Preetz Priory (German: Kloster Preetz) is a former Benedictine nunnery in the town of Preetz, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It operates today as a collegiate residence for ladies (Stift).

Preetz (German pronunciation: [ˈpʁeːts]) is a town southeast of Kiel in the district of Plön, in Schleswig-Holstein, Northern Germany. Preetz is also known as "Schusterstadt" (English: 'shoemaker town') named after shoemakers who used to live and work in this town. Preetz has a population of about 16,000 and is the largest city in the district of Plön.

The original settlement of Preetz is situated on its western shore. This is also the location of Preetz's town church, after which the lake is named. The Kirchsee is crossed by the River Schwentine, which flows from the south, from the Lanker See. The lake has an area of 10 hectares (25 acres), is up to 6 metres deep and lies at an elevation of about 20 m above sea level (NN). Today the lake is nearly surrounded by built-up areas.

Almost the entire western area from the lakeshore to the tracks of the Preetz-Ascheberg railway line are a nature reserve. The Lanker See has a surface area of 323.6 hectares (1.249 sq mi), is up to 21 metres deep and is about 19 m above sea level (NN). It is divided into a large northern and a smaller southern part, that are joined by a passage a little more than 1 metre deep. Without the islands its shore length is 17 km. The Lanker See lies in the borough of Preetz and the municipalities of Kühren, Wahlstorf and Schellhorn.
