The boulevard has a majestic, manicured appearance, with traffic lanes separated by a 60 foot median strip once a roadbed for streetcar tracks.It includes examples of Renaissance, Georgian, and Jacobean architecture.There are 94 contributing buildings, including the St. Paul's Episcopal Church.Major architects represented include Walker and Weeks, Small and Rowley, Meade and Hamilton, Frederick Striebinger and Charles Schneider.

The Euclid Golf Allotment, also known as the Euclid Golf Historic District, is a historic district located in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, in the United States. Roughly bounded by Cedar Road, Coventry Road, West St. James Parkway, and Ardleigh Drive, the 142-acre (0.57 km2) site contains primarily residential homes built between 1913 and 1929. The historic district is built on land formerly owned by John D. Rockefeller and at one time leased to the Euclid Golf Club for its back nine holes, and it takes its name from this historic factoid. The Euclid Golf Allotment is a largely undisturbed example of an early 20th century planned community containing American Craftsman, Colonial Revival, French Renaissance Revival, Italian Renaissance Revival, Prairie School, Shingle Style, and Tudor Revival architecture. The Euclid Golf Allotment was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. The Euclid Golf Allotment includes the western half of the Fairmount Boulevard District, another national historic district established in 1976.

The Nature Center at Shaker Lakes is a nonprofit organization in Shaker Heights, Ohio, that works to conserve a natural area, educate visitors about nature, and promote better environmental stewardship. It was founded in 1966 as the result of a volunteer effort to preserve the Shaker Parklands from becoming the route for a new freeway connecting Cleveland's east side to Downtown Cleveland. The nature center offers curriculum-related school programs, including an early childhood program for several east side school districts and the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. Walkers, runners, and birdwatchers use the trails for exercise and recreation. The center is home to many wildlife and plant species living in a variety of natural habitats, including marsh, brook, field, forest, and ravine.

The Alcazar Hotel is a historic building in the Cedar-Fairmount district of Cleveland Heights, Ohio. The hotel was built in 1923 in the Spanish-Moorish style, based on hotels such as the Alcazar and Ponce de Leon in St. Augustine, Florida. The interior courtyard, with a covered arcade, is decorated with colored glazed tiles and a central fountain. The architect was Harry T. Jeffery; sculpture, decorative plasterwork, and fountain was done by Fischer and Jirouch. Prominent guests included Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Mary Martin, Bob Hope, Jack Benny, Lupe Vélez and Johnny Weissmueller. It has been said that Cole Porter wrote the iconic song "Night and Day" while staying at the hotel. The Alcazar was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 17, 1979. The Alcazar Hotel is also a Cleveland Heights Landmark.In 1963, the hotel was sold to Western Reserve Associates, and partially converted into a retirement home, with the remainder still used as a hotel. In September 2014, the Alcazar was sold by Western Reserve to Kirt Montlack Ltd. for $1.3 million. The developer eliminated the lodging units and converted the building entirely to apartments. In July 2022, the building was sold for $2.6 million to RP Derbyshire LLC, headed by Rico Pietro and Erik Loomis. The new owners announced plans to restore the original hotel lobby, dining room and other common areas on the ground floor.

The Woodland-Larchmere Commercial Historic District is a historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015. It is spans the border of Cleveland, Ohio and Shaker Heights, Ohio, in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. The process to achieve National Register listing was a "'long haul'" according to Charles "Chip" Bromley, director of the Shaker Square Alliance and the Ohio Fair Lending Coalition.The district was deemed to be "a well intact urban neighborhood commercial corridor which maintains a high level of historic architectural integrity throughout the District. This is exhibited in the various types and styles of commercial buildings which span from 1904-1965 and through the retention of historic architectural elements, fabric, materials, and craftsmanship. The historic commercial buildings located along Larchmere Avenue in both Shaker Heights and Cleveland maintain their historic setting, feeling and design associated with the historic character as noted in historic images of the buildings in their historic setting."The listing included 67 contributing buildings and 12 non-contributing ones.

Fairhill Road Village (called locally "Belgian Village") is a small housing development on the border of Cleveland and Cleveland Heights, Ohio.As Fairhill Road Village Historic District it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.The village is a small planned community, a collection of five pairs of semi-detached buildings and three separate dwellings, designed in English Cotswold style.It was designed by landscape architect A. Donald Gray with architects Antonio DiNardo and H. O. Fullerton.It includes 12 contributing buildings and Tudor Revival architecture.
