Milton High School is a public high school located in Milton, Massachusetts, United States, educating grades 9 through 12 with over a thousand students enrolled.

The G. H. Bent Company, better known as Bent's Cookie Factory and recognized as bakers of "cold water crackers" since 1801, was a business specializing in cookies that operated in Milton, Massachusetts for over two centuries. Bent's also sold a number of other baked goods, including their George and Martha Washington pies (both had powdered sugar on the top, the George with a cherry filling, and the Martha with a lemon filling). In 2017, Bent's expanded its menu to include a variety of sandwiches named after Milton-based themes and discontinued baking their signature hardtack crackers. Soon thereafter, the business closed and the original 1801 mill turned into a mixed use residential and commercial space.

Milton is a town in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States and a suburb of Boston. The population was 28,630 at the 2020 census. Milton is the birthplace of former U.S. President George H. W. Bush, and architect Buckminster Fuller. Milton was ranked by Money as the 2nd, 7th, 8th, and 17th best place to live in the United States in 2011, 2009, 2019, 2021, and 2022 respectively.Milton is located in the relatively hilly area between the Neponset River and Blue Hills, bounded by Brush Hill to the west, Milton Hill to the east, Blue Hills to the south and the Neponset River to the north. It is also bordered by Boston's Dorchester and Mattapan neighborhoods to the north and its Hyde Park neighborhood to the west; Quincy to the east; Randolph to the south, and Canton to the west.

Blue Hills Parkway is a historic parkway that runs in a straight line from a crossing of the Neponset River, at the south border of Boston to the north edge of the Blue Hills Reservation in Milton, Massachusetts. It was built in 1893 to a design by the noted landscape architect, Charles Eliot, who is perhaps best known for the esplanades along the Charles River. The parkway is a connecting road between the Blue Hills Reservation and the Neponset River Reservation, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.The parkway's northern terminus is a six-way intersection in southern Mattapan, a neighborhood in the far south of Boston. The junction includes River Street (which passes through the intersection), Cummins Highway, Blue Hill Avenue, and the access road for the Mattapan MBTA station. Both Blue Hill Avenue and the parkway are designated Massachusetts Route 28 at this intersection. The parkway almost immediately crosses the Neponset River and then into Milton. Brush Hill Road branches west, and Blue Hill Avenue branches to the southwest (designated Massachusetts Route 138), and a short distance later Brook Road carries the Route 28 designation off to the east. It passes through a residential area, crosses Pine Tree Brook, and soon reaches its southern terminus, a rotary intersection (this is not a rotary any longer, it is a regular 4-way intersection with overhead stoplights as of at least 2015) with Canton Street and Unquity Road (the latter being listed as part of the Blue Hills Reservation Parkways). The parkway is about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) long.The parkway was laid out in 1894, and was one of the first connecting parkways designed by Eliot and the Olmsted Brothers. Land acquisition began in 1896, and construction took place in 1898. The Neponset River bridge was built 1901-03 Its major features include the Neponset River bridge, a granite-faced triple arch structure carrying six lanes of traffic. The complex of junctions on the south side is landscaped with a series of median islands and miters. The roadway is eight lanes in this area, allowing for turning lanes, and there is a c. 1823 granite mile marker in the grassy area on the west side of the roadway. South of the Truman Parkway interchange the road becomes six lanes, which reduce to five (two south and three north) after the Brook Road junction. The roadway for the southern stretch is canopied by trees that line the center median strip and the sides.

Valley Road station is a light rail station in Milton, Massachusetts. It serves the MBTA's Ashmont–Mattapan High-Speed Line, a branch of the Red Line. The station is located off Eliot Street near Valley Road and consists of two side platforms that serve the lines's two tracks. Valley Road is the only station on the Line that is not accessible.

Capen Street station is a light rail station in Milton, Massachusetts. It serves the MBTA Ashmont–Mattapan High Speed Line. It is located on Capen Street off Eliot Street; the westernmost of the four MBTA stations in Milton, it consists of two side platforms flanking the eponymous street's grade crossing. The platforms are staggered to allow trains to make the stop at Capen Street before crossing the street itself, as there is no signal at the grade crossing. Capen Street is accessible via wooden ramps on both platforms. Capen Street opened in September 1930 as an infill station on the line.

Gov. Thomas Hutchinson's Ha-ha is a historic ha-ha at 100–122 Randolph Avenue in Milton, Massachusetts, United States. The ha-ha (a sunken wall which permits unblocked views, while still serving functions of a wall such as delineating a border and preventing livestock from crossing) was constructed by then-Acting Governor Thomas Hutchinson in the early 1700s, when the land was part of his extensive Milton estate. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, and is a contributing property to the Milton Hill Historic District.The ha-ha, which is of modest size, is now on the grounds of St. Michael's Church at 100 Randolph Avenue, approximately one block from Governor Hutchinson's Field, a property of The Trustees of Reservations. Park on the street and walk in the driveway to the left (north) of the church. The ha-ha, with a descriptive sign, is on the right before the bend of the driveway.

The Milton Hill Historic District is a historic district in Milton, Massachusetts. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.The Milton Hill area first became prominent in the 1740s as the estate of Thomas Hutchinson, a prominent politician whose actions as Acting Governor and Governor of the Province of Massachusetts Bay heightened tensions leading to the American Revolutionary War. He left the province in 1774, and his estate was eventually confiscated by the state. It has since then been a fashionable residential area of the town. It includes the Captain Robert Bennet Forbes House, a National Historic Landmark, as well as the Dr. Amos Holbrook House and Governor Hutchinson's Ha-ha, both separately listed on the National Register of Historic Places.Governor Thomas Hutchinson's Field, owned by The Trustees of the Reservations, lies in the middle of the district and offers sweeping views of Boston and the South Shore.

The Lower Neponset River Trail is a 2.4-mile-long (3.9 km) rail trail running along the Neponset River in the Dorchester section of Boston, Massachusetts. It roughly follows the path of the eastern part of the Dorchester and Milton Branch Railroad from the Port Norfolk neighborhood in Dorchester to the Central Avenue T Station in Milton, passing through Pope John Paul II Park, the Neponset Marshes, and the Lower Mills area.

Central Avenue station is a light rail station located off Central Avenue near Eliot Street in Milton, Massachusetts. It serves the Ashmont–Mattapan High Speed Line, a branch of the MBTA Red Line. Central Avenue consists of two side platforms which serve the Ashmont–Mattapan High Speed Line's two tracks.

The Dr. Amos Holbrook House is a historic house at 203 Adams Street in Milton, Massachusetts, across from Governor Hutchinson's Field. The two-story wood-frame house was built in 1800 by Dr. Amos Holbrook, a pioneer in the propagation of smallpox inoculations as a means of improving public health. The house has retained may interior finish details from the Federal period. It was expanded to the rear in 1872, at which time its front portico was added. The property also includes a c. 1810 barn.The house listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, and was included in the Milton Hill Historic District in 1995.
