Babcock Block

Colton's Block is an historic series of commercial buildings at 586-590 Main Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. Built in the 1860s, it consists of three separate yet similarly-styled buildings separated by firewalls. It is the only surviving example of a commercial building style that was common in Worcester at the time. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It is now mostly occupied by residences.

The Worcester Market Building is a historic commercial building at 627 Main Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. When it was built in 1914, it was believed to be the largest grocery supply building in the nation. It was built for Fayette Asyril Amidon, who had founded the Worcester Market in 1894 after establishing a similar enterprise in Providence, Rhode Island. The building was designed by Oreste Ziroli, an Italian immigrant who worked as a draftsman for the building's builder, J. W. Bishop. The exterior of the building is terracotta that has been decorated with medallions on agricultural themes.The market was designed with modern (for the period) ideas of efficiency. The main floor, covering 25,000 square feet (2,300 m2), was devoted to retail space, and was designed to comfortably handle 4,500 customers. The basement and second floor were storage space, arranged so that supplies were located near their retail points on the main floor. These areas were connected to the main floor by elevators, eliminating the need for delivery vehicles to move in customer aisles.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Saint Joseph's Home for Working Girls is an historic social services building at 52 High Street in downtown Worcester, Massachusetts. Completed in 1924, it was operated for many years as a home for needy women by the Sisters of Mercy. Since 2009 it has been home to Abby's House, which continues the same mission. The building, designed by Edward Fitzgerald, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2021.

The Hadley Furniture Company Building is a historic retail building at 651-659 Main Street in downtown Worcester, Massachusetts. The five story brick building was built in 1923–24 to a design by the local architectural firm of Cutting, Carleton & Cutting. The Hadley Furniture Company, founded in 1914, sought to expand from earlier premises closer to City Hall, and commissioned its construction. As a representative of a significant specialty retail presence in the city, and for its architectural styling, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

The Aurora Hotel is a historic hotel building at 652-660 Main Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. The six story Classical Revival building was built in 1898 for Charles Stevens, son of a Worcester businessman, who was a lawyer and major landowner in the city. It features decorative carved stone panels, bay windows with pressed metal ornamentation, and a pressed metal cornice. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. It has since been converted to apartments.

The S. D. Newton House is a historic house at 8 Sycamore Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. Built in 1846, it is an excellent local instance of Greek Revival styling, and one of the few houses surviving from that period in the neighborhood. which once had many more of such houses. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 5, 1980. Unfortunately the current keeper of the home has let it go. Not much original left. Garbage everywhere on the inside. Lead paint, peeling paint. An eyesore it has become. It once was a great piece of local history.

The Vendome and the St. Ives are a pair of historic residential apartment houses in Worcester, Massachusetts. The Vendome (17-19 Chandler) was built in 1898 by Judson W. Hall to a design by the noted local architectural firm of Barker & Nourse, on property where Hall previously had a house. The five story building is primarily faced in Roman brick, with pressed metal bay windows, sandstone lintels, and decorative sandstone panels. The St. Ives (21-23 Chandler) was built c. 1913, also for Hall. It is stylistically similar to its neighbor, but is slightly wider, possessing two central window bays where The Vendome has one.The buildings were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The Harold D. Donohue Federal Building and United States Courthouse, formerly known as the U.S. Post Office and Courthouse, is a courthouse of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts located in Worcester, Massachusetts.

The Enterprise Building is an historic commercial building at 540 Main Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. When it was built in 1900, this five story brick building achieved notice for its elaborate Beaux Arts decorations. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Stevens' Building is a historic commercial building located at 24–44 Southbridge Street in downtown Worcester, Massachusetts. It is one of the city's most imposing mid-19th century buildings. The brick building is four stories for most of its length on Southbridge Street, and also presents a finished facade to Burnside Court. The central portion rises to a full five stories with a flat roof, while the north and south sections are four floors with a low pitch roof. The oldest portion of the building was the central portion, built sometime in the 1850s. The Stevens Brothers, manufacturers of wooden architectural building parts, purchased this building c. 1867, extended it northward to Burnside Court, and used it as factory space. By 1870 they had bought the land south of the building, and erected as a freestanding building seven bays of the present building. The two buildings were then joined together later in the 1870s. The fifth floor of the central section was probably added after a fire in the early 1900s.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Cathedral of Saint Paul — informally known as Saint Paul's Cathedral — is the mother church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Worcester. It is located at 38 Chatham Street in downtown Worcester, Massachusetts. Built between 1868 and 1889, it is one of the city's finest examples of Victorian Gothic architecture, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Willard Richmond Apartment Block is an historic apartment house at 43 Austin Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. Built sometime between 1879 and 1886, it is one of the first apartment blocks built in the Main-Wellington-Chandler area, which had one of the city's highest concentrations of such buildings by 1900. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
