St. Paul's Episcopal Church is a parish of the Episcopal Church in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. The current rector is the Rev. Jeanne Leinbach, installed on October 23, 2015. She is the first female rector of St. Paul's. Her predecessor was the Rev. Alan M. Gates, who served from 2004–2014, before his election as Bishop of Massachusetts. St. Paul's is a leading church and has the largest congregation in the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio.The church building is a Cleveland Heights landmark. Located at 2747 Fairmount Blvd, it is a contributing property in the Fairmount Boulevard District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.St. Paul's was first established in the city of Cleveland, Ohio on October 26, 1846. The congregation did not have its own building until 1851, as a frame building completed in 1849 burned completely. A small brick church in the Gothic Revival style was completed for the parish at Euclid and Sheriff (East 4th) Streets by 1858. St. Paul's congregation outgrew the church, however, as well as a subsequent building at East 40th Street (later sold to the Roman Catholic Church, and renamed the Church of the Conversion of St. Paul the Apostle in 1930). The first service at St. Paul's, Cleveland Heights, was on April 25, 1928. The church was designed by J. Byers Hayes of Walker & Weeks in the English Gothic style. The present nave was dedicated in 1951. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke there in May 1963 (months before the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom). The early music instrument ensemble Apollo's Fire recorded their 2018 album Songs of Orpheus at St. Paul's. The album won the 2019 Grammy Award for Best Classical Vocal Solo.

The Fairmount Boulevard District is a 130-acre (53 ha) historic district in Cleveland Heights, Ohio that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.The district is a cohesive area of upper-income suburban development dating from the World War I era. The boulevard has a majestic, manicured appearance, with traffic lanes separated by a 60 foot median strip once a roadbed for streetcar tracks.It includes examples of Renaissance, Georgian, and Jacobean architecture.There are 94 contributing buildings, including the St. Paul's Episcopal Church.Major architects represented include Walker and Weeks, Small and Rowley, Meade and Hamilton, Frederick Striebinger and Charles Schneider.

The Alcazar Hotel is a historic building in the Cedar-Fairmount district of Cleveland Heights, Ohio. The hotel was built in 1923 in the Spanish-Moorish style, based on hotels such as the Alcazar and Ponce de Leon in St. Augustine, Florida. The interior courtyard, with a covered arcade, is decorated with colored glazed tiles and a central fountain. The architect was Harry T. Jeffery; sculpture, decorative plasterwork, and fountain was done by Fischer and Jirouch. Prominent guests included Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Mary Martin, Bob Hope, Jack Benny, Lupe Vélez and Johnny Weissmueller. It has been said that Cole Porter wrote the iconic song "Night and Day" while staying at the hotel. The Alcazar was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 17, 1979. The Alcazar Hotel is also a Cleveland Heights Landmark.In 1963, the hotel was sold to Western Reserve Associates, and partially converted into a retirement home, with the remainder still used as a hotel. In September 2014, the Alcazar was sold by Western Reserve to Kirt Montlack Ltd. for $1.3 million. The developer eliminated the lodging units and converted the building entirely to apartments. In July 2022, the building was sold for $2.6 million to RP Derbyshire LLC, headed by Rico Pietro and Erik Loomis. The new owners announced plans to restore the original hotel lobby, dining room and other common areas on the ground floor.

Fairhill Road Village (called locally "Belgian Village") is a small housing development on the border of Cleveland and Cleveland Heights, Ohio.As Fairhill Road Village Historic District it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.The village is a small planned community, a collection of five pairs of semi-detached buildings and three separate dwellings, designed in English Cotswold style.It was designed by landscape architect A. Donald Gray with architects Antonio DiNardo and H. O. Fullerton.It includes 12 contributing buildings and Tudor Revival architecture.

The Woodland-Larchmere Commercial Historic District is a historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015. It is spans the border of Cleveland, Ohio and Shaker Heights, Ohio, in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. The process to achieve National Register listing was a "'long haul'" according to Charles "Chip" Bromley, director of the Shaker Square Alliance and the Ohio Fair Lending Coalition.The district was deemed to be "a well intact urban neighborhood commercial corridor which maintains a high level of historic architectural integrity throughout the District. This is exhibited in the various types and styles of commercial buildings which span from 1904-1965 and through the retention of historic architectural elements, fabric, materials, and craftsmanship. The historic commercial buildings located along Larchmere Avenue in both Shaker Heights and Cleveland maintain their historic setting, feeling and design associated with the historic character as noted in historic images of the buildings in their historic setting."The listing included 67 contributing buildings and 12 non-contributing ones.

Coventry Village is a commercial business district in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, situated on Coventry Road between Mayfield Road (U.S. Route 322) and Euclid Heights Boulevard. Coventry is associated with Northeast Ohio's artistic, musical, bohemian, hippie and emerging hipster communities and is the center of Cleveland's creative class, inviting comparisons to the Haight-Ashbury district in San Francisco and Greenwich Village in New York City, although on a smaller scale.

Coventry station is a stop on the RTA light rail Green Line on the border between Cleveland and Shaker Heights, Ohio, located in the median of Shaker Boulevard (Ohio State Route 87) at its intersection with Coventry Road, after which the station is named.

Buckeye–Shaker is a neighborhood on the East Side of Cleveland, Ohio. It encompasses two sub neighborhoods: in its south and west, the old Buckeye neighborhood; and in its northeast, the Shaker Square neighborhood, which is centered on an historic shopping district and an eponymous rapid transit station, located at the intersection of Shaker and Moreland Boulevards, on the light rail line that connects the city of Shaker Heights to downtown Cleveland. From the early to mid-20th century, the Buckeye Road neighborhood was known as "Little Hungary", serving as the historic heart of Cleveland's Hungarian community, which at one time was the largest in the world outside of Hungary and for years has been almost completely African-American. Shaker Square, continues to be known as one of Cleveland's most notable neighborhoods, in terms of shopping, dining, architecture, the education of its residents, participation in civic life, diversity, and quality of living.Buckeye-Shaker is bordered by the neighborhoods of Woodland Hills on its west, Mount Pleasant to the south, University Circle to the north, and the suburb of Shaker Heights to the east.

The James A. Garfield Memorial is a memorial for and the final resting place of assassinated President James A. Garfield, located in Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio. The memorial, which began construction in October 1885 and was dedicated on May 30, 1890, exhibits a combination of Byzantine, Gothic, and Romanesque Revival architectural styles. Garfield, former First Lady Lucretia Garfield, and two other members of the Garfield family are entombed in the crypt level of the monument. The monument was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Shaker Square station is a station on the RTA Blue and Green Lines in Cleveland, Ohio, located in the median of Shaker Boulevard (Ohio State Route 87) at its intersection with Shaker Square, after which the station is named. It is the first station west of the junction of the Blue and Green Lines and serves as a transfer point between the two lines. It marks the dividing point between the line's grade-separated portion and its at-grade portion, with trains running on a grade-separated right-of-way west of this station to Tower City and running at-grade in the medians of Van Aken Boulevard (Blue) and Shaker Boulevard (Green) east of this station.

Drexmore station is a station on the RTA Blue Line in Cleveland, Ohio, located in the median of Van Aken Boulevard at its intersection with Drexmore Road, after which the station is named.

Halle Brothers building at Shaker Square is a former department store building constructed in 1948 for the Halle Brothers Co. in the Shaker Square section of Cleveland, Ohio. Designed by architect Robert A. Little, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
