrolled.

The Eustis Estate is a historic family estate on Canton Avenue in Milton, Massachusetts. Its centerpiece is the mansion house of William Ellery Channing Eustis, an eclectic Late Victorian stone building designed by preeminent architect William Ralph Emerson and constructed in 1878. The estate also includes several other houses associated with the Eustis family, and a gatehouse and stable historically associated with the main estate. The estate was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a historic district in 2016. Most of the original estate is owned by Historic New England, and was opened to the public as a museum property in 2017.

The Milton Centre Historic District encompasses the traditional civic heart of Milton, Massachusetts. The district is located on Canton Avenue between Readsdale Road and Thacher and Highland Streets, and includes municipal buildings, churches, and residences, most built in the 18th or 19th century. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Milton is a town in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States and a suburb of Boston. The population was 28,630 at the 2020 census. Milton is the birthplace of former U.S. President George H. W. Bush, and architect Buckminster Fuller. Milton was ranked by Money as the 2nd, 7th, 8th, and 17th best place to live in the United States in 2011, 2009, 2019, 2021, and 2022 respectively.Milton is located in the relatively hilly area between the Neponset River and Blue Hills, bounded by Brush Hill to the west, Milton Hill to the east, Blue Hills to the south and the Neponset River to the north. It is also bordered by Boston's Dorchester and Mattapan neighborhoods to the north and its Hyde Park neighborhood to the west; Quincy to the east; Randolph to the south, and Canton to the west.

The Suffolk Resolves House is the building where the Suffolk Resolves were signed on September 4, 1774. The Resolves were an important predecessor document to the 1774 Continental Association and the 1776 Declaration of Independence. At that time, it was owned by Daniel Vose, who at his marriage had combined two existing buildings to make one house. The two parts are shown in the two gallery photographs. The oldest framing beams have been dated using dendrochronology which indicates that the trees used in the oldest portion of the house were felled in 1763.To prevent its demolition in 1950, Dr. James Bourne Ayer and Hannah Ayer moved it from its original location on Adams Street (where Citizens Bank now is) to its present location. They had it restored by William Morris Hunt and later gave it to the Milton Historical Society, for which it serves as headquarters.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 23, 1973.
