Fuhlensee

The Kronsee is a lake in the Holstein Switzerland region of North Germany. It lies on the River Schwentine between the Kleiner Plöner See, upstream, and the Fuhlensee, downstream, south of Wahlstorf Manor House. It has an area of 23 hectares (57 acres), is up to 8 metres deep and lies about 20 m above sea level (NN).

The Lanker See has a surface area of 323.6 hectares (1.249 sq mi), is up to 21 metres deep and is about 19 m above sea level (NN). It is divided into a large northern and a smaller southern part, that are joined by a passage a little more than 1 metre deep. Without the islands its shore length is 17 km. The Lanker See lies in the borough of Preetz and the municipalities of Kühren, Wahlstorf and Schellhorn.

The Kirchsee is a lake in Plön district in the north German state of Schleswig-Holstein, in a region known as "Holstein Switzerland". The Kirchsee is the lake in the town centre of Preetz. The original settlement of Preetz is situated on its western shore. This is also the location of Preetz's town church, after which the lake is named. The Kirchsee is crossed by the River Schwentine, which flows from the south, from the Lanker See. The lake has an area of 10 hectares (25 acres), is up to 6 metres deep and lies at an elevation of about 20 m above sea level (NN). Today the lake is nearly surrounded by built-up areas.

Preetz (German pronunciation: [ˈpʁeːts]) is a town southeast of Kiel in the district of Plön, in Schleswig-Holstein, Northern Germany. Preetz is also known as "Schusterstadt" (English: 'shoemaker town') named after shoemakers who used to live and work in this town. Preetz has a population of about 16,000 and is the largest city in the district of Plön.

The Arboretum Lehmkuhlen (50 hectares) is an arboretum maintained by the Guts- und Forstverwaltung Lehmkuhlen. It is located in Lehmkuhlen, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, and open by appointment only.The arboretum was created between 1911-1928 by Cosmos von Milde under Conrad Hinrich IV. Freiherr von Donner, who planted approximately 1500 tree specimens from around the world. Today the arboretum contains about 3200 individual plants of approximately 1000 specimens, including mature specimens of Abies grandis, Abies nordmanniana, Fraxinus ornus, Juglans ailantifolia, Mespilus germanica, Quercus alba, Quercus castaneifolia, Quercus dentata, and Quercus trojana. A municipal cemetery has been created in its northwestern corner.
