The Land of Arlon (Luxembourgish/German: Arelerland, Luxembourgish pronunciation: [ˈaːʀəlɐlɑnt], German: [ˈaːʁəlɐlant]; French: Pays d'Arlon, French pronunciation: [pe.i daʁlɔ̃]; Dutch: Land van Aarlen [ˌlɑnt fɑn ˈaːrlə(n)]) is the traditionally Luxembourgish-speaking part of Belgian Lorraine, which is now predominantly French-speaking. Arlon is the main city of this region. The area has borders with the Gaume to the west and with the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg to the east. It lies to the south of the Ardennes. It coincides largely with the arrondissement of Arlon, part of the province of Luxembourg.

In 1794 the Battle of Arlon covers two separate episodes of the French Revolutionary Wars, one in April and the other in May, both at the stronghold of Arlon (also fought over at the First Battle of Arlon the previous year). Both engagements pitched the French general Jean-Baptiste Jourdan against the Austrian general Johann von Beaulieu.

The Battle of Arlon (9 June 1793) saw a French Republican force under the command of Amable Henri Delaage face the Austrian force led by Gottfried von Schröder. The French were victorious though they suffered higher casualties than the Austrians. The action was fought during the War of the First Coalition, part of the larger French Revolutionary Wars. Arlon is located in Belgium, a distance of 30 kilometres (19 mi) west of Luxembourg city.

The Arlon Synagogue is synagogue the Belgian town of Arlon. Built in 1863 and inaugurated in 1865, it was the first synagogue built in Belgium. Today religious services are rare, as the majority of Jews have left Arlon. The synagogue was spared destruction during the Second World War, but the building was turned into a straw depot. The synagogue's concierge kept the Torah scroll safe during the war. In 2005, the synagogue was classified as a Major Heritage Building of Wallonia.Between 2014 and 2019, the synagogue was closed, requiring major structural renovations.

The Arrondissement of Arlon (French: Arrondissement d'Arlon; Dutch: Arrondissement Aarlen; German: Bezirk Arlon) is one of the five administrative arrondissements in the Walloon province of Luxembourg, Belgium. It is an administrative arrondissement not to be confused with the exctint judicial arrondissement of Arlon, also comprising the municipalities of the Arrondissement of Virton.

Bonnert (French pronunciation: [bɔnεʁt]; Luxembourgish: Bunnert) is a sub-municipality of the city of Arlon located in the province of Luxembourg, Wallonia, Belgium. It was a separate municipality until 1977. On 1 January 1977, it was merged into Arlon.
