Glen Echo is a historic plantation house near Ellabell, Georgia, United States. The house was built circa 1773 and is an early example of Plantation Plain style. Records show that the land of Glen Echo Plantation was granted in the colonial era through a king's grant to a member of the Bird family. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

The Meldrim trestle disaster occurred at Meldrim, Georgia, on June 28, 1959. Involved was a Seaboard Air Line mixed freight train that derailed over the Ogeechee River. Loaded LPG tank cars from the train plunged into the river below and ruptured. Blitchton is an unincorporated community in Bryan County, Georgia, United States. It is part of Savannah–Hinesville–Statesboro Combined Statistical Area. Blitchton is located about 25 miles west of Savannah, Georgia, and 2 miles northeast of Interstate 16. It is centrally located where U.S. Route 280 ends at an intersection with U.S. Route 80, Georgia State Route 26, and Georgia State Route 30.

It provides the radio service of Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) serves the upper Georgia coast and areas well inland, and adjacent areas of far southern South Carolina. The station's signal is simulcast by GPB-owned WWIO-FM 88.9 in Brunswick, Georgia. Together, the two stations serve the entire Georgia coastline. Their signals can be heard from Beaufort, South Carolina to Fernandina Beach, Florida.

The Bryan County Courthouse is located in Pembroke, Georgia and was built in 1938 in the Neoclassical Revival style, after Pembroke became the county seat of Bryan County in 1937. It is the third courthouse built for the county. The interior of the building has a cross plan, with entrances on all four sides. Annexes were built in 1969, 1990, and 1993. At the time of construction, it was the most modern and elaborate building in the city.The courthouse is one of 19 courthouses built in Georgia between 1930 and 1945. It is one of seven Georgia courthouses from that period that are not documented as having been funded by depression-era federal government programs. However, the establishment of Fort Stewart caused the county seat to be moved, so the Department of Defense probably covered the cost.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. It is also part of the Pembroke Historic District, on the NRHP. The courthouse was damaged on April 5, 2022, when a tornado touched down near the courthouse and passed through the city of Pembroke at EF2 intensity. The tornado went on to strike Black Creek at mid-range EF4 intensity, killing one person and injuring 12 others.
