Munger is an unincorporated community in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. Munger is a crossroads with no buildings, no housing, and no population. It is named after the Canadian National railroad siding which starts just west of Illinois Route 59, and goes west 6,125 feet. Munger Road crosses it almost right in the middle of the siding, about 1/2 mile south of Stearns Road.

Bartlett is a commuter railroad station in Bartlett, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago. The station is 30.1 miles (48.4 km) away from Chicago Union Station, the eastern terminus of the line. It is served by Metra's Milwaukee District West Line, with service to Union Station in downtown Chicago, and northwest to Elgin. As of 2018, Bartlett is the 53rd busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 988 weekday boardings. Travel time to Union Station ranges from 51 minutes to 1 hour and 11 minutes, with faster times on peak trains. As of December 12, 2022, Bartlett is served by 42 trains (20 inbound, 22 outbound) on weekdays, by all 24 trains (12 in each direction) on Saturdays, and by all 18 trains (nine in each direction) on Sundays and holidays. The station is at South Oak Avenue and West Bartlett Avenue in downtown Bartlett.

Mallard Lake Landfill is a solid waste landfill in DuPage County, Illinois, west of Mallard Lake. In 1974, the DuPage County Forest Preserve District established a solid waste landfill west of the lake. The landfill began operation March 4, 1975 and the last load of waste arrived March 13, 1999. The landfill occupies 230 acres (0.9 km2) and rises to 982 feet (299.3 m) MSL making it the highest point in DuPage County. In 1994, the district contracted with Browning-Ferris Industries (BFI) for landfill gas extraction rights and electricity production with operations beginning November 1997. The district received royalties from the landfill gas of $71,276 in 2006 and $145,973 in 2005.On April 20, 2006, Tyanna and Jeff Cannata of West Chicago, filed a class action lawsuit against the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County, the owner of the Mallard Lake landfill and Browning-Ferris Industries (BFI), operator of the landfill, claiming that the landfill was the source of a carcinogenic contaminant, vinyl chloride, found in the well water in Carol Stream, Hanover Park, Bartlett, and Wayne Township. The lawsuit was given class action status on behalf of 150 residents on October 11, 2006.In July 2006, the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency stated that many years of groundwater testing surrounding the landfill indicated no evidence of contamination and that during recent testing, no volatile organic compound contamination was found in about 103 down gradient private wells. Joe Benedict, environmental services manager for DuPage County Forest Preserve District reported that, based on the EPA results, there was no contamination. The DuPage County Health Department also tested 87 wells and found no vinyl chloride contamination.In October 2007, methane gas was found in probes installed around the boundaries of the Mallard Lake Landfill in DuPage County, Illinois.

Wheaton Academy (WA) is a private, Christian, co-educational high school in West Chicago, Illinois, which was established as part of the Illinois Institute by a group of evangelical abolitionists in 1853. The Illinois Institute was reorganized into Wheaton College and Wheaton College Academy, a preparatory school, in 1860. Wheaton Academy established an independent campus in West Chicago in 1945.

Wayne is a village in DuPage and Kane counties, Illinois, United States. The eastern portion, in DuPage County, is in Wayne Township, while the western portion, in Kane County, is in St. Charles Township. The population was 2,286 as of the 2020 census.In the late 19th and early 20th century, Wayne was a prominent center of horse breeding and farming research. The community, situated in a small, rural valley, was known for breeding French Percheron horses, a draught horse similar to a Clydesdale. Wayne was founded in the 1800s at the same time as the similarly named Wayne Center. Wayne Center was located on Army Trail Road at DuPage River crossing and no longer exists. "Downtown" Wayne was originally a railroad outpost built along Glos Street and Army Trail Road. The village is much smaller than the cities that surround it. This is partially due to the native Oak savanna landscape between the DuPage and Fox rivers, with Tallgrass prairies that retain a large amount of water in the spring season. The village is surrounded by these prairies on three sides, and has taken steps to maintain them in their natural state.
